I have asked the same question to myself many times. Most of us just want to have a civil conversation and help each other, not get bashed on because your information isn't helping.3 points

Way to go being a complete jerk to someone is only trying to help you find a solution. What is it with some of these people lately who have been joining up in the last few days?3 points

My funny story is there's a regular "Stranger" NPC that often appears in the Saloon in Valentine (with the barber) who looks like a typical mountain man/trapper. He's a big boy too. He's always drunk and starts in on me and then starts a fight. First time, he kicked my ass, my screen flashes DEAD. I respawn outside down the street. Then another time I played, I see him in the bar again, this time he's standing at the bar. Same thing, he starts a fight and beats my ass to death. By this point, I'm thinking there's a reason this is happening, and I start thinking that if I beat him, something cool will happen... Another time I go there and there he is again! Same attitude, but this time I avoid him long enough to have a few meals of lamb at the bar in an effort to gain weight. After like 4 meals, I make my way over to his table by the barber chair. A fight ensues. He's rocking Arthur, suddenly Arthur unholsters my Volcanic Pistol and starts pistol-whipping this big brute into the shadow realm. I FINALLY BEAT HIM!... But nothing happens, except I get a wanted level. I leave the area for a minute or two. Then another time, I see him again! I March up to his table, thinking I had to have earned his respect, I greet him and the bastard wants to go for round 4! I promptly left before fists and pistol grips flew lol! Nothing cool happened, turns out he's just an ass hole Hahaha!3 points

For me riding falls into 3 "fast" modes ... 1 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every stride of the horse, tap, tap, tap, tap, and that makes the horse go very fast, but it also slowly loses stats and pants, this is the stride when you're running away from a pack of something that you simply won't be able to survive, and also when you just want to get somewhere in a hurry and you know the horse can rest when you get there. 2 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every other stride of the horse, tap, pause, tap, pause, tap, pause, tap, pause, and that makes the horse run at a sustainable stride without losing stats, but it won't let the horse recover stats from 1 tap, for that you have to switch to 3 tap until stats recover. 3 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every third stride of the horse, tap, pause, pause, tap, pause, pause, tap, pause, pause, as the horse is running, and this is sustainable indefinitely, but is a little slower than 2 tap, and is really good for letting the horse make fast progress while recovering from 1 tap. That's how I do it, anyway.2 points

To Artur you listen! install it and play it at your NORMAL settings that already look good on ps4pro hdr enabled games like spiderman. we have all messed with our settings soo much that a lot of us can’t get back.2 points

I noticed in the clip that your horse's stamina core is depleted. It's blinking to call your attention to that. Running up and down mountains full speed with a dead buck on its back, and no wonder it's complaining to you. The game is not broken -- it is trying to tell you something.2 points

Welcome all the guys who is new in this topic! Rockstar we need your attention!2 points

hello I'm Italian, I have a ps4 pro ... I'm playing the game on a sony 55xe9305 tv I proceeded to calibrate hdr in the game at 500 ... but nothing is too blurred ... you know something on a patch. thank you2 points

Exactly. Random people will join the forum to get the information they want with no respect towards others and unfortunately get away with it. People have to realize we are normal people, not Rockstar support. We talk and be civil about the game, we are not wizards and we do not run off magic and automatically solve issues. If something is seriously wrong, and you did everything in your power to fix it and it doesn't work, contact Rockstar and report the bug. We are definitely not the people to get mad at.2 points

I swear, I've gone almost a whole year getting on with everyone and then in just this week I've already added 4 to my ignore list. ....first time I've had to use it in these forums.2 points

First and foremost, welcome to the forum angry stranger. Also, you might have a corrupted game save. In this case, you started the actual game save you mentioned that takes you to where you left off, but no guns and DLC. Since you know how to "Play" maybe earn them back? If your that pissed about it and you have no choice but to continue the story with no DLC guns or horse, maybe do the gold duplicate glitch. You earn $15,000 when you do the glitch, and you can repeat the glitch until you have all the money you can think about. That way, you don't have to worry about getting money. However, if the DLC items mean that much to you, since you paid extra for it, you might just have to restart the game. It's shocking all of your DLC content is there when you start a new game, but your DLC items aren't there when you continue where you left off? Doesn't make much sense. Again, I recommend deleting the DLC files and re-installing and keep trying. If you did your best, then just do the gold duplicate glitch and save the time of making money and just get money instantly. Unless the DLC items mean that much to you, then restart the game. YOUR CALL. Not to mention my advice is small talk because it's a simple solution. I had many people make a post about lost DLC items, and they resolved it using the method I just explained to you. I know how to play the game to sir, I beat the entire game a while ago, so I am on the forum a lot, so I have nothing BUT time, no need for me to save it.2 points

watching the gameplay trailer in 4k on youtube I noticed that the blur was not present at all while it is apparently images from the pro version, I also noticed that the view used in the trailers was the 2nd sight just the one after the FPS view off I just tested on my tv 4k on ps4 pro and this is certainly the most blurred view of all. FPS and 3rd sight remain the best to mitigate the blur. I will also take screenshots during precise gameplay scenarios exactly with the same weather and compare between the game ps4 pro now released for a week and the famous trailers all beautiful without blur.2 points

This happened to me, and I have the digital version. First, close application on your system, and go to the main Red Dead Redemption 2 game page. Scroll down until you see add-ons, then you should see your DLC there, or go to your downloads or purchased items. However, if your on XBOX, steps may be different but should be similar. Once you see your DLC files, they should be already installed, delete the files, and reinstall. Once you reinstall the files, go back into Red Dead Redemption 2 and then start the game. Once you are loaded, go to the stables, and your horse will be there. (your welcome). If this doesn't work, do it again. Also, as for the weapons, they should be accessible in the gunsmith if you BOUGHT them. If however, you did not buy them, it's not your gun, and you will not be getting them back. However, if you did buy the gun from the gunsmith, go get your horse back from the stables in the steps I showed above. (it automatically comes with the saddle) and then once you and the horse exits the stable, get off your horse, and choose L1 to pick from your horse saddle of inventory of weapons, and it should be there if you purchased it. Once you have your gun, you should still have your customized weapon, if not, go into the gunsmith, and the custom attachments should already be listed as "owned" and you just select it back. Get back to me if it works, and I hope this helps you guy. Good luck 😎2 points

Not sure why he does this...a lot of times I simply just dismount my horse, and he punches him. I don't get it...it's not like I open the weapon wheel and choose the fist, I just dismount and he decides to lay a right cross on my horse, who I've incidentally named 'DUMMY'. Glitch? Nah, this is R* we're talking about! 🙄 Seriously, if anyone knows what I might be doing, feel free to let me know! Anyone else have this problem?1 point

Every chapter has a different number of quests. I don't know how long time-wise they take however. But they seem to be fairly evenly spaced between the chapters, for the most part.1 point

The article says that an update is planned on ps4 pro for the problem of fuzziness(vagueness) that meets the players of the whole world. However big disappointment the orsque I saw that the article it was based on the small message of the computer of Rockstar. another false hope..1 point

This is a good explanation. Took me ages to figure this stuff out myself. Some of the mechanics really should be explained better in-game.1 point

So... you came to a forum for the game? It's laughable that they can grade an incomplete game when the online mode hasn't even been released. Are they only grading the story mode? Fine, but the game is riddled with bugs and errors. I can't tell you how many times I've had to shoot someone or choke them to death in a fistfight after ten minutes of beating the crap out of them because they won't go down.1 point

So you can see those weird thing on a lot of PC Games. It is the temporal AA. If someone have the last F1 titles of codemasters. Here you can see this in a perfect way. This is postprocessing AA. The blur starts with moving, mostly on middle and higher drawdistances. I´m sure now, the checkerboarding is fine. It is the damned TAA, that dobles the blur effect with motion blur and depth of field. I think the only good temporal Antialiasing what produce nearly no blur is smaa. THis technique was enough to reduce jagged edges on high resolutions. I have talked about that all with the support guy. You can talk with your hand and you will become a better answer. This is really no configuration problem of our tv´s I´ve talked about that to with the support. Turn off HDR this is the only answer, I think the supportteam are bots. We receive all the same unacceptable answers.1 point

Try this... When your in the loading screen and your stuck do the following exactly as I explain it: Hit pause button Hit the down arrow 4 times Hit X or A (4 times) slowly. NOT FAST. Once you do this, close application and restart the game it should work.1 point

A few, as in probably 30 - the max from duping them. Honestly man, there is no reason to do that. You have everything you need to play, earning money along the way for the more expensive things is kind of built in. I dont know what would be the point in upgrading your camp to max, buying all weps + upgrades along with recipes in the very beginning of the game. It wont help you any better and definitely will be missing the big part of the game of earning your stuff along the way.1 point

All you gotta do is calm them down and then pat them. Lol not that difficult dude. After the first time it happened you didn't think that maybe you were doing something wrong lol? Do a little trial and error I actually thought it was pretty funny the first time it happened to me, and was a realistic and cool little mechanic that plays off of the whole bonding with your horse thing and reinforces the importance of it. Anyway, it made me laugh picturing some guy rage quitting after being drop kicked by a horse for the 5th time.1 point

It's nice to see I"m not the only one who gets sucked in by the gambling. I spent two in-game days playing poker in Valentine after unlocking it.1 point

Control schemes can make or break a game. Your main way of interacting with the virtual world, the middleman between your intentions and their manifestation in-game, comfortable controls are key for an enjoyable gaming experience. Red Dead Redemption 2 has several control presets allowing you some measure of customization. This guide will help you with the most common control scheme related problems. One of the most common control gripes with Red Dead Redemption 2 is sprinting. Many, many games have managed to put together comfortable control schemes, making Rockstar being bogged down in this a bit of a headscratcher. To sprint, you need to tap either X or A, depending on system. This won't do. In the controls settings, you have several control preset options to choose from. These have been named after what they're most suited for, however you should disregard that. Switch over to the "Standard FPS" option. You don't need to switch your camera perspective, as this preset is better in third-person view as well. This control scheme swaps the sprint and crouch inputs, making the left analog stick responsible for sprinting. Now navigate to Accessibility Options in the menu, and select Running Mode. You should set this to Toggle to Run. This way you get the sprinting controls common in most games these days - press the analog stick to maintain sprinting. Pressing it again will return you to jogging and easing off the stick will return you to walking. Depending on your preferences, there are a number of other control tweaks that can improve your experience. We recommend turning Aim/Look Dead Zone to the minimum setting for more responsive controls. When it comes to Aim/Look Acceleration, pushing the setting to the maximum turns it off for some reason, but this results in much smoother camera control. Every player should tailor Aim Assist and axis sensitivity to their own liking, but you shouldn't just leave it at default. You might not even know you need to adjust these settings, but once you've played around with them you'll almost definitely find a setting better suited to your playstyle. Something that should be standard practice by now since companies refuse to set default FOV to max is turning FOV to max. This is easy to forget, but your Red Dead Redemption 2 experience will be greatly improved by it. Another smaller tweak we suggest is disabling auto-center. This rubberbands the camera to refocus on the default state, which can be annoying when you want to take in the sights. If you're running low on cash, check out our money making guide as well as our gold bar guide.
