Ahh I don’t think they would disregard her facial features like that by accident. Rockstar don’t usually do things by accident.

Usually not, but I have seen in games where there will be a cameo appearance from a previous game and you will see differences.   Besides it may just have been a mistake in creation for this game.    Someone may have dropped the ball trying to make her prettier and didn't think the fans would notice those details.

  2. 1.  The release date is still on.

    2.  There is another delay.

    3.  RDR2 is so much fun that the Devs quit decided not to release it and keep it just for themselves.

    4.  That on Oct. 26, is the release date for the Remastered Edition of RDR.

    5.  At Rockstar, they put RDR2 up to keep it safe and no one remembers where that safe place is.

Considering with every Rockstar game I have ever bought, I have always seen the hype train running a little bit.  This being the game of the year that everyone seems to be talking about.  I would think they would be saying something.

    Because "bewbs".

Honestly, though, it doesn't matter to most of us whether it's in here or not unless there's an underlying gameplay mechanic.  The fact of the matter is, if you're looking for an immersive experience that is replicates real life, people DO fornicate, and more often than not, they are not wearing much when engaged in such activity.

As far as mentioning "pixelated boobs", the phrase is so ridiculous that I had to work it into an equally ridiculous conversation.  I am a filthy pervert, and you should never take anything I say at face value if I'm throwing around preposterous comparisons and metaphors.  For those of us old enough to remember the days of set top cable boxes before the digital age, "pixelated boob" or "scrambled porn" pre-internet was about as good as it got apart from dirty magazines.  Back in my day, you had to work for your porn, it wasn't ubiquitous like it is now, where I cant go more than three links deep in the Internet without coming across some truly weird "adult content" (no need to label what I'm talking about, but we all know).  Hell, I bet you could get from Sesamie Street to ungated "adult" content in five clicks, just using page links.

My point in all of this is, nudity and sex have been a part of life for as long as humanity has been "a thing".  So has violence, and I find it hilarious that (as I said before) people are abhorred at the concept of "nudity" in a game but are fine with shooting people in the face.

There has been people who have issues with the violence.  Feel free to ask Rockstar, they have been targeted by many angry parents.  Of course same parents who bought their under age children a rated M for mature video game .  Now who do you think those angry parents are going to be angry at when they walk in a little Jonny playing and learning how the world works while he is also learning about his body.

Like I said I don't think anyone here will have a problem with it, but the parents of little Jonny might and I am sure they won't take the responsibility when they find out about the game.

A few Christmases ago at Best Buy, a couple of mom's in front of me in the line discussing GTA5 and how a 10 year old boy was going to be so happy to get it.  This was a year or two after release.  I gave them the highlights of each character, especially when Trevor got to town.  The game got put back, at least till the other decided her husband might like to play it.

I have to love how relationships and sex are taboo in a game with indiscriminate violence and killing.  You can shoot someone in the face and watch geysers of blood wash all over the place, but show a pixelated boob, and everyone clutches their pearls.

It's not that we can't handle it, well maybe some can't.  It is more like an old porno, it could be watched from beginning to end, but far too many people will be playing the same 20 seconds over and over and over till they have wore the game out.    Most would never actually see the big finally at the end.

  5. With some people you can give them the right answers to every problem and they won't be able to see it or learn from it.   Sometimes seeing the problem in yourself or in someone else allows them to deal with it 1st hand and then they have seen and/or learned from it.

Maybe at some point he realized that Dutch or the other gang members were going down the wrong path, maybe getting shot and left by the gang  / his family at that time,  maybe coming close to death and realizing how much Abigail and his kids really meant, or a combination of all of them made him realize that where he was in life wasn't where he wanted to be.  So he changed.

I know people from my youth that was juvenile delinquents and figured that they would spend most of there lives either in prison or dead.   One became a cop and one the became a minister.  They both turn their lives around, each for his own reasons, but they went from always making wrong choices to making right choices and helping others.

In conversation with the cop, he told me it could have went either way.  He met his wife and at the time she lived in a bad neighborhood.  He wanted to protect her, so he became a cop and changed his life.  The minister stated he went down some dark roads of life and realized that all his friends at the time were in prison or dead from some kind of overdose.  Decided that wasn't who he was and went seeking help and now he helps others.

A matter of perspective I suppose but for the sake of argument, let's call GTA:O a P2W.  One would still have to see that there is a clear difference between P2W models where one must pay for those items that provide an advantage vs. models like GTA:O where everyone still has access regardless.  If anything I'd call GTA:O a "P2S" (pay to shortcut).

I never liked GTA:O public servers and always prefer to play on solo, "friends only" or on a public server alone.  As for the latter, that is achievable through a well known trick with the connection settings on my PS4 that would (in a way)  force the game to place you in a session by yourself.

Regardless, all biker missions are still possible to play on an invite-only session so you and your friends don't have to worry about griefers spoiling your fun.  I believe it's any missions / businesses where you don't have to register as a VP or CEO.  All the jobs are also possible to play with just friends provided you have enough people to fill the roster.   ....I think most jobs require 4 players. Even then, you can still join a public server and just start or join jobs without wandering the gameworld getting griefed by others.  You would still be joining randoms provided you don't have enough friends to fill all of the required slots in a crew.

As for VP / CEO missions, I would start a session using the trick I mentioned and then have friends join me (or play alone).  Every now and again a random might join the session but nine times out of ten they would either leave or they would do their own thing like I was.

There are lots of tutorials on YouTube showing players how to make quick cash.  I have several businesses myself in GTA:O, I'm over level 200, I have a fleet of aircraft , cars ,etc. but I still rarely ever played in a session with randoms.

Having said all of that, I don't like the environment of public session in GTAV:O as "griefing" is clearly tolerated and even encouraged by design.  I do hope RDR2:O is different in this respect although as far as the "pay" model, I'm ok with something similar to GTAV where I can still make in-game money for the same items.

Well, we can it whatever you like or call it whatever you like.  As long as one player can buy something that gives them an advantage, is a pay to win.  Whether or not a player can still earn becomes a different matter if you can't earn it cause the guy who bought the advantage is griefing you and keeping you from gaining the same thing.

Unless you are in private server, I have been helping another player in a MC Mission and had players nuke us with the fighter.

The botched robbery occurred in 1906 so he was out of the gang for 5 years.

They might of assumed he was dead at first but after hearing no reports of his death or capture they probably knew he'd survived but I doubt they knew where he had decided to settle down unless they were told by Abigail, Jack or Uncle.

After you capture or kill Javier, Edgar Ross and Archer Fordham tell you to make your way to West Elizabeth because they've received reports that Dutch van der Linde is in the area and some of their dialogue later on implies that Dutch has been recruiting and has only recently been spotted in the area.

John states that he was left to die by his fellow gang members after being shot but he never mentions being captured, Edgar Ross and Archer Fordham track John down by unknown means prior to the beginning of Red Dead Redemption and threaten to kill his family if he doesn't hunt down his former brothers in arms.

The train went past MacFarlane's Ranch but didn't stop there, after John got off the train it head South West so maybe Bonnie was meeting Amos in the South West region of New Austin to drive supplies back to MacFarlane's Ranch.

Bonnie states that the Doctor in Armadillo is the one that saved his life so they obviously took John there first, when John first gains consciousness she tells him that the bullet was taken out a few days ago so maybe they took John back to MacFarlane's Ranch because they knew he was probably gonna be unconscious for a couple days and would need a safe place to rest.

Although Bonnie appears to sceptical and wary of John, his actions and how he came to be shot in the first place I believe after spending some time with John she eventually came to have a fair amount of admiration for him. I also believe that after John opens up to Bonnie about his family, troubled past and his current predicament she feels genuinely sorry for him and probably didn't see the $15 or the horse as a major loss, especially after John had saved Drew, saved her and saved several horses from the barn fire.

True, being a 21 year old male I can't comprehend the restraint John must have. I guess that could be considered a plot hole of sorts although I wouldn't share that opinion with your wife Yoda, she might not let you leave the house.

Thanks for the answers.  I knew most of them already.  Now during the train ride at one point Bonnie gets up and walks past John.  I assumed she got off the train at that point, at her ranch.

I like this kind of concept for some games but not all games. I don't think it would work for RDR2. Not that it couldn't be implemented but it isn't Rockstar's style to focus on relationships between characters unless it is strictly storyline related I know in GTA 4, you were able to go out on a date and depending on how it went, go on more and all that. Is that the kind of thing you are referring to?

Once again, it really did cut into the game play for me.  Trying run missions and still make time for the extra stuff.

We all know GTA is pretty famous for the "ladies for hire."

Then again, so is the Old West.

Mind you, this is not me saying, "THERE SHOULD BE HOOKERS IN THIS GAME!" I'm totally not.

What I WOULD like to see, however, is the ability to nurture and invest in character relationships. It'd be great to be in town, notice a few different ladies have taken an interest in your character, and then you get to choose which (if any) you wanted to pursue. Hell, maybe even have the option to marry them.

Of course, with Marston, your only real choice would be Abigail, 'cause . . . reasons.

That, I think, would help quite a bit with immersion. If you are able to utilize your character to pursue relationships that interest YOU, that would make the experience all the better.

At least in MY big, fat, hairy, stinky opinion, anyway . . .

    Thoughts . . . ?

They kind of did that with Skyrim, and then by the point my character chose a wife and got kids.  I was so busy running missions that it was a huge pain to deal with the family and run missions.  I was never home.

  10. This weekend I started playing RDR, hoping to get psyched for RDR2.  As I was playing somethings came to mind.

How long was John out of the Gang?

Did the others know he was alive?   Cause wouldn't the gang just come to Beechers Hope and try to recruit John back or use it as a hideout.

How did they not cross paths before John started hunting them?  John hunts in Tall Trees area all the time, at least when I played him he did.

Maybe I just didn't remember the story well, but I thought John got caught after being shot after the botched robbery where he got shot.  Was that correct?

So Bonnie saw John on the Train, assuming she got off at the stop at her ranch, what was Bonnie and Amos doing by the Fort when they found John?    Not much that I could see a rancher and her ranch hand would need out there and it would have been way out of her way to just be driving by.

Why take him back to their ranch?  Wouldn't have been better just to drop him off at Armadillo on their way home.

Back then $15 dollars was quite a bit of money.  How exactly did John do to pay them back?  John rides round the ranch, kills a few rabbits and coyotes.  John helps them herd cattle a few times.  John then helps them capture some wild horses, (supposedly, I mean you look that there is a ranch nearby one time and Armadillo the next), just saying they may not have be wild.  Then Bonnie gives the keeper to John afterwards, ( which back then a good horse was worth killing over back then.)  Saves Drew from the barn fire and Bonnie after she was kidnapped.   I appreciate and respect that John has so much love and loyalty to his family, but most people would have figured Bonnie is here, I can tap that and the wife would never know.

I think some of us have a different definition of what is "pay to win".  For instance, I don't consider GTAV:O a P2W model.  The reason is due to the fact that players are simply buying in-game currency with real money.   ......currency that all other players can still obtain themselves (without paying extra) through activities in the game.

On the other hand, many free to play games are prime examples of a P2W model where players literally can't obtain the same, better weapons, vehicles, etc. that paying customers can.

That's not to say that I don't agree that Shark Card purchasers don't have an advantage over others, but what separates GTAV:O from the P2W model IMO is that the player can still make cash in their game and still buy the same things Shark Card players can.

In a nutshell, if items that provide an advantage in a game are offered exclusively to players willing to pay for them, I would call that a classic  "pay to win" scenario.   At best, I would consider GTAV:Os model a shortcut.  In either case, I don't think RDR2 will be as "bad" as GTAV:O for various reasons.

To me if you can buy something and it can be used to give you a heads up over other players, it is pay to win.  GTA:O follows that to me.   I did take a break from GTA:O and when I returned I knew players that was using Shark Cards to buy those jets I hate so much so that they could just fly over and blow others up.  I also understand that not all players took the easy route and they earned it the hard way.  Yet upon my return that seemed to be the way it was and for me being almost new to the game had a very difficult time earning money.  So much that I didn't want to play the online game.  I stuck it out and met a few players that was willing to help me out and when my son wanted to play, it became harder to help him, cause the game had more and more players that low levels using these same high level weapons and gear.    To me that isn't competitive or fun for those who become the victim, while the others have a blasts knowing they can't die nor is there anything that can be done about it by the people they are harassing.

  12. 13 hours ago, GatoNegro said:

Yeah and I get this but I think what worried a lot of people was that the game was going to become some kind of P2W garbage like you commonly find on PC (Steam). Like if someone paying has an unfair advantage to someone who isn't or can't, then I would have an issue with that.

They did P2W with GTAO, where players could buy those fighter jets and fly over and bomb other players or buy the tanks and blow players up that way.

Rockstar have added so many features and vehicles to GTA Online, a lot of which can only be described as a griefers' wet dream and because of this GTA Online can be really demotivating for anyone who's just trying to make money.

What platform do you play on?

    Xbox 1

  14. I would like the online options to be the same as RDR, where I can just PvE or PvEvP.   My son and I tried once to play GTAO, he had asked for a booster pack where he got the CEO, Hanger, and MC Club.  1st mission we did, I invited some friends was doing well in the mission and another player showed up with a tank during our mission and we failed.  The other two just laughed it off and made comments like funny that was.  My son didn't play for about a month.  Just saw he had logged on about around the 1st of the month.  Sorry not a fan of griefing and not a fan when it happens to my kid.  Hoping this weekend he will want to try again and we find a few good players that will want to roll with us.  He has been sticking to the MC Club and doing the easier missions there.

That doesn't sound half bad but Archbell is my actual name so I'd feel lazy using it.

Most gangs back in the day used the name of the leader.  It may be lazy to you, but it was a sign that people that follow you, wanted to be like you.  So lazy or respect depends on your point of view, but great leader leads by example.  Good Luck!

  16. My family pre-ordered it for me and I still don't know.  *wink wink and it is driving my son insane, has even got on my xbox and clicked on it so it gives that warning about how I have to wait, that I tried to access too early.  Oops!  I accidently shut the xbox off by mistake and missed the whole thing.   I must admit it has been a lot of fun between him and I building upto the release of the game.

  17. I have to say like the others, if it really doesn't advance the story, well it doesn't need to be in there.  I for one usually skip those scenes, never know when my son may be watching or even walk in the room.  It would require "The Talk" and really don't want to have it started by something he sees in a video game with corrupt morals.   But hey, that's just me.

I'm sure their will be horse killings online I'm not a big fan of it but it's part of game. I hope the atmosphere online won't be the one on gta5 online hopefully we can all respect each other and go about our online experiences without the spiteful little kids ruining our day.

You must not be playing too many games online, cause that seems to be all that games are now.  How do I mess with your game generation.  Players seem to have more fun trying to ruin your fun, they actually try to have fun on their own.

  19. Down playing it just maybe part of the old prepare for the worst and hope for the best thought process.  GTA5 turned out to be a gold mine, if they expect the same of RDR2 and it isn't then it turns out to be a let down.  If they set the bar low and he proves to be another gold mine, then no one ever gets upset.
