Relax, bro, it's just a 'beta' 🤔 Kidding, of course. This thing is all over the place like a meth head checking their phone while driving on the freeway.3 points

Let's try to look at this from a different perspective. The game did not come with a guide on how to play it...and I'm glad for that. I'm sure there are a lot of people who hop on and think everyone they meet is a foe. That this game is a shooter. I bet you the term 'griefer', or even the concept, would be pretty foreign to them. For many (not all), I would think they'd regard what the OP has described as simply playing the game...trying to get better...giving it the old college try...never giving up. They don't really get it yet...especially being a lower level. Not everyone has gone on the internet in hopes of learning how to be a better RDO member. Obviously, there are many who also grief for sport. Those are usually much higher levels, though.2 points
-
Griefers come in all forms. .....and there are more and more of them cropping up that are low level. I've been in the same boat where we have had to continually kill a low level player simply because he would not go away. We report them and block them. Sometimes it's us that have to eventually leave the session. Gets old really fast IMO as there is no challenge nor desire to continue. This may change with the new update however. With a bounty and NPC posses in the mix, they will likely have their hands full allowing victims to simply move on while they are stuck defending themselves from the law. Also, I doubt many would welcome a Feud. The darkening blip and detection won't do them any favors either as I'm sure there are those who are just waiting at the chance to take these griefers out using that new mechanic as a tool to hunt them down.2 points

And then there was me and my posse wasting ours over at flatneck station blowing each other off the tower to see how far we could fly lol. Good times.2 points

i use them but only on griefers. especially when i want them to go away. i use free aim and sb card so i have to time shots or i will miss. using paint it black will of course be bang on target. ex rounds and shotgun incendiary are effective too. once you craft them go and restock materials then you can craft more if needed. just hold triangle to craft anywhere2 points

Just finished playing for an hour In that time frame, not ONE animal, bird or fish spawned ANYWHERE! Jumped servers approximately 15 times... hell, my horse wouldn't spawn in 5 of those sessions... once I could not get on my horse and in another my horse wouldn't move. Cleared my xbox 1 cache and still NOTHING. Has anybody had this problem or know of any workarounds??2 points

how to pass down all your money from arthur to john:since john will get his satchel, i tried buying 99 of all items and that did not work. john only get several , not 99, the ginseng elixir got passed down though, all remaining 6, the correct way to pass down money is to : go to the bro and sis pig farm, drink and get urself robbed, then visit the house as john and reclaim all your money behind the painting !!! lol1 point

Lol so last night a friend and I were at camp getting ready to run stranger missions and an other player approached our camp and waved so we obliged and both waved back. This other player then started shooting at us from the edge of our camp ,we tried to ignore it as we were in camp. So I lowered the flag and killed him. Hoping he would go away, he did not... We then left and went on our mission. This other player followed us and kept trying to kill us, after repeatedly killing him I checked to see what level he was. He was a level 5. A level freaking 5! Lol Even though they were the aggressor I felt bad we had to run away from this level 5 so he could live. Lol Is this a form of reverse griefing? Lol had to share as we were laughing our butts off about it last night. what possesses these players, is it ego or just plain stupidity?1 point

Heat exhaustion happens at 99 F to 103 F, heat stroke is 104 F and above body temps. So that would be about 37 C to 39 C for heat exhaustion and 40 and above C body temp for heat stroke. Basically if you get heat stroke you're in serious danger. You're correct, outside ambient air temp doesn't have to be triple digits to get heat stroke or heat exhaustion. Just like you posted hiking in warm weather without properly hydrating will cause it. i've gotten heat exhaustion just from mowing the lawn on a hot day and not properly hydrating myself. Luckily i've never had heat stroke, yet anyway. since we're discussing it Signs for heat exhaustion - Dizziness, headaches, muscle cramps, nausea, confusion and fatigue are the most common. If you have to pee and the urine is dark yellow that's a sign of dehydration. this together with these other symptoms is a sign of trouble. if it gets worse and you go into heat stroke you'll have similar symptoms as heat exhaustion, but worse. Also your pulse will increase, breathing will increase, you may start puking, and your skin will become hot and red, and will be either dry or damp. Heat stroke needs immediate attention, hydration and external cooling of the body are a must until medical professionals can assist. Body temps at 106 F (41 C ) will cause the body to start shutting down organs to protect itself, 107 F (41.5 C ) can cause organ failure and brain damage.1 point

And now if you go hunting or fishing or some other activity that doesn't get you killed. You will make even more xp. I have played with some that go and pick flowers and sells them to doctors or players who hunt or fish that go to the Butcher before the mission ends. Now in my experience, all of these points showed up when the mission was complete.1 point

Glad this worked for you. Doesn't for me. Most times, I can't get my horse. When I do, I'm either disconnected or get stuck in the stable like you noted. No animals or NPC's either. I've submitted a ticket to R* as this game has been mostly unplayable since Feb 18 for me. Up until then, everything was running very smoothly. 😞1 point

I can confirm that the 20% is in effect right now. 12 xp for bird kills 17 for gator kills and so on. We also can confirm story missions are giving 20 % extra too.1 point

I also thought that if we split into 2 posses we can choose one of the forts and play keep the fort.take it in turns to take over the fort.would be fun i reckon.have to find a fair way to split the crew up tho.1 point

Only thing to do is split into 2 posse and grind story missions through from start.at least we can still chat.games bugged to the max.everyones moaning and having same issue.just gotta prey and hope they working miracles this wk.1 point

That is the great part of open communication between players. It should also be considered that they was doing it to grief you, cause they was bored. If players don't communicate or at least try to. Many players have reasons for doing what they are doing, no necessarily good reasons, but reasons none the less.1 point
-
Tips? Shoot them at the ground near a players feet so even if they dive they are blown to bits. Also great to kill players hunkered down somewhere.1 point

On my 3rd playthrough, and absolutely loving it. Long story so I wont bore you with it. What I have noticed on this play through while I am more focused and less overwhelmed are all the litle things I missed previously. Uncle showing his ass around the campfire and mooning, I think Marston, I forget, comes to mind, or one of my favorites, who knew Sean and Karen hooked up? it was really funny, they got together in Marstons tent, and after a little dialogue had a very short interlude, that left Karen unsatisfied, and Sean talking about his, "Sean Jr" lol It is these moments, I moved too quickly in previous attempts to play the game to really take notice. Fishing with the guys, taking pics of the group interacting while Arthur watches from a distance can be great fun. I went out of my way to talk to everyone at camp mutliple times a day when I am there and at night, and listen very carefully to everyone that will talk to you. It is the little things that really make the game, the small details, the Agnes Dowds of RDR2, little hidden stories with clues everywhere if you pay attention, but the camp/group interactions are my favorite.1 point

same on both counts DivineLeft recently submitted a ticket to rockstar on this issue... expecting to get nothing but the run around in return cleared my cache, reset my router, deleted my xbox live profile and recovered. I thought it might have resolved when my game re synced... NOTHING! still experiencing all of the above... wildlife, fish, horse not spawning. Not sure if it's only happening on Xbox? This began happening for me once the 2X XP Posse Bonus was discontinued.1 point

If he's on Xbox, he should report them for harassment through the Xbox Live service. No one deserves to be harassed. That's not part of the game.1 point

I put in another ticket this morning and they got back to me real quick. They said that they are aware of the situation as many people have put in tickets on this. They are trying to identify the problem and put a fix in.1 point

One of my favorite flavor combos is an outdoor grilled burger one of them thick meaty ones, topped with a nice stack of thick-cut bacon, melted cheese, and BBQ sauce while sipping a coke alongside it. I have not tried cola candies bacon but based on this alone, I think I would enjoy it. Meat + coke/cola = heaven.1 point

I am asking cause me and my gal get crap for not doing anything every year from people. Like we are a pair of diseased murderers or something. All my friends and family as well as her's nag us. They ask what we are doing and when we say nothing, it is just another day to us, we get lectured about our relationship. Surely we can't be the only couple who opts out of holidays like these!1 point

They need a private option similar to friday the 13th the game. I cannot avoid this if people are intent on doing regardless of right/or wrong doing. It is not a game breaker by any stretch of the imagination it is more of a thorn....in my ass. Like how is this the way the team behind a game that was delayed 2x think this was the best option? They had time. They werent rushed. With an indie game I kind of expect stuff like this but R* games are always polished with a ton of money behind them. Its fine Ill man up. I was just curious if this was the "Norm"1 point

only I think this system is profoundly wrong? it does not reward the ability or the speed of the player to complete the missions ...1 point

A lot of it has to do with people not mic'ing up or communicating in PUGs. Two weeks ago I ran into two players in a mission who explained to me what they were doing, and I was more than happy to go along with the plan. It ended up being quite enjoyable--much more so than aimlessly wandering around the map trying to grind out pelts for cash. This game was designed for grouping up, there's no two-ways about it. I loathe grouping with randoms, but I got lucky and found a couple groups to float in and out of who are of a similar mindset, and clear communication does a lot to make the game more enjoyable in the absence of actual endgame content or a "passive' toggle. Now, when I'm on, I actively look to group up because the game is a completely different experience than playing solo. They probably should have told you what they were doing, or they assumed you were aware of the exploit that R* has built into missions. The intent isn't to "ruin it for others"--it's to help others maximize their time in the game. Every group I've been a part of the last two weeks has implemented this strategy to get the biggest XP and $$$ payout from the mission they're playing. Once someone explained it to me, I was more than happy to go along for the ride. It also made the game far more enjoyable as I met some fun players to talk to, and eventually group with in Free Roam. And let me tell you, riding in a group of three or four in Free Roam has been a game-changer. Duos and single players keep an eye on you from afar, but they don't dare get close. Safety in numbers is a very real thing in the FR experience. But getting back to the groups; if you want to smash out missions as quickly as possible, you're probably better off finding a group of like-minded individuals and forming a posse, or else talking to the people in your pugs about what you want to do instead of judging them for having a different (albeit legitimate) strategy for completing the mission.1 point

Also good for those slippery bastards if you don't have paint it black. Or even if you do and want to see people fly. Or knock people off something you either can't get up to or have difficulty getting to. Dynamite arrows are delicious1 point

Yes you can. Besides some fun flying targets moments, the sabotage of rival posse missions and killing hiding players would be the main purpose for the dynamite arrows.1 point

If folks have bugs to report that are happening to them, they should be reporting them. Someone reporting a list of known bugs from the community isn't going to do anything to be honest. I've reported quite a few bugs myself that I've run across (some more than once when I've had more information about them that I thought might help), and most of them I have received a response that it is a known problem that R* is working on. How many of these will be addressed in the coming update is anyone's guess. However, please note that there is supposed to be additional details released this week regarding the update next week. I will say that I highly doubt that R* Support will provide any of those details before the official announcement is made in the release notes or however that is communicated. .....but it doesn't hurt to ask.1 point

There are few games I play more than once and even fewer I play 3 times. This will be the first game I intend to play 3 times through in many, many years. There is so much to see it is impossible to catch it all on one play through.1 point

Hi, I play most afternoons and weekends (UK - GMT). My aim is to level up gaining XP doing the missions & gang hideout clearing, I will always loot corpses where possible & don’t say no to free items in houses either. The aim is having fun on the journey. I also hunt, gather & fish. I’m not a griefer but happy to hunt them in a posse if they become persistent & annoying, messing up my day but would prefer to leave them alone. I’m level 38 hopefully 39 by tomorrow (19/02/2019). I have created a posse but my nephew doesn’t play much (he is a fortnite fan). I would enjoy making new regular online friends to get the most out of RDR2 online either riding out in your posse or in mine. I have a headset & am polite & respectful during conversations. Contact me if interested. Cheers1 point

A couple of weeks ago I was riding away from lagras not galloping but not trotting either. I came up to like a set of trees or something. This lad runs out right in front of me. Not at me. it was like he was chasing something or being chased. Anyway I knocked him down but didn't kill him. I turned around to emote wave as if to say sorry. But pressed right trigger by mistake. Pulled out my bow and arrow and killed him. I felt awful.1 point

that would make it more interesting. you could kill Micah over and over I'd suffer heat stroke with Arthur every day for that lol1 point

I tend to do this just to avoid the possibility of the player I killed getting his gang involved. I can take on one or two guys but three or more and I am f'd in the a.1 point

Most of what passes as "journalism" these days is anything but. 99% of what you see on a "newscast" is opinion, as opposed to fact. The internet has fostered the dreams and ambitions of armchair journalists who have access and a medium without the training and discipline of actual journalists.1 point

if you're on xbox save the game (or if you have a save near that mission use it) then exit the game in the game menu or game management menu. Shut the xbox off for 30 seconds or so using the button on the console. restart the console, load that save and try again.1 point
