RDR2 Online: Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]
YodaMan 3D replied to M_Ono7's topic in Red Dead Online
It is the beta, we don't know what exactly Rockstar wants. My guess is they want another GTAO, where players totally forget about the story and just want to create chaos and spend real money to do so. To me if they should treat this game the same way they did RDR and not GTA5. Players will still spend money and you can let the trolls play with trolls. -
So you find no immersion without the sex? I'm sure adding sex, would add a few extra copies sold. Then again maybe it could cost the a few copies. To say it has to have it is non-sense for a player to become immersion into the game. Now if you knew your history, sex back then came from one of 3 forms, marriage, prostitution, and rape. Now seeing how the game doesn't mention marriage. One of those is already out of the picture. Prostitution could be used, Rockstar has used that for a long time, but not required for immersion. Then you have rape, well that is subject I really don't think you want players getting immersed into. My perspective is if it really adds to the game, fine. If not, there isn't any loss.

RDR2 Online: Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]

Maybe that works for some, but I fall in the catagory where I stop playing this and go play something else. I spend money for me to have fun. PvP or Trolling what ever you want to call it, is becoming less fun, cause most players don't care to be the best, they just want to bully others. -
Outlaws vs. Lawmen 32 Players Online Mode Suggestion
YodaMan 3D replied to blackkswann's topic in Red Dead Online
28 vs 4? A well organized group of 28 and 4 lawmen will be respawning 24 seven. Doesn't sound fun to me. -
Don't know if this helps, but I sold the harmonica that Sadie wanted. Eventually went back to where I found it, looted the whole place and when I went back to camp. When I met up with Sadie, I had the harmonica.

RDR2 Online: Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]

Apparently, I'm not making myself clear. Some Troll sees me, does what he has to do to light me up on the map and then all of his troll buddies come to hunt me down. Not a fan of that style of game play, but ANY Game manufacturer who feels that is more important player then I who doesn't want that. Well I will stop buying their games. IMHO this isn't a fix. Give us Co-op servers like the original and then I will be happy. Edit: Adding a UFO will do nothing but speed up the time it takes to get to those who want to be left alone and probably given them stupid fire power like many of the GTA Online vehicles did. It is nothing but a troll weapon and no need for it. -
RDR2 Online: Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]
YodaMan 3D replied to M_Ono7's topic in Red Dead Online
Two things, unless I find a group of awesome players that make it worth getting online for or they give us a co-op only server. My time online could become limited, cause I have no interest in buying online cards just to keep up with players that troll 24 Seven. -
RDR2 Online: Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]
YodaMan 3D replied to M_Ono7's topic in Red Dead Online
Yeah a troll-a-thon by showning all players. All we need now is flying vehicles with rocket launchers and the true trolling can begin. Anything we can do to avoid showing up everywhere, would be a major improvement. So though I don't like the idea of another player can spot me, then flashes me on screen for everyone. Not a fan of already being shown to the whole map either. -
Be fearfull of cinematic mode..................
YodaMan 3D replied to YodaMan 3D's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Not true by my experience. If you try to do it manually. You would be correct, nothing you do will get that horse to go over. In cinematic, that horse knows no fear and over the side you go, all the way to the crash site. -
4 endings. From what I have read, you can affect 3 upto the end. One depends on how you play the whole game.
-
I really started using cinematic mode to travel, Works great as long as you start on a road. If you start off road, well. You will off road and if your horse climbs a hill or mountain, he will keep going straight over the edge. By the way, has anyone rode over a mountain and just jumped over the side. Not working as intended is all I got to say.
-
No I don't think you can.

So I always use dead eye while hunting, I always take just one headshot, I always take in consideration the size of my prey before shooting. Yet, except for Legendary prey, I never get perfect hides. It really taking the fun out of hunting if the the only way is to shoot 1 million critters, especially after capturing the Legendary beast on the 1st try with the same techniques. So any suggestions for the perfect hides?

So I am riding along minding my own business and come across a shay deal being done off the side road. No one else around. So I step up to the plate, put my mask on, and at my arrival the deal goes south quick. Long story short, lots of bad people dead, no one lived but me. I loot steal the wagon, poor horses no longer have owners, so I take them to a place to find them a new home. Riding along a minute or so down the road and take off the mask, immediately get a bounty for $450+. No saw me, COME ON! That happened twice. So on the last attempt, I leave the mask on all the way to the Fence. Boom no Bounty. So my question is why exactly does a man riding around without a mask, "Yep, I bet that 's the guy whol killed all those men and stole their wagon" TWICE vs "Hey look there is a guy riding in a wagon filled dynamite with a mask on, being followed by a Arabian horse with blood all over his nice clothes carrying a bloody stone ax, pulling into Emerald Ranch at the Fence there. I doubt he's a bad guy that deserves a bounty." To be clear, I "dead eyed" the bad guys no sign of blood on me the 1st two times. Last time I went total Jason Vorhees with the stone ax. No witnesses anytime of the 3 tries. Can anyone explain this to me?

Having fun isn't the question? Just curious why players rush through a game?
-
Last night talking with another player and he asked if I beat the game yet. I said no, I am trying to do as much as I can in one experience. He then tells me that he beat it in under 48 hours. He then wants to brag about how he finished it before me. I personally don't care I am enjoying the game. So other then being rude. Why is it players feel a need to rush through the game? By the way, he did no side missions, hunting, fishing, or anything else that was not part of a mission.

Last I have read, a total of 4.
-
What happened to your wall of bodies?
-
I don't think the 2 people I met was part of any gang. I road up onto their camp and they drew on me. I shot back. No one seemed to care. The whole wanted/bounty thing just seems a little off. Glitch or not.
-
I have been riding and have reached points where I hear voices and there be no one around. I have also seen red dots of predators appear on my map and there be nothing there to shoot.
-
Haven't really seen any outfit that I would find appealling. Usually I pick a outfit then modify it so it looks cooler.
-
This weekend, I encountered a couple of guys by the road, that drew on me and I shot back while witnesses was riding by. I then got down and looted them as people continued to ride on by. No mask and no bounty. Took their extra horse and sold it. No bounty. Then again I have ridden into town without a bounty and poof! have a bounty of $400+ and have done nothing to earn it. The red flags have been strange for bounties for me. @Kean_1 @rick249kdr To some extinct maybe but not always from my experience. I am very cautious in my actions and yet get excessive bounties. Just because it isn't your experience doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I don't think the game is broken, I do think there are triggers in the game, that we haven't figured out or even Rockstar doesn't realize is in the game that affects certain players different. I also hope this system is similar to what we see online, for those who do want to go nuts, will see heavy punishments, requiring players to be more careful in their actions.
-
I have seen others doing these chores, yet it doesn't show on my map, nor does it allow me to do them while others are already doing them. I am the erron boy for all items. I am getting tired of then neediness of those in camp. Fully modified camp and still get, "Hey Arthur could you fetch me ..................." "some root for the horses" or "a harmonica" or "some herbs for cooking".

My experiences with Beta Testing, is usually you get some vanity item to show that you participated and you restart from the beginning upon release. Will Rockstar do this, will depend on how much they may have to change from Beta to actual online. For example, Ubisoft/Massive had Alpha Testing, Closed Beta, Open Beta, Final Beta (TD1) and are finally releasing the actual game as The Division 2. It has taken them over 3 years to release the actual game, cause The Division was actually nothing more then Beta Testing. I don't expect that from Rockstar.
