  1. Hey, I'm 'BelleStarr', named after the real outlaw, Belle Starr! She married three times (I believe one was an outlaw) and had three children. She once beat her son for mistreating her horse. She would harbour fugitives and her illegal activities made her quite wealthy so she would use bribery to free them. She used to ride through towns randomly shooting off her pistols and was once imprisoned for a year though it didn't alter her behaviour. "Belle's unrepentant attitude was best expressed in a comment to a Dallas newspaper reporter: "I am a friend to any brave and gallant outlaw."" I think she had a thing for bad boys. ???? She was murdered in 1889. Her murder is unsolved, but they say she was shot four times from behind with her own shotgun. "Belle Starr was buried on her ranch with a marble headstone on which was engraved a bell, her horse, a star and the epitaph written by her daughter Pearl which reads: "Shed not for her the bitter tear, Nor give the heart to vain regret; 'Tis but the casket that lies here, The gem that filled it sparkles yet."" I decided to name myself after her because I like her name, she led a literally wild lifestyle and she sounds nuts. It sounds like she was one of the boys and I feel that way when it comes to gaming and my love for Red Dead Redemption (any other cowgirls here?!).???? I completed the first game when I was around 15/16 years old - I believe it was the first game I'd completed up until that point, so there was something about it that got me hooked! It's one of the few games that provoked emotion and sometimes shock in me, whilst leaving a permanent mark in my memory (referring to that notorious 'Flowers for a Lady' mission). I think that says a lot about Rockstar and their incredible ability to produce excellent games and they deserve every success that comes their way! I am currently hooked on gathering any and all information on RDR2 and I have ended up getting myself very excited for it which is never a good idea, especially months before its release!????Please tag me in new threads with new information. Anyway, I'm happy to have found this forum (I like the design too). Feel free to say hi below so I can get to know you all. Cya cowboys!

  2. As highlighted in a section of this video, they suggest that we could find out about the Blackwater Massacre and what happened. Considering it happened in 1899, I get the feeling R* wanted to make RDR2 and include this massacre in it, whilst making RDR1. Reading the wiki, it sounds like a revolt against the police department, so possibly Dutch's gang attack the lawmen directly at some point in Blackwater? It is believed that one of Bonnie's brothers may have died during the massacre which she attributes to 'foolish choices' - was he part of a choice (likely by Dutch) to take down lawmen? Landon Ricketts is assumed to be on the side of the lawmen at the time of RDR2 and he moved to Mexico after the massacre. It was said in the paper "another piece of the Old West was lost." which suggests Landon's importance to the west, so it seems logical to have him return. We may eventually (and likely briefly) meet Heidi McCourt as she was shot by Dutch during a ferry robbery, when John was left for dead. She was mentioned in the Strange Man side quest. Not much is known about her so she provides a good character for R* to work with that previous players will have some idea of who she is. We may end up bumping into Cole McFarlane, one of Bonnie's deceased brothers, so there are a couple of names we can look out for. In this video, it is suggested that the blonde, unknown man in one of the trailers could be Cole. The story in RDR1 seems full and well rounded but as you look at each character, there are many 'unknowns' that leave a lot for R* to work with and weave into RDR2, which could lead us to learn a lot more about the characters we met and heard of. Edit: I'd also like to remind people of the Strange Man who was basically a ghost and people have referred to him as either God or Satan. I feel like he may be a man that John has met in the past, who maybe wasn't an integral part to his story but witnessed what happened in the gang or kept tabs on their activities. It would be nice to have some sort of answer to this in RDR2 somewhere. This is a cross post of my own thread made on the RDR subreddit.

  4. Because I can't get enough of RDR2, I had a dream last night about it.????I was in the game but playing the early access demo and was met with a terrible bug in the game which I messed around with but then the character's face went all distorted (eyes popping out etc) and then I realised why the game hadn't been released yet.

  5. I cycle between GTAO, BF1 and FC5 at the moment. When RDR2 comes out I will cycle between RDR2 and RDR2.
