  1. Not sure how it works on PS4. But on XBOX, if your main account has xbox gold, any account you log on with has access to xbox gold. So you can make a bunch of accounts, log in, create new characters. So ended up making a bunch of accounts. Mostly for role playing purposes/character type play. Some I play as bad, good... or just trolling. For example. I got a really chubby girl. I ride up to people or play co-op missions. But I don't shoot them or shoot anything, I just eat tons of food standing next them. Or ride into camps and ask people "invite to posse for stew plz" I got a Native American character, A hot girl, Sweating Inbred Hilly Billy.. If you're bored, try it out.

  3. Agreed. I say it to my posse mates all the time, first fix constant DC's, spawning, and camps, THEN, worry about stupid stuff like swine masks and zombies. Rockstars engine is misfiring and running poorly. But hey!! Check out these shiny new wheels!!!

  5. I used to smoke and got close to a pack a day in a short period of time about 30 years ago until one day I just had enough. I felt like crap and was tired of it. I had a high stress driving job and it was one way to help deal with the idiots on the road. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that just never had an addictive personality. I can do the same with alcohol as I will sometimes just not have the taste for it for a while, etc. I'm not going to say that I didn't have cravings for a smoke nor will I say I stopped entirely. It was more difficult back then as you could smoke just about anywhere you wanted. .....bars were the worst because it seemed smoking and booze were a natural match and I was at the age when we were always going out. However, I did essentially stop smoking that day but would still have one or two when going out with friends who smoked and offered. It eventually dwindled to the point where I would only smoke maybe 6 days out of the year when my wife and I would go to Vegas. ....I'd buy a pack of Dunhills and we'd share that for the weekends we were there. I never really missed it in between. At some point I just stopped all together as even the 1 or 2 I might have in a year became zero. The thing is, I never made it about "quitting". I just made the conscious decision to cut back and eventually I just didn't want one. .....but hell, who knows, I still might strike one up one of these days or a cigar which I never stopped indulging in when the mood strikes me.

  7. You will be able to use whatever controller your computer supports. If you want a PS controller though, you may need additional software to run it on your computer, that all depends. There are some Sony licensed PC controllers out there though which might be worth investing in.

  8. Checking out R*'s webpage now, your pre-purchase just gets you 1 free PC title. So that got changed sometime when I pre-purchased and got 2 free games, and you pre-purchased and got 1 game. https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/pc

  9. I think this was a temporary deal. I would contact Rockstar and ask just so you know for sure. I think the deal for 2 games was only for one week if I am not mistake but I could have misread something.

  10. How did your marathon go? I would imagine things are wrapping up for you at this point. Where I am, it is already dark so Sunday evening. I wouldn't have had it in me to do a marathon. Had to work overtime this week so I ended up sleeping in yesterday and today.

  11. The longest gaming marathon I have had in recent years was when RDR2 first came out and I played the game about 8 hours straight. Since then, I tend to only be able to sit still and play a game maybe 2 hours tops. I have to get up and move around, even if I am enjoying the game. I have knee issues so the longer I sit, the more I risk being in pain so that is not fun. I would love to have joined in a marathon with others but my legs just won't allow it. lol

  12. Yeah, I don't think I've had one of those for many, many years. I'm semi-retired now and still can't bring myself to sit in front of the TV to play games for the whole day let alone weekend. ....although I will do the occasional 4+ hours in the evenings if I feel up to it. .....and sometimes during the weekend days if I'm not able to do anything else. I dunno..... I just can't bring myself to play games during the day most times. Just doesn't feel right to me. I can't relax and enjoy it like I can at the end of the day. .....what's funny is that I can watch stuff on TV without a guilty conscience though. lol

  13. Well, yesterday I worked. Today I’m sitting in a pharmacy waiting for a flu shot... then off to pick up some elk meat. Later I’ll finish up some wiring on my UTV and get the snow plow mounted. I’ll find time to goof with the boys somewhere in there... Then back to work tomorrow... I don’t think I’ve had a gaming marathon since the days we’d all take our computers to someone’s house, make our own little LAN and have a weekend long Warcraft 2 or Starcraft battle...

  14. Tell me about it. Last weekend was the same for me. The day's of gaming when were kids are long gone. By the way, one You Tuber has rumored that Red Dead Online will be available on PC at launch. I just hope that there are no server side issue's at launch, like we are experiencing on consoles.

  15. It will be supported. I can 100% guarantee it. A lot of PC games have support and more are getting it. It is a good feature to have for people who don't like the keyboard and mouse feel when it comes to this style of game.

  16. Just tried it and, yes, this method still works.

  17. I plan on using the Xbox controller for Red Dead Redemption 2. Most games that I play the controller is the better option for me. Other games, keyboard and mouse is the way to go. I could be wrong, but I think that those who wish to use the PS4 controller on PC will have to map out their buttons since it only auto ports on Xbox controllers. Maybe someone who uses the PS4 controller on PC can confirm.

  18. I can say this, my gaming desk currently has an Asus VG245 60Hz 1080p monitor with the PlayStation 4 Slim and the Xbox One X. Keep in mind that I'm only running at 1080p. GTA 5 is far better on my gaming laptop with Intel i5 and GTX 1050 TI 4 GB then the Xbox One X. But comparing Call of Duty WWII, it is way better on the Xbox One X. Assassin's Creed Origins is amazing on the Xbox One X, but I don't have it on PC to compare. In general, I find that the PC will offer you more, but not alway's. Optmization is key. Digital Foundary concluded that the Xbox One X provided the best experience for Red Dead Redemption 2 on console due to the hardware. No doubt that the PC version will be great!.

  19. This is what I was talking about: I couldn't remember the name of it by a friend of mine owns one and he says it works great. A bit pricey but it is licensed.

  20. Going to have to agree with this based on what I have read myself as well as seen in similar games. The control system is there so it would be kind of stupid if they didn't allow controllers to work.

  21. It was earlier this year. I'm working on a new save that is going to replace my current "main" save (I managed to study, track, and skin every animal on Guarma, which I didn't do in the other one), so I figure if I ever have a chance of reaching 100%, it's on that save. Here's the thread.

  22. I don't recall seeing anything official with that. I think I have seen 3rd party controllers at Fry's that look like a PS4 controller, for use on the PC. Here is a guide with setting that up. You also need to use a free 3rd party program DS4Windows. https://www.pcgamer.com/how-to-use-a-ps4-controller-on-pc/

  23. i think it should be available (based on GTA V) however i really wanna know if itll just be xbox controller support cause i really dont know, i play on playstation. for games such as these ive never understood keyboard and mouse play as with special mechanics such as flying or now horseriding i never saw it possible i mean i managed to land an avenger upside down and i was on controller i just dont see how keyboard and mouse will work with horses.

  24. Don't they make PS4 controllers specifically for PC? I could have sworn some brands had them. I know the licensed Sony ones have some issues but work.

  25. I sure hope they allow the support. I would be kinda pissed if they don't. This kind of game functions best when playing with a controller. I'd hate to use a keyboard riding a horse around.

  26. It's the Xbox Wireless Controller. Though it's connected with a usb cable. It works fine for me with other games; DarkSouls, Surge, etc. Though I use K+M for FPS games. I personally like the PS4 controller better. It feels a tad bit smaller. And it's easier for me to use the bumper buttons on the PS4 Controller, than the XBox controller. But I think that's from the many hours playing games on the PS4. I have tried using the PS4 controller on the PC. That works. Though the rumble function might not work. BUT, it gets confusing for me to use when all the in game help, and buttons refer to Xbox buttons (A,B,X,Y) while I'm looking at the PS4's buttons (Sqaure, Triangle, Circle, X). Which is horrible for me when I'm learning to play something. So I got a XBOX controller to help with that. I feel old.

  27. I gotta try that. I never thought to use both. You using the standard controller from xbone? I have one of them pdp ones for when I am at the computer. I find it works better than the licensed xbone one I have.

  28. I too would imagine they will have full on Controller support. So if you want to play it with a controller, just like you play it on the console with a controller, then you should be able to. I can't see why they would not. The PC version of GTA5 was fantastic. You could use both K+M and Controller. I would use the K+M when I was on foot, and/or shooting. Then pick up my XBONE Controller for driving my car. It worked seamlessly and on the fly. So I would bet it will be the same with RDR2. Though I never tired using the both simultaneously. Just one at a time.
