i'll give you the new book one. shoes i can't go with lol. I've always loved the smell of books too, i loved going into the library basement storage as a kid where all the old old books nobody wanted to read anymore were kept. there were books down there published in the 1800's. Those are now in a museum (the local ones anyway) others were sold in an auction to help fund the remodel for the library a couple decades ago. The smell in the basement is still the same though, old musty paper.
Speaking of smells i like that most people i know don't - I love the smell of burnt gunpowder. A long day on the firing range is awesome, wish i could bottle that smell and wear it. Another one similar is the smell of black powder, not the smokeless stuff everyone likes now, but the other stuff that would create the huge cloud of smoke. you shoot the gun, wait for the smoke to clear and see where you hit on the target, or if the animal was down or gone.
And then there's the smell of Hoppe's 9 gun cleaning solvent, that could be cologne also

news? you mean false stories like Dwayne Johnson being arrested, when it was a picture from one of his movies? lol facebook is the worst, i hate it worse than twitter. at least i can ignore twitter totally (other than the stupid twits on the tv shows). Speaking of stupid twits i was watching one of the ghost hunter type shows with my son this weekend, a rerun from a while back, one of the guys in the show said something about feeling a cold spot, so a twit posts Oh my room just got cold, i'm feeling it too! lmao
Facebook i can't get away from, as much as i try. My mom's an addict, sending me stuff about my cousins and blah blah, but she has to text it or email, cause i closed my facebook account years ago. It's nothing but garbage. Removing the fake news didn't help, last i looked when mom showed me something on facebook, it was still full of garbage and sh*t-tons of adds. Think i drew the line and closed my facebook when the hiker in Yellowstone park a few years back got killed by a bear, and there was a huge movement on facebook cause they had to put down the bear. Idiot people would rather have a maneater roaming the park than save human lives. Never did catch on to the facebook fad. I opened an account because my son did when he was of age to do so, so i could monitor him. but then i found out i didn't need to. i'd get calls or texts from my family telling me everything he was posting and saying.

seems like i got ambushed quite a bit by them until i hit the red hat in honor. then i guess they're scared of you? i didn't get hardly any ambushes, other than the main ones like riding into Roanoke for the first time with the murphree brood.

Spoilerin Hanging Dog Ranch, where the Laramie bunch is at in the epilogue. Arthur and Sadie wiped out the O'Drisculls in Chapter 6.

Yeah i had a hell of a time finding berries for the challenges. It's like they were on a round robin spawner for their locations.

I think it can only be downloaded though (digital copy). Also, I would make sure to watch a couple videos or read some reviews. ......and make sure there is no requirement to be online while playing. I don't believe there is but I don't want to see you buy it and find out I was wrong.
I had fun with Ark as well but not as much as I did with the Forest. Everyone is different though.
I had a blast with Ark until i found out you had to either use cheats to kill the bosses to ascend or play online with a group. That killed it for me. I had my level maxed out, a whole herd of dino's, all predator dinos like the t-rex, allo, bary, carno, the bird lookin one with huge claws, and a few more, like 20 some combined i think it was, maybe more, and we lasted like 3 minutes if that against the broodmother. Was not a pretty site unless you were cheering for her lol.
My son said they've released more dino's and stuff since i played it last, gotta be almost a year ago, so i'll have to go check it out and see. I'll look into this Forest game also. I really dig the survival games.

was thinking this weekend i'd go back and restore my save to fix the glitched legendary fish. Found i missed a couple stranger missions in the 2nd epilogue i wanna check out, so now i'll just have to finish that damned timed run ad a few other things to hit 100%,

if you're talking gold currants they spawn quickly near the broken down fort west of Van Horn. that was my go to area when i needed them for crafting for hte herbalist challenge. pick them, go to west elizabeth, hunt for a couple days in game, go back and pick them all. took me like 5 trips to get all that was needed for the crafting, 30 herbs i think it was or close to that.

parts do wear out. i have to replace my xbox controllers about once a year or 18 months as the bumper buttons (R1/L1) are cheaply made, or i'm just rough on them
i did go and buy one of their custom controllers you design and can have engraved, so far it's lasted almost 2 years (and i probably just jinxed it).

They'll make a lot more money with the online content releases and the micro-transactions than a $29.99 DLC or whatever they charge for it. At this point it's all about the money.

Sounds like a personal problem, or rather your machine is having the problem. Never once had the freeze/shutdown issue on my xbox.
cheats haven't been able to be saved for a long long time in Rockstar games, nothing new there.
Why restart? save often, then go back to the save point. Clearing your cache would probably help a lot.

Yes the box would pop-up if I caught them out of order but unless I caught them in the order they recommended the check boxes would not progress...
Weird, that's how i kept track of what fish(es) i needed to catch still.

doubt we'll ever see a DLC, their totally focused on the Online aspect now. Any knew content will most likely be released there.

I loved Fallout 3 and 4, was very disappointing to find i had to quit the series.

you don't have to catch them in order. If you're on the survivalist 10 challenge and you catch one in the list you get a little popup window saying you caught ______ fish. If you tap left on the D-pad, then RB/R1 to see your challenges you can see the survivalist 10 list of fish and which ones you have caught, it lists all 15 species there.

Like @bluntTR4P said it depends on the horse, standard breeds yeah you can do in an hour-ish. Elite horses take much much longer. constantly feeding/patting is a waste of time and thumb energy, there's a timer on when you can do it again to get more bonding points after the previous time.

clear your game cache, might have to go back to a previous save and catch them all 3 times after that.

9 is the 19 lb fish.
Legendary count but i didn't do them for this one, i had them all except the 3 in New Austin. You can catch all 15 fish for Survivalist 10 around Flat Iron Lake, and in the swamps. Just change the bait and the time you fish to match the fish's preferences.

There's 15 legendary fish and 30 total species of fish (counting the legendary). If you tap left on the D-pad and look at the survivalist challenge it should have all 30 fish listed and checked off to show what one you're missing. Here's the full list of fish in the game -

Numerous websites online with the fishing locations for all the legendary fish. Powerpyx is one i like to use.
So it's a bit confusing, 2 legendary fish are caught only in missions, the Legendary Northern Pike and the Channel Cat, but it looks like you can catch the Channel Cat after the fishing mission is over with Jeremy, or so i've read on a few sites. One of my legendary fish glitched, so i can't do this to confirm.
The Northern Pike you can only catch in the Stranger missions from the Veteran in chapter 6. At least that's what i've been reading and that was when i caught him. So if someone has caught the Legendary Northern Pike after that mission series is over, please correct me
