So far RS have said they would not restart players accounts after the beta ends. But yes you never know. However if they did I imagine the uproar from players would be huge. This "beta" is now in it's 48th day. A lot of players have got to high ranks.

Keep going you will get there. Remember the saddle and stirrups are key to the performance of your horse. I have a friend who rides a shire horse. The damn thing runs like the wind. Because of his loadout.

Super excited that I've only got 4 Ranks to go, then it's another grind for the Arabian (at rank 66 & 70) and the last stretch to get the Leather Duster (at rank 96).
I really don't know if I'd play the game after I get those things because Online just seems empty in terms of things to do, most events and mission just seem like a constant grind toward rank unlocks. I mean i enjoy hunting a lot but then you can do that in Story mode too. Here's hoping that they release more content for online this year (and maybe, just maybe, single player DLC?).
Yeah I know the pain you are going through. I am now struggling to keep playing online. You are right there is nothing to do except keep grinding to get the higher rankings.

Yes, RS have said all progress, upgrades, weapons, etc will remain after beta ends. If you delete your character however, during the beta and beyond, you will only retain the cash and gold you own at the time of character deletion. Everything else will be lost.

Although there is this other bug which constantly shows (at random) either two or one of my stabled horse that i don’t use have completely red depleted health in their stables so when i take them out for the first time or whistle for them in free roam after a while, they need to be fed, this is even though i 100% make sure to stable them well fed with 100% health and stamina cores.
Report this issue to RS. What saddles are you using. Are you upgrading them. Although I don't think that is the problem.

But they are not the best horses in the game lol. The Turkoman and Fox Trotter offer more. I had the Fox Trotter in Chapter 2 never looked back.

Patience is a virtue. It is obvious the online mode is not ready. RS have been caught out. Hence this long beta period. Benefit of hindsight. RS should not have released online until this year. When it was ready. But I guess they could see even a broken game would make money.

Comparing the present game with the past game is moot. RDR2 should be better because they have more to work with this time. Gaming tech has also evolved since the original RDR. Also RS have learned a lot, from the incredible success of RDR, and the GTA franchise, right up to GTA5 and GTAO.

Edit: now that I've been playing a few minutes longer I've also noticed I'm getting perfect pelts off of animals I shouldn't be. I just got a perfect pelt from a good buck and a perfect pelt from a poor deer. So I'm guessing it must just be a bug.
It is probably because you have maxed out on pelt, meat parts etc. If you have not maxed out, then it sounds like a glitch. If so report it to RS.

I did experience this issue. It appears to be a glitch. Did you have a horse that was killed in a mission. Due to the fact you were not quick enough to revive it. That is what happened to me, when I was a lower rank. That is when this problem started for me. I had to eventually go to my stable and heal the horse.

No! not another zombie apocalypse. The first one was great for RDR, 8 years ago. But I hope any DLC for RDR2 single player. Has more depth and story then just running around shooting living dead people.

I don't see any problem. The day / night cycle seems to be ok. The fog tends to be a little over the top. Mind you I have never been to Louisiana. And I believe Lemoyne County is based on that state.
