  2. Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC exited unexpectedly Created November 5, 2019Updated November 5, 2019 FollowPrint Question: What can I do if Red Dead Redemption 2 crashes on launch with the error "Red Dead Redemption 2 Exited Unexpectedly"? Answer: The most common cause of this error is out of date graphics drivers. Update your graphics drivers NVIDIA owners should update their graphics driver version to 441.12 or above in the GeForce Experience app, or manually using this link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx AMD owners should update their graphics driver version to 19.11.1 or above in the Radeon Software app, or manually using this link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download Run RDR2.exe as an administrator Open the Rockstar Games Launcher Select Settings Select Red Dead Redemption 2 under My installed games Select Open under View Installation Folder Right-Click on RDR2 Select Properties Under the Compatibility Tab Select Run this Program as an Administrator and Disable Full Screen Optimization Click OK Return to the Games Menu in the Rockstar Games Launcher Launch the game

  3. Anyone interested in what these new horses will offer in terms of gameplay? I am hoping one of them works better than the others for hunting. I still have not found a horse that works well hunting all types of animals. My horses always been buggy with that.

  4. ok. that's it. i was mainly confused because i didn't even expected to be limited on areas while on a mission. but it's solved. thanks a lot that's the problem of starting this expecting it to be just GTA on horses 🙂

  5. Hi @NeKryXe and welcome to the forums. I would suggest watching one of the many tutorials from YT, articles, etc. In fact, I found one with a quick search that might help. Fast forward to the 29:30 mark. That is where he opens the treasure chest, gets the countdown timer and then realizes he must equip the ability card. The beginning of RDO is more of a tutorial. It is an open world game that provides you with essentially complete freedom once you get past the hand-holding parts: If this resolves your issue then please let me know. I will move this from the PC forum to the RDO forum which would be more appropriate for progression / mode questions & answers. It's been a year for me since I started out so I don;t have your answer myself. I have to rely on these tutorials and past posts / threads for answers.

  7. Yes, I'm pretty levelled up, decent horse, decent firepower with decent ammunition, but still seem to come off second best most times if I try to defend myself against another human player. Am thinking I need to look into the dark art of these passive cards or whatever they are called as I need some sort of leveller. I rarely even use deadeye (not that I'd have time to use it against humans!). I was supping a Baileys and ice while gaming last night. Clearly need to reach for something stronger to unlock my full anti-griefing potential!

  8. Don't let some people on here hear you speak of the Breton in that way!! It's a decent horse but overhyped imo. I'm levelling up a Criollo at the moment, seems decent enough. Every horse seems to have a tendency to annoy after a while so now I have money I keep them all saddled and switch between them fairly regularly.

  9. Can I just say that this is ONE NICE CONTROLLER ... bought it for my laptop to play RDR2 later today when it releases and I have to say after doing some tests with it .. I might actually use this for my PS4 as well. Really comfortable and they really spared no expense on the packaging. Comes with an excellent protective case. I may have to buy another one ... LOL

  10. Same here. I know reguardless of stats, I always go with what feels best to how I play the game. I have always done this with cars, guns, horses, and so on.

  11. That is what I am waiting on. I gotta do a few upgrades. The game will run fine with what I have now but I want it to run smoother and my PC to be able to handle more games coming out later this year as well as next year. I have to make sure it can handle Doom Eternal.

  12. I bit the bullet and purchased the game. I was going to wait for the Steam release but I wanted the free stuff. Pre-installing it right now. Hopefully it gets done before the game officially releases.

  14. I still don’t find it more of a problem than the occasional annoyance... yesterday I was riding back from a hunting trip with a cougar and stack of pelts for Cripps... I saw a couple guys in a two man posse. I changed course to finish the ride to camp cross country pushing Red Liquor as hard as he could run. They chased, started getting close... I was lassoed off my horse but escaped quickly, they were on either side of me. With lightning reflexes I drew my LeMatts and put a shotgun round into each of them. I was able to remount and ride the rest of the way to camp before they caught up again... It actually made the last leg of the journey a bit more interesting if you ask me... Normally I’m not bothered by others.

  16. This is what I am thinking. You'll have the option to buy in game and it will just have a pop-up window to make the purchase. Pretty standard with a lot of PC games. They aren't likely to go live with it until the game is officially launched though if they do have a web address to buy stuff.

  17. Is the one pictured there the Buttermilk variation? I don't ever remember seeing it. Looks really nice though. I like the speckled look.

  18. I'll be trying them all out if I can. I am picky when it comes to horses. I felt the ones in the game were good, some were bad but for the most part they got the job done but I never really loved any of them. Usually I find something like this in a game that I just stick with but this was not the case in RDR2.

  19. I am assuming they will have an option to buy stuff on the launcher after the game is released. Like on Steam, games will have the option to "Buy" whatever and it takes you to the launcher to complete the purchase.

  20. First off yes it is worth it. Your posse can use it. I love it, one of the best things I ever bought in game, saves me tons of time. I enjoy being out doing multiple things, realize I have a full load so Ill drop in camp from any fast travel post, drop off everything, energize my guy, then hit the post to go right back to where I left off, plus many other examples of ways I use it. Money is really flowing in this game once you get the collector role, even the trader, so my advice is yes, buy it as soon as you can.

  22. Only thing I could add to this conversation is I also don't believe that level has correlation with the animal spawns, but it's some is kind of Nerf/throttle on progress. As others stated it seems to be the server you are on. Doing a bounty and stuff does change the server (and seems my camp respawns Every 2nd bounty, except it's rarely ever where It's supposed to be but clear on the other side of the map) and puts you on a less crowded server with better spawns. On the individual level... When you are doing anything that has a timer (bounty, resupply, delivery), yep you get thrown on empty server and the animals seem to spawn at a much higher rate to distract you. I also find if I'm lingering on a server for long periods of time and have racked in the big $'s the animals disappear, Gun's get dirty quicker, rains much more and the fog is so thick you can't see. Especially right before they flash a free room invitation. Also sometimes I get charged with some random meaningless crime till I change servers. Then yesterday bounty took me from blackwater, to strawberry, through big valley, past Madam Nazar, to valentine. Darn thing took like half hour, and timer didn't go off till closed in on the dude, but I just stockpiling along the way and unloaded dupes at madam Nazar. IDK. Can't prove it but still think it's intentional on their part to get you to do other things or slow money making

  23. i login in a server with 22 people. no animals and cripps is moving. i login in a server with 22 people. full of animals and cripps is stable. i login in a server with 18 people. no animals and cripps is moving. i login in a server with 18 people. full of animals and cripps is stable. It's a matter of server for me and a matter of "please R* fix your game".
