I'm trying to get to Jeremy gills location. Do I have to be on a certain chapter?

I'm only at the beginning of chapter 3.my problem is once I get by tall trees every which way I go I'm getting killed by law men.

It looks to me now I'm doing something eith wrong or to early in the game. I only want the legendary fish map lo. Then know my luck you can't use it online.

If you're going into the Wanted Dead or Alive area around Blackwater and Tall Trees to find Jeremy Gill you're definitely doing something wrong.  He's no where near there.  He's on the edge of Flat Iron Lake, the northern shore.

Haha crazy.  I've solved the problem mostly by not going outside, but it's getting old and rather boring now.

I've been having fun in my jeep splashing the idiots that use their snow blowers to blow their driveway snow in the street.  Blowing it in the street just makes traveling the street there worse.  I doused some guy on my way to work really well this morning lol.  He had his snow blower trying to shoot the slush/snow mix in his driveway into the street and a large puddle of water at his driveway,  I felt bad, almost, when he tried to run from the spray off my wheels and slipped and fell.

Hah, I'm Michigan, I figured someone must be worse off than me, I feel ya!

almost 5 inches of slush to shovel this morning,  that's worse than snow, i can throw a shovel full of snow across my yard repeatedly.  This slush i can barely throw it over the snow pile by the walkway lol   Told my co-worker in Washington state i was gonna be like the hunchback after this winter, except it would be my lower right back as much as those back muscles have gotten a work out from shoveling.

@Foxtrot I did that tho-I even had my gf time me and when he got on the back of the horse I had her start the timer and when I got there I had 24 seconds to go. And when I had her start it when I untie him I got there just as timer was going off and neither counted towards the gold so idk what to try next

not much online about it either,  timer is 1 min 40 sec, only site i've looked at so far that says anything about the gold time run is powerpyx - http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-a-strange-kindness-walkthrough/

Move quickly, and go around fences rather than jumping over them to maintain your speed and stamina.  Keep heading towards the checkpoint, and you'll reunite the family.

EDit:  just found on Gamepressure the timer starts at the end of the gunfight.  https://guides.gamepressure.com/red-dead-redemption-2/guide.asp?ID=47111

    • Return the captive to his family within 1 minute and 40 seconds - Run towards your horse as soon as you end the battle. Ride quickly to the man's family.
    • Score 5 headshots - There are only a few enemies here so use every opportunity to score a headshot.
    • Complete the mission with at least 80% accuracy - There aren't many enemies here so you shouldn't have problems with completing this challenge.
    • Complete the mission without items that replenish health.

In my previous two play throughs, I enjoyed the Veteran missions most of all, making friends with Hamish and gaining Buell (the best gosh-darned horse in the West)..

On my third (and final) play though, I started one of the missions with Arthur and then held back.  I was so emotionally involved before that I wanted Buell to survive this time round - something that would have been impossible with Arthur.

So I've saved the rest of the missions for John, for when the  main story is done and I can concentrate on the exploration goals.

I still don't see why you'd want to, definitely not the best horse, but we've had that discussion already ;)

So then i got thinking, cause i thought the side missions didn't carry into the epilogue, and we know the horses in the stables don't (except the DLC horse), and i found this on gamepressure - what transfers into the epilogue.  For their full list - https://guides.gamepressure.com/red-dead-redemption-2/guide.asp?ID=47357

Side missions - No. The game will not allow you to deal with side quests that you have ignored in chapters 2-6. The only way to do so is to load the previous save of the game before the final events in chapter 6. You can continue to repeat the main quests in chapters 1-6 by selecting them from the main menu. It is worth noting that in epilogue the game provides new side tasks that were previously unavailable.

And this explains why i went from a dark dark red hat to neutral,  i thought it was from the honor in the missions in chapter 6

    Quote

Honor - No. When the epilogue begins, the honor bar (reputation) will be back in the middle of the scale. You have to build it anew if you care about e.g. discounts in shops. In the newly "unlocked" state of New Austin, fortunately there are a lot of random meetings in which you can easily earn positive honor points.

Doesn't look like you'll get to keep Buell in the epilogue, but then again, it wouldn't be the first time one of these game guide sites were wrong.

Anyone have any open posses that are looking for people, none of my friends play this game and I wouldn’t mind getting the online trophies for this game. It would be much easier if I had others to play with. PSN is TimmyJ5

check the RDR2 Online forum, there's a thread for posse's there.

I don't know how much snow we had this year but it wasn't nearly as much. We have had more rain than anything. I find that to be more annoying in the winter because everything stays wet for so long and if the temps drop enough at night, everything is ice.

That's what it's doing now.  since Sunday we've gotten almost 20 inches, started raining this morning before i got up and is still raining.  Weather alert says 8 more inches of snow on the way but i think it's going to be rain.

I suck at cooking anything. I want to get better at it just so I can get off of eating fast food and frozen meals. Anyone got some easy recipes suited for like a 12 year old (I am not 12 but I have the kitchen skills of a 12 year old LOL!)??

you like pork?  i have a super simple pretzel crusted pork loin recipe.   You can swap out the pork for chicken breasts but i like pork better in this one.

    Quote

    • 2 pork loins (6-8 oz each)
    • 2 Tablespoons mayo
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 2 Tablespoons mayo (yes listed twice, you use it twice)
    • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup pretzel crumbs

    Preheat oven to 400 F

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside

Pat the pork loins dry with a paper towel and set them aside

in a small bowl mix 2 Tablespoons of mayo, the mustard, and the brown sugar together well for the mustard sauce, then set it aside.

Crush pretzels into crumbs, enough for about 1/2 cup and dump then in a shallow bowl or on a plate

In another shallow bowl add the remaining 2 Tablespoons of mayo, and about 1 teaspoon of water and mix well.  You want the mayo somewhat runny to coat the pork loins.

Dip the pork loins in the mayo/water mix so they're coated all over, let the excess drip back into the bowl.  then place the pork on the pretzel crumbs.  you want the pork loin totally covered in crumbs, press them into the meat.  then set the loins aside on a plate.

heat a frying pan over medium heat.  My stove is electric, dial goes from 1 to 9 and HI,  i set it just under 5 for this.  Once the pan is hot add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then carefully place the coated pork loins in the pan.  Cook for 2 - 3 minutes until the crust is golden brown, then flip and cook for 2 - 3 minutes more.

Transfer the pork to the baking pan, and bake in the oven for about 8 minutes.  If you have a meat thermometer you want the internal center temp to be at least 145 F no higher than 155 F or the pork becomes dry and chewy.

Remove the pork, plate it, drizzle the mustard sauce over the pork.

If you swap it out with chicken you want the chicken cooked to a minimum of 165 F internal temp.

I usually have this with pan seared asparagus or brussels sprouts.

So here I am 5 hours into gambler challenge 9 when I'm about to win my third game in a row at emerald station when all of a sudden bob just decides to not pick up the last 2 tiles...  The man is having a brain aneurism it looks like. This challenge is actually starting to make me not enjoy this game anymore which is a shame because we all know how fun this game is, whoevers idea it was at rockstar to throw this challenge in deserves to be shot in the back with a varmint rifle, hog tied, then thrown in a murfee brood camp butt naked.

Don't play against more than 1 person and it's fairly easy.  you add another player and your chances of winning 3 in a row are much worse.

I do use Xbox One.  I reset my settings - no change.  I will try powering off.  Hopefully it will come back.  On the bright side, I am getting real good at head shots.

Again, thanks for taking to time to help.  You are a good person.  I will look forward to more chats.  Take it easy.  Peace.

for PS4 start the game, then after the initial splash page hold in both R1 and L1 until you get the darkness and screen calibration menu.

ok I cannot find Dutch's pipe at Vetter's echo shack. after barging in the front door the first time I played and dropping my controller and crapping my pants (was not expecting what was there), the pipe was not there. at first I thought it was because I was in chapter 6 so I restarted after completing chapter 6. I'm in chapter 2 now and not to far along so I went back but still no pipe. am I doing something wrong? Oh and still crapped my pants lol.

Did you talk to Dutch in your restart to get hte pipe?  i think that's a "timed" one you have to get in the chapter he asks for it as to what happens between the two later.

  13. There's gotta be a chant we can do to keep the snow away, something like the "Rain rain go away come again some other day" one?

Right now in my back yard, in the untouched areas of snow i have 37 inches, that reflects the snow that has melted from a short rain and the sun shine on it this last week or so.  The weather reporting station here has recorded a total snow accumulation this season of 55 inches.

And now we just got a winter storm warning for my area for another 2 -3 feet of snow between Saturday and Tuesday.  That will put our total accumulation for the year over 6 ft of snow.  Think it might break the record this year, and will put the snow level in my back yard just over 5 ft if we get the 2 ft they say.  I won't be able to shovel the walk and throw the snow over the snow pile with my bum shoulder, have to pay a neighborhood kid i guess.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM SATURDAY TO 5 PM MST
    TUESDAY...

    * WHAT...Periods of moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow are
expected. Three day snow accumulations of 2 to 3 feet are
expected, with localized higher amounts in the mountains above
pass level. Travel will be very difficult to impossible.

I'm so sick of snow already, and what's weird is i LIKE snow, i like to jump on the snowmobile and go tear around in the boonies, or strap on the snow shoes and take a hike up the hill after a fresh snowfall.  But this is just getting to be too much.  GIVE ME SPRING ALREADY!! :)

So anyone want some snow?  free snow, just pay shipping.

That’s what I figured it would be like. I was unlucky to have a high-roller on the table who edged me with a better hand more often than not. He also busted other players when they were short, so I had to keep waiting for new players with a smaller pot.

This table took a lot longer than Valentine, where I busted someone with ten minutes.

I’m  sure not playing poker in Saint Denis again!

I'd shoot those guys then run away and go back and play again ;)  might not be good if you're playing a white hat though.  i kept my red hat until chapter 5 or 6, to many missions there give you good honor.

    Truth,

If i bought the game, id just wanna experience it lkke the first game. And in this case its not about winning, im just trying to have and save the game in the process. I mean i thnk they should allow that. I understand obviously it disables achievements, but  id just like to save my game thats all. But thanks

i can't think of any games off the top of my head that allow saving with cheats enabled (i'm sure there are some somewhere, and someone will come along in a few minutes and refresh my memory with some of those games :P) so why should this one?

thanks fellas, my controller is fine on other games.  I guess that I will have to reset settings because I cannot line up multiple, red dot shots, while in focus mode.

you mean Dead Eye?  you have to unlock that ability  in chapter 2.  should have it though since you said you just started chapter 3.  settings reset will hopefully fix it for you.  You might also try exiting the game and powering off the console for 30 seconds or so if you're on Xbox.  I forget what to do to clear the cache on PS4, one too many beers at lunch, good thing it's just meetings the rest of my day ;)

I am not a fan of black coffee. I use them flavored creamers you get and keep in the fridge. When I was younger I was dating a girl who worked at Starbucks so I used to get a coffee every day for free. The only thing I would ever drink from there are those cold caramel things, frappuccinos think they were. I liked the mild hint of coffee flavor. It was like drinking a shake more than a coffee. I would never drink their coffee straight or just with cream. Tastes like licking pavement.

Me either.  I started drinking coffee when i was a young child, like 6 or so maybe, maybe even earlier than that.  My parents wouldn't allow it at home, but Grandpa and Grandma had coffee.  So when i was growing up my brothers and I would go and spend a weekend or in the summer a week or so at my grandparents.  My grandpa was a ranch hand before he retired, and then after retiring he helped out with various ranchers on whatever they needed to keep himself busy.

Grandma would serve breakfast at 6am sharp.  If you got up at that time you could eat with them, if not Grandma would set your plate aside and then heat it up for you later.  Our goal as kids was to get up and have breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma.  Breakfast was a couple slices of sausage, a piece of toast, and a cup of coffee.  Our coffee was like a 1/4 of the coffee cup, then condensed milk for creamer and a few spoons of sugar.

That's how i grew up drinking coffee.  Skip ahead about 40 years to today and i can't drink it black, i have to have creamer, but I've cut the sugar out at the doc's order :P

snow is way over rated :P  we have just over 4ft on the ground now and more coming this weekend and next week.  I'm done with winter, bring on spring!

What film would be best to introduce someone to western films? My friend's little brother is getting interested in RDR2 but knows next to nothing about the old west. We want him to watch some films first. He is 15.

The Cowboys would be perfect.  if you haven't seen it, it's a John Wayne film from the early 70s, so it's good for kids to watch for those parents that restrict tv/movies.  It's even about kids.  John Wayne takes the kids on a cattle drive.  There's a fight with a guy trying to steal the cattle, John Wayne get's shot and eventually dies, so the kids finish the cattle drive and avenge his death.

It's one of my all time favorites :)

A more recent film to watch would be Tombstone, another one of my favorites.

I like to put soy sauce in soup and in chili. I have a real weak tongue when it comes to salt so soy sauce tends to add more flavor to things for me than just using salt.

Have you tried ponzu sauce?  i find it has less salt than soy and a better flavor.  it's basically a few ingredients added to soy sauce.  I really like the citrus ponzu sauce.
