Wow dude... Calm yourself... Most of the comments were people actually trying to help you... Sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious... You wouldn't be having these problems if you followed some of the advice here.

Ever have a bounty hunt go as stupidly as this one? In my defense, it was about 2 am, and my brain had long since began to drift... I picked up a bounty mission in Valentine. Just had to go near Wallace Station, capture a woman outlaw, and return her alive to the Valentine jail. I had a $300 bounty on my own head in West Elizabeth (thanks a lot, Micah!), but it shouldn't be a problem, as I only had to step across the county line briefly. My first few attempts were all foiled by bounty hunters coming after me just as I was approaching my target. That would start a mission lock-down, and my target would disappear. I ran a couple of times, and stayed to fight (and die) twice. There were just too many of them. I decided to pay off the bounty and come back later. Went on to other stuff, and made enough money to pay off the bounty after a bit. I happened to be in Saint Denis when I decided to try again, so I took the train to Wallace Station instead of riding since it was so far away. Made it there only to discover that my horse did not follow. I tried camping and sleeping in hopes it would spawn nearby, but no luck. And for some reason, there is no stable within miles of this area. So I just went in on foot. I figured maybe she had a horse I could steal. She did not. I hog-tied her and started carrying her back to Valentine on foot. Let me tell you, it is a long, long trek! But maybe I would find a horse along the way. Hmm... where is everybody? I've been carrying this lady for MILES, and there's nobody around. I got about two-thirds of the way there, and finally someone comes by on a horse. Of course I shot him in the head to take his steed, but as soon as I do, I get the message: MISSION FAILED. YOU RECEIVED A BOUNTY. (Or something like that). Respawned, still without my horse, back near Wallace Station again. It was now about 3 am, but I was stubborn and stupid. Hog-tied her again, and ran her all the way back to Valentine on foot. Got a whole $25 for my effort, so I guess it was worth it, right? Arthur called it a night, and softly cried himself to sleep.

Just to chime in and add to what you said. There are TWO distinct and separate problems with RDR2 on PS4 Pro. 1 - 4K Checkerboard Rendering from a 1080p source is absolutely ridiculous. With an added, aggressive AA solution, resulting in a blurry image. It is absolutely NOT anything to do with TV settings. Because every other PS4 game looks BETTER than RDR2 on PS4 Pro. This is simply unacceptable from the highest profile game developer on the planet. 2 - HDR is fake. Not even just broken, but absolutely a FAKE implementation - this has been proven by measuring the color ranges in the supposedly "HDR" mode. But this is not only on Ps4 Pro. This is on every platform. And R* knows they implemented a FAKE HDR solution. It was no accident. And therefore they should not get a free pass because they LIED to their consumers.

It is pretty amazing the amount of in depth customization you have available to you in this game so let's see how you decided to dress, shave and style your Arthur! This is my outlaw as of last night. Trying to get that beard to max length. Digging the flat cap though. Sorry for the mediocre quality.

I don't get it, why can''t we: craft during missions.. seems ****ing obvious to me, craft some tobacco or something so we're not reliant on a tiny ****in little pool to which we get stamina or dead eye from. restart a god damn mission from the pause menu? you create this ridiculous criteria we're supposed to tick off, making the game a boring slog, but we have to find some random way of dying just to get the option to restart the piece of sh*t? having to manually reload to then reload the mission and waste more time. the missions are hard the first time, but we can't see the criteria and then when we can see the criteria you've already ****ed us, it then becomes a painstaking boring arduous game of navigating 500 menus and manually reloading and saving. in a game where any number of random things that can happen to completely **** you up. i can spend 9 hrs retrying 3 missions and it's becomming a chore, the amount of hours spent just wading through menus and plain oversight on rockstar's part is driving me nuts.

I sometimes watch those youtube tip channels, and from them I found out there's all kinds of stuff you can do in RDR2 that I had not noticed or overlooked. I'll stick a few down here now, and I encourage folk to post more as they think of them - anything, however simple, that folk might not realised Determine gun load out at gunsmiths Sit on edge of some cliffs Set a dozen waymarkers on the map (and go straight to map and back without multiple button pushes) Lasso and stab animals when hunting Toggle single push to run option in settings (along with other options) Rest at closed shops to jump to shop opening time Equip pocket watch for in-game animation time telling

Well, it seems R* is working on a "Title update" as they confirmed . It will include a fix for the missing camp members, let's hope it includes a patch for the graphics . To be fair, I shoot A LOT of things in this game. To quote Ash Williams: "Shoot first, think never."

That's a single shot (there's your problem). Use the repeater. I did this by shooting a bounty hunter (and his horse) and some bird that happened to be flying by (using a repeater). HOLD aim (L2), engage dead eye (right stick), press R1 over each target, then shoot (R2) - now you can release L2 Took me a while to figure it out, but it's actually extremely helpful. Get used to it, and you can easily kill 7+ targets at once (and look like a badass in the process).

Selling both Legendary and Perfect pelts to the Trapper unlocks the recipes for the clothing: you do not need to hold onto perfect pelts in your inventory. I knew this was true for Legendary pelts, but it holds true for perfect pelts as well. There are also a TON of side businesses to rob without incurring Honor penalties OR bounties. You just have to keep a look out for "irregularities" in buildings that indicate hidden or inaccessible rooms.

Or Blizzard for that matter. Because the world was clamoring for a Diablo mobile game....

Exactly. The town is a big no-no for guns. There are just too many witnesses, and you will be dead before you know it. However, if you're in a rural area, and you commit and murder, make sure you kill all the witnesses around you, or the law will be coming.

Good advice salty though I intend to hit max honor first, then go down Cheaper equipment is more use early in the game (rather than later), and avoiding crime/law better early too. Once got award for max honor, then go for bandit while going down in honor to hit max low

I get what you're suggesting but I think it's safe to say that RDR2 already has mass appeal. I don't see them changing the challenging or immersive components due to those who don't agree with the gameplay. .....I'm not talking about bugs, glitches, UI enhancements, etc. btw. I agree with you though. I've seen a handful of arguments in this forum regarding gameplay "issues" that seem to suggest that they are taking a hamfisted approach to their play. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... This game rewards finesse and penalizes heavy-handedness. ....and it's all the better for it IMO.

I'm 70% done, taking my time. I've even done all the bandit challenges, I've had my bounty up to $550. I not once have had an issue with bounty hunters unless it was intentional. Pay your bounties, sell some wagons or something. Unless you're playing as a total irresponsible bandito mass murderer, I don't see how this is possible. I've heard this and similar complaints only from people who don't fully understand the game mechanics or who don't want to actually put the work in and play the game. This isn't GTA. I think a lot of people expected this to be gta but with horses, and that isn't how these games are. I most certainly hope Rockstar doesn't start changing things just for mass appeal.

Can you imagine the trainwreck that RDR2 Online is going to be if they allow Cinema mode?

That happened to me. The other night I got pinned between my horse and another. I punched mine and he kicked me across the street! I had to pause because I couldn't see from laughing so hard!

I noticed with another game that had MANY issues that completely closing games will prevent a lot of bugs. Ever since then, I've made it a habit.

Well I no longer have to think about what I'm going to do when I boot up the game later...

I'm guessing you may have missed the message text that explains how Dead Eye changes at a certain level. At the start of the game, simply moving your sights over a target will paint the Xs on. After a certain level, you need to hit R2 for each X. This is actually an improvement on how deadeye works, since you can more carefully place on multiple targets. Edit - never mind. Seems you figured it out while I was typing!

Did you know that if you skin a legendary animal and die, you get credit from the Trapper?

Just realized yesterday that the "eagle eye" vision highlights lootable objects (bookcases, desks, etc). Also just noticed yesterday that dead eye highlights kill shots on animals. That's really helping with perfect pelts! (wasn't paying attention when it was explained, so I just started using dead eye in chapter 2...) @gigemaggs99 pointed this out to me, but I have yet to try it: I know I have a few more (probably obvious) ones that I was oblivious to. I'll be back!

ALWAYS. SAVE. THE GAME. I may spend a lot of time in the menu because I save all the time, but it's better than missing out on something important for a stupid reason. Accidents happen, it's nice to get a redo when you need it.

What do you mean? You will only be permanently broke if you continually rack up large bounties, and you'll only be doing that if you keep committing obvious crimes in towns and shooting the law when they come to arrest you.

I´m waiting for my X.

I just did my first bounty and saw a cut scene that was in one of the trailers. That's why I restarted actually, because there were various bits in the trailers that I never encountered on my first run through. I've already seen two just by doing one extra side mission and making a different decision on another.

I would have bought an X Box One X, but the problem is it doesn't have any exclusives I want. I have a high-end gaming PC too, so 90% of the Xbox One's "exclusives" are also on PC and I own them there. Just hoping for a 4K checkerboard patch for the PS4 Pro at this point - but also really hoping we'll see Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC in a year or two where I can play it at 60 frames per second with all the graphic tinkering options of GTA V on PC.

The mission is called Red Dead Redemption. Although, it's a follow up mission directly after another mission called Our Best Selves (the final train heist).

Instead of player overall, look in the separate health/stamina/dead eye subsections. . That's where they are.

Welcome to the wild west @Stackcluster I completed the story and epilogue already, what an amazing game. Once you reach Saint Denis, that's when the story starts getting crazy good. Also, don't forget to watch the ending credits when you finish the game, I nearly bawled my eyes out.

When I notice I'm in a part of a mission where I'm free to roam and won't have bounty hunters shooting at me, I take the time to send a message (and loot). These were before I got that camera, so now I have a few selfies with the stacks lol I was unimpressed when I checked the xbox stats. It only shows time played, story completion, total completion, and # of gold medals. I would love to know the body count!

Hell, I've spent a few hours stacking bodies already. Edit: Can I get a job @BropolloCreed79? I'm a great body stacker!!! (this got my stamina up to like 6-7 before the game really started)

No reply unfortunately so far. Meanwhile got 2/2 gang hideouts found (1 was main mission), but still stuck on 3/4 camps found of O'Dricsoll gang..

You essentially cannot run with any amount of speed through the woods. It's kinda like that in real life.
