How I I give the ingredients to Pearson for cooking, like sage, wild mint, etc? Also, how do I use the cans of coffee in my list of provisions? Thanks in advance!!
Button tips on the screen show you how. Lower right corner.
Don't need to target Pearson, just walk up to the table and press Right on the DPad to sell/donate, or X i think it is to craft things with what you've sold/donated to him.

Sometimes it does it and sometimes not. Arthur starts walking when Im trying to aim at a target and scares things away before i can aim for a perfect pelt. I want to stand still when i aim. Whst to do?
If you're moving when you hit the trigger to aim, you'll keep moving. Stop then aim.

Figures just cause i need one now I can't find them. Same thing happened with the perfect Robin carcass lol, i shot a few along the river, then when i needed on it took hours to finally find one.
I got a bunch of hawk and eagle feathers near Riggs at night, i'll keep trying there and see if i can get one to turn up.

Depending on the terrain it will skip the animation. like if you fell a deer next to a tree so Arthur can't get between the tree and the deer, or the ground is too steep, etc.

Have not seen an owl the whole time I've been playing, now I need owl feathers for a challenge. Googled locations and that was pretty pointless.
Anyone have a good owl hunting spot?

Spent FOUR DAYS trying every known spawn location; using various levels of BAIT. Cannot see even one male moose in dozens of hours. It is so aggravating. There simply is no guaranteed location I have ever seen. People post all these many locations, and that doesnt seem to help me at all because I go to all of them, re-load saves, use bait, move around, sleep, etc. And still no Western Bull Moose.
Sounds like a personal problem, got one this morning at lake Isabella again. Was in the afternoon if that helps.

Having trouble with survivalist 6.
I've killed and skinned a deer, waited by the corpse, and
SpoilerKilled a hawk that flew down to eat on the corpse.
So then I killed another deer, there was a fix that came by it, shot it while it was eating and got no credit.
Killed half a dozen bounty hunters, waited by them and shot the vultures, got no credit.
What gives?
Edit:. Guess you have to leave the area. Rode away so the mini map was clear of course and shot another deer, got credit for that one.

Whoa, there, Speed Racer! Some of us are only on Chapter 2 (47%).
I'd still be in Chapter 2, but i wanted to unlock the horse fence to do the challenges, probably take me another month maybe to get all the pelts now for all the outfits and whatnot, and then there's the hunting side requests, and the rest of the challenges, and then there's all the other stuff you can do.

PSA
Make a backup of your game's save files; either to Cloud or USB. Just in case something bad happens to your PS4/PS4's HD.Good idea, i went cheap on the xbox and only got the 250gb internal drive. I have 2 - 2TB external drives connected for my games and media, i'll have to copy the save files to onedrive to be safe.

Used the bath last night for the first time in RDR2, the girl that assists you gives you a hand job it looks like, so there is a little bit of hidden sexual activity lol, why else is she reaching way down in the tub right there?

That sucks, bro. I've never relied on autosave in this game (I actually have it disabled), simply because of the old-school practice of saving before I start a new mission, or whenever I "check a box" on a challenge/side quest.
Auto save sucks because if I screw something up, or my horse gets killed, I have no recourse other than to load the autosave--which in this game seems to be triggered by tradgedy more often than success.
I've done the same thing. Seemed like i'd do a restore for something and then in the middle of a timed run or right when i was going to turn on dead eye and get that headshot i'd been waiting an hour for, i'd get the autosave popup.
Just to clarify, and for those that don't know, autosave has 4 triggers -
- Before and after story missions
- when you sleep at camp or hotel
- when you get the hand job from the cute girl while bathing (why else is she reaching into the tub right there?)
- when you buy or sell an item from a "store" - gunsmith, fence, etc.

But that's the only one lmao
I think this is another one of those things that could be prevented by completely exiting the game when you're done playing instead of just turning off the system. The "instant on" is a convenient feature, but it causes a lot of weird bugs.
Bingo! That clears the cache as described in the link for the Xbox. For PS4 you have to hold the R1/L1 buttons after the first splash screen to get the darkness/screen adjustment options, then the cache is cleared.

I ended up getting this one AFTER fighting off the law. First attempt, they stopped the train and tried shooting me. I rode off for a minute and came back to find a completely abandoned train. I ran up to the front (after looting of course) and got the train going again. Quickly hopped out and shot down 4 birds (already had credit for 1) with time to spare. Far less frustrating than having to find another train, but I got a HUGE bounty for stopping the train in a populated area.
Nice! i'll add that.

updated a few tips since i had to restore and redo a couple challenges.

My tip I quoted a few posts up has been reliable if you're interested. Took me hours to get my first one, then I figured that out. Now it takes more effort to ride over there.
I'll try that tonight.

ah that's simple. That saddle drains the core of your horse's Stamina and Health 12% slower than normal, and the stamina ring regen (regenerate) rate is 12% faster than normal, and the stamina ring drain rate is 25% slower than normal.
Different saddles will increase or decrease the "normal" drain and regen rates of those stats. You want - signs for the drains and + signs for the regen rates.
Check this link for more details on the cores and rings - https://www.polygon.com/red-dead-redemption-2-guide/2018/10/25/18008874/cores-health-stamina-dead-eye-rings-upgrade-fill

Before Rockstar did the Online Beta update, I was in chapter 4, I have just been transported back to chapter 2 and I am crying
I FORGOT TO MANUAL SAVE........I deserve everything coming my way, all that gold and money gone, all those Legendary Fishes caught, Gone. all those Legendary Animals killed, I have to hunt them down again.
Don't get me started on the treasure maps, Dinosaur Bones, Dream Catchers, Rock Carvings
I am in tears........lol
I've gone back to chapter 2 twice now to get my horse back the first time, and then again to redo a side mission i was looking forward to and missed. Just gives you more play time, and redoing those things is much quicker since you've done them once

This is the first time i've heard of Godless, so last night during dinner i sat down to watch it. Food is my thing, not much comes between me and my dinner. But after turning on Godless and trying to watch the first episode, for the first time in 40+ years, i fell asleep during dinner. that show is way to slow for me, and i love westerns, maybe i'll try and watch it again Saturday morning, see if it puts me into a midmorning nap lol.

That’s weird, I’ve been there dozens of times and killed people for fun, never got a bounty for it.
I'm wrong, you were right.
I was there last night doing the blackjack challenge. I shot the dealer in the head when i finally finished it (12 hands to win 1 hand, dealer was on a roll), then shot the other players for how stupidly they play, then had to kill the few left in the saloon since they started shooting at me, and got no bounty, not even accused of a crime.
I'm wondering now if the bounty i got was from the train going by at the north edge of town maybe? that's where i ran the dude over with my horse and think the train was going by then. Just left the stables to the north with the horse stam/health upgrade to try the run to Blackwater. Tried that again last night and died halfway to blackwater from the border. I had 17 bounty hunters around me, 6 behind, 3 to the side and 8 in front blocking me from going farther towards town lol They really hate when you outrun the first 2 groups i guess.

I don't have a problem with needing to earn money. I like a challenge. What I have a problem with is the way they allow people just go on repeat killing each other for no reason. I play by myself so it isn't even a fair match up. Even if I manage to kill 1 or 2 people, the other ones end up getting me.
I was hoping they'd do something for that similar to GTAO. If my memory serves correctly, in the beginning, or near, they would kick the "bad sports" off the server to a "bad sports" server and ban them if they continued there.
I doubt i'll play much online as i'm a solo player, and can't stand the generic online idiots that accumulate in games like these. I really liked GTAO for the first while, till it was slam packed with 12 yr old idgits, as my son called them, griefing everyone. Got to be that a solo player, or on the rare occasion i could play online with my son, couldn't get anything accomplished, except dying repeatedly.

I have watched other videos on saddle stats and all of them have (+) next to the percentage but all of my saddles have (-) next to drain rates, health and stamina, and (+) next to regen rate. I'm trying to figure out if the negative means it helps or hurts the horse stats. Also why does every video and online site show only positive signs next to their stats? Can somebody help me?
screenshot so we can see what you're seeing? I'll have to check mine tonight after work and see what they show to compare.

I have more luck (when being attacked) on my horse. They knock you off instead of instantly killing you, but then the run off to circle back for the kill. This gives you just enough time to pull out a gun and line up your shot.
Anytime I've been attacked on foot, they've killed me (unless I noticed the dot)...
Seems like i hunt in game same as real life pretty much. If i'm after Elk i'll ride a horse to the area i've scoped out, then proceed on foot to track and kill. After the kill then i'd go get the horse and ride it back to pack out the animal. I don't usually use a horse for deer or antelope since you can pack those out on your back or use game bags in your pack.
I've had the escape panther death from being crouched work twice, maybe 3 times. I've been killed probably double that, maybe triple, also while crouched. Panther is by far the hardest one to hunt.
I'm waiting on the timer again for the legendary panther. First time i was out hunting it and just checked the 3rd sign and got the red on the minimap from bounty hunters and the message there was too much activity. 2nd time i died, fed the panther well though. Hopefully third time is a charm
