I only have the willpower to try this another two times, I tried four times this morning, I keep getting guys on the road who stop me dead or I get a half inch hill that flips me over, hit a puddle once. I got and tried this as Arthur....anybody else yell at their tv for that?
every time i tried it. I still haven't completed it and quit playing the game. Not because of this challenge, but i see no point in trying to complete it as it's one of the last things i need for 100% complete, when i hit a legendary fish glitch and can't even get 100%.

Oh thats interesting, although Ive cleared that ranch several times with varying levels of success ive never noticed a bee hive.
probably my memory then
I used to clear that ranch every time i went hunting up north for loot and cash. got be to almost too easy, take out the watchman on the tower, sneak down to the brush near the gate south of the tower, shoot the walker there, then the guy in the stables, etc. etc. could clear it and dump all the bodies on the camp fire to clean up the area in under 10 minutes.

As far as I know they have no value to us in game, you can not harvest them or sell them after or anything like that, if you shoot them they will break apart.
I didnt mess with this one, if you walk up to it, the bee's will swarm you but you dont seem to lose health or stamina.
I have only seen one myself in three play through's I id see a video of another one over by The Elysiam pool.
Although they have no value and serve no purpose, they are seemingly pretty rare to encounter.
I coulda sworn there was one in Hanging Dog Ranch you could use to distract the O'Drisculls, maybe my mind is playing tricks on me though?

I did recently find something else, a chest under a crate that highlighted but I wasn't able to get to it, similar to the one in the Van Horn welcome center / post office
i had that happen at one of the random camps, dynamite fixed that, no more crate.

just to clarify
You can get the errand boy trophy in the epilogue, but only if you need 1 item to complete it. Uncle will ask you for medicinal cream you can craft at a camp. If you need more than 1 item when you get to the epilogue, you're screwed.
Doesn't look like you need to do these for 100% game completion. But for 100% trophies you need to complete 5 camp requests.

I'll give you that it's my fault that I'm leaving my horse I get much more frustrated at the fact that I never have my weapons because every time I get off my horse it auto empties my wheel which is why I try to stay off my horse so that I can keep my two favorite weapons
that's easily fixed by choosing your weapons before jumping off the horse. it only empties the wheel after a camp or death that i can recall off hand, might be other triggers for that.

Pointless, the carcasses would rot and you'd be left with a wagon of putrid flesh.
There is no "real open world" game, all games have restrictions and limits to what you can do, so does life. So yeah i guess you could say this is a "real" game.

Hiding is good advice. I was able to fight reasonably well in the story, its just AFTER the story ends and you play as John.. Peoplr shoot, you hide, then a gang comes from outside into the cave. You turn to fight them 10 guys and get bumrushed by the original gang. My only question is this: In the game AFTER the whole story ends, playing as John, some encounters never allow you to skip no matter how many times I fail, just keeps putting you back in your original starting point. so I never get the opportunity to explore the area furthur.. I guess I suck at this. How the hell do you kill 20 guys alone in 30 seconds ??? (boo hoo)
you do what i did, shoot all you can and then when the ones come in from behind... RUN!! take cover in a spot where you can face both from the same direction, then use the cover and shoot them all dead.

So, I was passing by and saw a mugging, I stepped in to stop it, and afterwards, as I was looting the body of the guy who had been robbing this couple, I found in an alley, in the dark, I could hit "inspect Mysterious writing" so I did.
All he wrote in his journal was some scribbling's almost like animal characters.
Here is a short video of John writing it his journal, has anyone else come upon this?
there's a few threads on this here somewhere in the forums, don't think anyone yet has figured out what they're for, or if they're for anything.

You want more Evidence Camp Requests are broken
camp requests are not broken. I agree with @Foxtrot your stories aren't matching up.
You said closing the game and restarting fixed the Pearson request. you need to do that every time you're done playing, otherwise it corrupts the cache and stuff. you should probably clear the cache. If you're on Xbox save your game, then hit the xbox button and scroll down to RDR2 and hit Start button (right one of the start/select buttons) then quit/exit the game. HOld in the power button on the console until it shuts off, then wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on.
For the PS, save the game, turn off the console, power it on, start the game. after the RDR2 splash screen (the opening screen) when it turns black press and hold in R1 and L1 until you get the darkness and screen calibration options.

I highly doubt this will be in the works anytime soon if ever. I can't see them jumping down the VR rabbit hole just yet. I think we will see Bully as mentioned above as well as another GTA before we see another RDR if we even do.
They're just dreaming for a RDR playable game on the PS
*cough*shoulda bought an xbox*cough*
We won't see another GTA in the near future, maybe not ever. Agreed we'll probably see Bully remastered before anything else from Rockstar.

Yeah, I lost my pre-order warhorse over that bridge. It can be really deflating to wake up after dying to see a strange brown nag wearing your saddle.
that horse should be back in the valentine stable for sale at $0.00 you can't lose the DLC horse.

that's what i was thinking too! a corpse washed up on shore or found in the river, minus the bloating.

It was on desk. but game wonr let me pick it up. game says u cant carry any more of that item. Conclusion Camp Requests are broken.
I love this. "It doesn't work for me (but does for the other millions out there playing) so the game is broken"
Your question is answered in your post game says u cant carry any more of that item. that means your inventory is full, go sell all your watches and come back and pick up the one on the table.

@Foxtrot answered that for you above.

Took 4 or 5 hands for him to talk about his item when i played. Is this a chapter dependent one I'm wondering? I did all of them to get the achievement in chapter 2.
6 hours ago, Arac4691 said:Tilly request never triggers. Playing Dominoes does not trigger
I did this one in the evening if i remember right, When i'd go back to camp to turn in the stuff for the upgrades i'd talk to everyone, i think this might be a chapter 2 one also? I don't remember a dominoes table in the other chapters, but i could be wrong as i rarely played at camp played this with her and maybe one other time cause i was bored.

Earlier in the game, I picked up the Civil War knife, and was given the jawbone knife as the reward for the Dino bone collection.
However, neither of these weapons are in my inventory or appear in my compendium.
What the heck happened to these special weapons (and probably others I've forgotten about)? Interestingly, I have the hewing, double headed, and viking axes, but the knives are gone.
not in the knife section of the weapon wheel with R1/L1?

Yeah. I started in van Horne early in the morning. I tried twice and hit the train twice.
Ended up killing my horse. Again.
I gave up on that one, couldn't get 100% anyway with the legendary fish glitched, and that challenge was just pissing me off lol. I'd make it to Lake Owanjila and get jumped by the gang that took over Hanging Dog Ranch, forget their name. or i'd be on the final run past John's house to get to blackwater and a cougar would spawn, so the camera would focus on it for a sec and the horse would run into a boulder beside the road and i'd go flying. Or i'd actually make the full run, on a nice clear sunny day, running beside the road and on the edge of the tracks to avoid puddles, and get no credit.

Yes, stand on the ice toward the south end of the lake, looking toward the northeast shore and use the special lake lure as the bait.
If you stand in the right place and use the right bait, then you almost always get the legendary fish on your first cast (well, that's how it happened for me).
If in doubt, searching on YouTube will show you exactly where to stand.
yep same for me. legendary fishing is pathetically easy. i was hoping for more of a challenge. I usually stand so i can cast at the head of the fish on the map, or as close to that as possible, never failed getting one that way.

Well dang. Was making good time on the Van Horne to Blackwater run and met a train coming the other way over Bard's Crossing.
Which ended well...
that was always my fear, i'd make a heck of a good run and then get stopped there by a train. if you do it in the early morning or evening i haven't seen a train there. during the day they travel that frequently.

Yes, that’s the guide I’m using. I did wait a few in game days for the gator eggs, also tried a save/exit/load and they wouldn’t come back. I had the same thing with golden currants - I camped out for days on end waiting for them to sprout again. They only reappeared in the Epilogue.
Still it’s a good thing there’s more than enough in the game.
You sure it was golden currants? i picked a ton of those at that fallen down fort just west of Van Horn, they're scattered all over that area. i'd pick them all then run over and hunt cougar or whatever in west elizabeth for a day or 2 (in-game time) then go back and pick more to do the crafting part of the herbalist challenge with them.

I wouldn’t worry about that screen.
In the pause menu, go to “Progress” and then “Total completion”
If you have a tick next to “Legendary Fish”, then you’ve completed that achievement strand and you can move onto something else.
i see you beat me to it
i gave him pretty much same answer as your post above in his post on this in the Questions section.

Don’t sell your gator eggs unless you’ve already completed the exotics strand. I found that they don’t respawn very quickly (if at all). Selling gator eggs to quickly really cost me a lot of time and effort.
they do respawn but it's a slow respawn, like 3 or 4 in game days. Gotta give the gators time to get busy and lay more eggs i guess.
I did just that, donated a few eggs to Pearson then sold everything else i found. Then i got the exotics missions. Took a while to get all the eggs, there's a guide for the exotics quests that marks where the eggs and orchids spawn, and it's pretty damn accurate for an online guide. i never would have finished that quest line if it weren't for this guide.

No i finished the quest with john and im sure that i have done also the invite and finished the mission fisher of a fish part 2. but the 15 fish (in the comoendium is the first of the third line) named legendary channel catfish is not signed on the map. In this way the 100% progression for the legendary fish is not compeled and im afraid for the platinum trophy.
I dont kbow how to resolve this.
This 15 legwbdary is impossibile to catch but is important to have identified it for the 100% in the progress.
Found this on a quick google search - eurogamer.net
QuoteThere is also a special hidden fish, but you can only catch this specimen if you complete the following criteria:
- Catch all 13 Legendary Fish
- Complete Chapter Six in the story and reach the Epilogue
Once these two factors have been met, you'll be invited to a trip in Rio Bravo to catch the Channel Catfish.
So there's only 14 legendary fish, not 15.
Here's the list of all 30 fish in the game - from powerpyx.com - put in a spoiler so this thread isn't super long
Spoiler- Bluegill
- Chain Pickerel
- Redfin Pickerel
- Rock Bass
- Smallmouth Bass
- Bullhead Catfish
- Perch
- Lake Sturgeon
- Largemouth Bass
- Steelhead Trout
- Channel Catfish
- Longnose Gar
- Muskie
- Northern Pike
- Sockeye Salmon
- Legendary Bluegill
- Legendary Chain Pickerel
- Legendary Bullhead Catfish
- Legendary Redfin Pickerel
- Legendary Rock Bass
- Legendary Smallmouth Bass
- Legendary Perch
- Legendary Lake Sturgeon
- Legendary Largemouth Bass
- Legendary Steelhead Trout
- Legendary Channel Catfish
- Legendary Longnose Gar
- Legendary Muskie
- Legendary Northern Pike
- Legendary Sockeye Salmon
So if you're missing the 15th fish, that would the regular sockeye salmon. Lot's of places you can catch them at.
- Between Cumberland Falls and the Diablo Ridge area
- Lake Owanjila
- Headwaters of the LIttle Creek River (upstream from Hanging Dog Ranch)
- Lake Isabella and the rivers/creeks feeding it
- Headwaters of the Dakota River (From the Inidan Reservation down to Whinyard Straight)
- O'Creaghs Run
- Elysian Pool

As far as I understand, he's talking about Houser saying there wouldn't be a GTA 6 during the Trump era, or at least that he was very hesitant to release it during the Trump era, as he feels it would be difficult to satirize the rapidly changing, often already parodic, culture while at the same time trying to avoid offending everyone.
right. bad choice of words on my part i guess. there won't be a GTA 6 in the near future. There's a number of 'news sites' out there about it, if you can believe anything in the news anymore. The news all depends on who pays more to have their version heard.
Quote"it's really unclear what [Rockstar] would even do with [GTA6], let alone how upset people would get with whatever we did". His opinion is that GTA6 would find itself under fire from both progressive liberals and intense conservatives as both sides are "very militant, and very angry".
So for at least the next 5 years or so Rockstar's focus will be on the Online games - GTA and RDR2

I feel like a pirate otherwise. Plus, I like to collect merch like this.
I get the collection part, i've done that with other games, but how is it piracy if you legally obtain the music from another service? Rockstar doesn't own the music, the artist does.

First time I stumbled on this, I was expecting some kind of creepy jump scare. I love the detailing and how creepy the area is.
me too! I also drank the brew, and if i recall correctly it knocks you out and you wake up a ways away from the shack. i ran back and all the stuff i had just looted before drinking from cauldron was back, not sure if it whatever took me out away from the shack when i passed out replaced all the items i looted or if they respawned.

Funny stuff that....just happens

made a thread here with a vid in it a awhile back. trying to do the long range shot for one of the challenges, guy i was targeting in the sniper rifle scope ran up my line of sight. Thread title has something about a pegasus, can't think of it off hand. was quite entertaining. I was too surprised to even hit the guy as he was "flying" at me with the next few shots.
