    It isn't like a computer

that makes no sense at all.  It IS a computer lol just in a different box.  The 30 second wait is for the capacitors and such to release all their electricity.  Computers have a fail safe that they won't turn on until that is done, so does Xbox, otherwise you'll have a situation like Dell did with the GX270 system and exploding capacitors.  No it's not mandatory to wait for this discharge to happen (when it works it's done instantly), but it's smart.

SmArt move.  I'm actively pushing to finish as much as I can before the endgame because my window is shrinking.

same.  I'm finding that i'm not really up for a 2nd play through.  I just started chapter 6 and have everything completed except challenges and such that require access to New Austin (Legendary fish/animals, bones, etc).  I'll get the 100% and call it good, maybe go back in a while and play it again but not right away.  3-5 hours a night almost every night since release and now i'm finding it hard to return to, to finish the game.

Didn't even know you could take a bath, only 15% in though, guessing it's something down the line.  There's a few times (after the fight in Valentine in the beginning) where I wanted to get cleaned up as I was head to toe in mud.  Good to know it's an option at some point.

you can do it right from the start,  go to the hotel and choose bath instead of room.

I know, I ussualy try to stay away from game information as much as possible before I finish the story, cookies and companies spying are the worst like tho, I often get spoilers from just going on the youtube, because of vid titles on the front page that goolge thinks are mustchWATCHorDIE >.>

I can't stand youtube.  Haven't looked at anything on there in years maybe.  bad enough they give you youtube results in your searches, wish those could be toggled on or off.

Should have googled when i typed this :P  you can remove youtube results from a google search by adding -youtube to your search like so "RDR2 Moose Locations -youtube"

I am getting really ****ing tired of shooting a deer, bison, birds, pretty much everything in the head 6 times or more with the bolt action before it stays on the ground dead and doesn't get back up for another attempt to escape. Also vanishing carcasses is really ****ing annoying as well.

sounds like a personal problem, or your'e hitting them in the neck instead of the head.  Bolt action rifle I've never had issues using while hunting, and I've crafted every item the Trapper will create minus the animal parts only found in New Austin.  I usually use the Springfield, but then i get bored of that one and switch to the bolt action.  I got my last 3 moose skins with the bolt action.  1 headshot is all it takes.  You could try for the vitals if your dead eye is leveled up enough, headshots are the only sure way to get a perfect pelt, miss a vital shot and you ruin the pelt, not as easy to miss a headshot, well it is but usually you just miss, not ruin the pelt.

I wouldn't bother until you progress through the story more. Even then, it's still a pain in the ass to get it right.

I quit trying a while back.  My goal now is to see how far down into new austin in can ride before they kill me lol  So far i've made it across the border by my dead body length :D  Thank god for the never dying DLC horses too, i'd have spent a fortune on these trying with good bought horses.

I was pissed when I first got to that challenge though

that's horseman 9 for me,  i've tried and tried and tried to make the run but i always die from the bounty hunters before i get to the Blackwater boundary.

I was wondering, If anyone found out if the lads were ever actually getting around to get Arthur back when Colm nicked him at the desert parlay. It seemed like they werent but noone ever comes back to that situation ever again. Did any of you guys find out anything about that somwhere in the game ?

nope but i'm only starting chapter 6.

Yeah, seriously, to hell with these challenges. I was doing well until I got the the Herbalist level whatever, where it tells you to go pick one of each f*cking plant in the game. AGAIN! It is absolutely ridiculous and quite frankly not worth my time.

lol that one is easy, pick herbs as you ride around, there's another post for this challenge here somewhere that someone had an excel sheet for all the area's they grow in.  not 100% accurate but close enough.

Catch a Fish in the Bayou From a Riverboat and While Standing On Train Tracks

I found a spot for this you won't have to watch for trains.  Just north of St. Denis the train tracks split, the east track goes up to Annesbury, but the west track is unused as it dead ends.  You can stand on that west track and fish all day if you want.

Catch a Fish That Weighs at Least 19 lbs

Almost all of the Lake Sturgeon weigh at least this much.  And you can catch them in the swamp at Lagras with the lake or swamp lures.

Yep definitely online, you don't get maps from hideouts in story mode.

  12. bandana's back then weren't worn for fashion.  They had a purpose.  Most men in those days didn't give a sh*t about fashion and wearing patterns, or if their shirt matched their spurs. etc.

The only things that mattered about a bandanna was if it matched the colors if they were in a gang, (like The Cowboys  and the Wild Bunch all wore red bandannas)  to keep dust/dirt from their mouths, and conceal themselves if needed.

I think the masks are stupid, masks back then were mainly worn in the cities by the rich and the suck-ups to their balls and parties.  Men of the wild west didn't wear masks, they used their bandannas.  About the only time you'd see a mask on an outlaw was their death photograph/drawing depending on the undertaker, or if they got shot in the face/head.

Exactly why I have a "go-to" list of 5-10 places I know Mrs. Creed won't say "no" to.  It covers an array of cultural culinary options, and it's never failed.

Pro tip: always have your S.O.'s favorite desert option on the list.  I know that for Mrs. Creed, every so often, I'll be going to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard instead of an actual meal.  Which is fine with me because I pass the best tacos in town on the way back.

haha!  for my last girlfriend that was BK, when dinner couldn't be decided on she wanted the whopper junior.  Then i'd go to Arby's on the way back for good food.  I'd rather have mcdonalds over BK, but McD's was a hell no! on her list of places.  Probably why she's an X now :P

So I guess that makes you old enough that if you actually had a question, you can remember going into a library and reading several books on a subject and forming a conclusion based on what you read.  Over pick up your phone asking a question, it sends you to site that may or may not actually have knowledge on the subject and assuming that one source is all you need to become an expert.

yes.  And i still know how to use the Dewey decimal system to find the book or magazine in the library :)  Those were the days, one dictionary, maybe 2, and 2 encyclopedias to find all your facts in, although around here the Encyclopedia Britannica was used more.  And we had to have 3 resources listed in our papers to show we actually did the research or we would fail on that paper.  I went back to college in 2014 to finish my degree and was amused to find that wikipedia is not (or was not then, may have changed now) recognized by universities as a valid source of information.  If that site was cited on your papers you failed.

I did that several times. Still doesn't work. I have also tried to restart it from the beginning several times. Still no go.

if you're on xbox save the game (or if you have a save near that mission use it) then exit the game in the game menu or game management menu.  Shut the xbox off for 30 seconds or so using the button on the console.  restart the console, load that save and try again.

I feel a connection between myself and one of those cesspools that you mentioned.  The only thing I missed and I may have missed in what you wrote.  Because of technology, I don't think most people know how to communicate with other people in general.  As I have said before some seem to think their way is the only way and then that makes them think that it becomes fact.  In reality, there is always atleast one person some where that will think differently then you and the ability to discuss things open mindedly is a lost skill.

you nailed it.  the current generation would be very hard pressed to write a legitimate english (or whatever their language is) essay without their chat acronyms and slang.  My english teacher way back when would be smacking her metal yardstick on her desk chewing them out for grammar and improper sentences lol.

Sorry to take you offsite and watch out for spoilers. Just a fun story involving RDR and the Pinkertons.

    https://kotaku.com/the-pinkertons-are-still-around-suing-over-red-dead-re-1831750643

Sue everyone for anything you can dream up has been the motto for people all over the world for the last 50 years or so.  Pinkerton's will lose (and now i'm going to be sued for typing their name).

How many of your issues have actually been fixed?  I have been on a few forums over the years and for the most part they do it for PR, cause unless issues become large issues, they don't get addressed.

on those games?  almost all.  There's always going to be small one-off things that not everyone will encounter that they don't do much with.   That's the thing with the discord forum, you get to interact with the dev's and talk to them directly.  Usually you have to be invited, i haven't seen a discord forum that was open to anyone yet.  i made some suggestions in a fan forum for a game and got an invite to their discord forum.  To count that's the third one i've been in.  2 pc games i was chosen to beta test a decade or more ago, and one xbox game this past summer.

And they don't cause then they have to pay people to man the stations and pay attention to what we say.  Most in the industry, really don't want to hear what we have to say.  Rockstar has always seemed to be, "Here we made it, you play it, if it doesn't work let us know the problem, we'll fix it.  Now go away."

the big companies are like that.  Some of the smaller ones have discord forums where you can actually converse with the devs.  I havea few smaller games like that that i play when i'm bored with everything else that actually had some of my suggestions and complaints taken into consideration and used :)

  20. 5 minutes ago, YodaMan 3D said:

Yes, it is official this is a forum.  I don't think it is backed by Rockstar.  That would require them to pay people to monitor it.

okay you got me there :)  There is no official forum for RDR2, or any other Rockstar game for that matter.  Rockstar doesn't back any forum at all that i can find.

Pizza toppings? That's always an hour shot in the a$$.

    "Alexa.....order a pizza."

"What would you like on it"

    "Pepperoni"

Pepperoni is only good at select places.  Any of the main pizza chains like Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa Johns, etc. have horrible pepperoni.  Chicago is okay.  Unless the pepperoni is greasy and oily and hte cheese is goey it doesn't even register as top 10.  My favorite around here is Costco, i pay $50 a year for their membership to get good pizza and wander the samples for lunch when i'm in town lol.  I actually shop there maybe twice a year since it's mostly bulk and takes me that long to get through everything from the last trip.

  22. wiki says there's bullets and jewelry there,  i'll have to check tonight to see if it's open for me.  I just finally made it to chapter 6 this weekend and started the Veteran's missions.  :)  now i get to see what all the hype is with Buel.
