It was GTA V bro. And yes, they will likely do it again.
QuoteThe first main reason is that Rockstar Games’ believes the single player component is more important and it wants to get people playing that single player before they jump into the multi player.
“I think the well executed multiplayer game clearly attracts a big audience, but it doesn’t attract as big an audience as in a single player game, It just doesn’t do that yet….Not everybody, not even with Call of Duty, not everyone is playing the multiplayer, there’s a huge audience for people who love single-player adventures.”
The second reason behind the delay was that Rockstar Games simply didn’t feel they could complete both the single and multi player components in time for the same release date. Hence they decided to release the more important single player first and have the multi player come after.
“On the practical reasons it was simply on the scale of: ‘Why not simply get these two enormous things done completely at the same time, finished completely seamlessly and in a box? Well, because its nearly impossible. To make games on this scale is very, very hard and anyone you speak to who works on those big games will, if they’re honest, admit that there are a lot of moving parts. So, we were concerned that trying to finish them both for the same day would lead to a compromise in quality. On a practical level, it was very important that they each get a period when they can be really focused on by large numbers of the team to iron out as many problems as possible.”

Making gang on social club would be sick
I was thinking this but I feel like they should have something separate from social club for this one. Yet, knowing them, they will likely just group it in if they decide to do it. Either way I am not bothered with that stuff. Leader boards don't appeal to me. I am all for gang fights though online!

I entered a few giveaway over the last few weeks I found through PC Gamer and out of curiosity, have you considered using Gleam @lonestar? I guess it is a bit late for that but it makes doing things like this a lot smoother and easier.

Who cares what he wants! I loved that scene in the trailer. I actually like that Arthur is a bounty hunter of sorts as well. I would say more of a "debt collector" but either way. I think he is coming off very dry which can be good. Specially if John makes an appearance.

I guess over-eating and eating fast. I do this all the time and I likely look like a pig when I do but when I see other people do it, I find it disgusting.

Dutch is such a cocky bad ass. I love getting to see him younger. Him being confirmed alone is amazing but it would seem we will be working under him as well. I wonder how this will match up to the second game, if it does at all.

CONFIRMED!

So based on the trailer, the new one, it would appear we will only be playing as one character and his name is Arthur F'N Morgan! What a good name. Kind of just sounds like he is up to no good. I love his voice and his attitude already. I am almost certain now that we will only be playing as one character which I am honestly okay with as long as Arthur is fulfilling as John was to play as. You guys think it will be one protagonist like the last? How do you feel about it?

It's definitely relative.
When I was younger, I remember we had one summer with a few big hurricanes. I think we reached letter 'S' in the alphabet of naming them because we had so many. That was like 20 years ago. The last two most recent hurricanes, Harvey and Irma, are pretty standard operation. It's when hurricanes start hitting the Northeast cost people start to panic, but even those events occur every 100 years or so. I think a category 3 hurricane hit New York in 1938, and that was a longgggg time ago.
I read something about that. I guess so scientists are saying the next one to hit NY could leave NYC under water, including Long Island and Montauk. Reminds me of Futurama. Scary stuff man.

^^ Oh yeah! I forgot they gave us a tease on a Sunday. I mean who really knows at this point when we will get some news. It doesn't seem likely it will be this week with the NFL season starting out on Thursday - that is if they do choose to do it on a Thursday.
I thought this too. I am guessing it will be this next Thursday coming up. They don't want to wait too long, other games will be coming out for the fall releases soon and they can steal their thunder (not that the fans care so much, we just want SOMETHING!!!).

Judging by the trailer, I think we won't see any desert areas this time. They said the game will take place in "America's unforgiving heartland". There is no consensus as to "where" America's heartland is physically located. However, the American Midwest is the most commonly cited area as being the nation's heartland, although many other places have been referred to as part of it, often extending to rural or farming regions in the great plains.

Oh God I hope you are right! This means we will see SO much more. The north was more "developed" in those times and had a lot more drama going on. Considering I live in Michigan it would be interesting to see what part's of the state's history they include in the game.

They were working on one but sadly it did get canned. I'm hoping that they do revive it (quite possible they decide based on the reaction to this remaster).
Oddly (or maybe not so oddly) enough the switch physical version costs more than the other two physical versions that'll be available. Makes me wonder if the cartridges were really a good idea.
It likely cost more because those cartridges are designed to handle interval gaming like the old school ones. Disks have always worked better and I am shocked they went back to them now after seeing that on 3 (Gamecube, Wii, WiiU) consoles since the last cartage console they did (N64).

Yeah the shop system worked great in GTA and I would prefer to see that in RDR2 online.
I mean they can take it one step further and opt out on dropped ammo making it harder so this way you need to keep an eye on your supplies at all times so you know what you have.

Hmm well, knowing about the cars it would make sense to hear something next week or in the next few weeks. Shouldn't be much later longer unless they enjoy teasing us and making us suffer

I actually used to think that eventually that Rockstar games would be put onto Nintendo consoles but they never advanced as much. Though now, I think the Switch could handle it but I don't thing they want these kinds of games anymore.

What are some bad habits you have that you would like to stop? Could be anything and you could want to stop for any reason.
I have an issue with cracking my knuckles, neck, and back. It has actually caused me to have a lot of pain. I am going to be working with a chiropractor to get good adjustments and then not do anything to reverse it. I hope it sticks.

They had dogs in the last one so why not? I would imagine maybe taming a wolf (young) would be an option then. So maybe have like 4 or 5 breeds to choose from and a wolf. I would be down for that. Would add a small edge to the online game as well. They can even sell future breeds as DLC.

Considering you played the good guy in the last one, being the bad guy is to be expected I think. UNLESS this gang started out good and got bad over time but I don't think that is how the story went.

Well if you have an In-N-Out in your area, the Double-Double is probably my favorite burger. It seems basic but it is very nice.

Realistically, aside from the ones they already touched on, many of them aren't worth adding in. There has to be something of value be it needing skill, being fun, or producing a funny outcome for people to enjoy it online. Poker and any general card game works great because of this. Then we had liar's dice I think it was called.

Hmm. Well I can't say I would have thought this would be an option but really, based on the information we know right now, anything is possible. I will be shocked if they do this or something like it though. Doesn't seem to be in their taste.
There is this too. Like this is something I just can't see Rockstar ever doing. Like I said, online is one thing...

I had no idea RUST released a Wild West expansion pack!... Oh, wait...

I guess I am a drama guy. I prefer things that are real in nature but still offer the suspense and shocks in everyday lives. I don't mind other genres but it takes a lot for me to get into horror, romance, ect.
What are all the genres anyways?
Absurdist/surreal/whimsical.
Action.
Adventure.
Comedy.
Crime.
Drama.
Fantasy.
Historical...And all of these.
I personally enjoy a good comedy. I don't mind simple humor, potty humor, dark humor, or even dry humor. I tend to prefer sitcoms as well over regular story progression series.

Old thread but I wanted to say something.
What if games in general started doing this? Like instead of paying your console to play online games, you had to pay game individually. So if the devs decided to charge, you would be forced to pay BUT would not be paying a monthly fee to PS/Xb, would that change your minds?

Anyone get/getting CoD WWII?

Have not played it and don't plan on getting it. Not really my cup of tea anymore. It was fun and only fun when I used to play with a group of friends. Playing by yourself, even online, gets boring after a week.
