I've contacted Rockstar Support probably ten times since this has happened. I'm continuously getting emails from different Representatives saying that they know the issue is present because others have complained about it. They are unwilling to refund me my $20 and take the gold back out of my account. This in my opinion is a cheap and dirty way to scam people into spending more money on this game. Absolutely unacceptable. I was a big supporter of Rockstar and now over a $20 bill I'm starting to get the hint that they are just money hungry.
I've asked three different times to speak to a manager or supervisor and I'm constantly getting beat around the bush. Shame on you Rockstar you guys are a joke.
Aye you have been scammed by RS. "Better get a lawyer son. Better get a real good one."

Having someone rage over losing money would be part of the fun. Hell I would love to see poker, blackjack in an open lobby. It's not like the raging player could kick the table or start shooting the other card players. If their salty behaviour becomes too much, you just hit the mute player option.

No we cannot win. This game offering for online is broken. RS will argue that the game is still a beta. Then lets hope they fix this, personally I want to see a major change to how the camp works.

Oh your Xbox any who you should be able to call up another horse from your stable. Instead of walking. Just hit the menu where is shows you how many players in your lobby scroll down to stable and there you can rustle up another horse.

Yes we are all having issues with Cripps and the camp site. At the moment the camp site is dead weight. Waste of time and money. Cripps needs to go.

Welcome to red dead online. I suggest you learn to read your map. If you see a player or group of players in an area you want to access. Stop and study their movements, wait till they leave. As for the treasure chests the rewards matches the economy of the game. Something tells me you wont be playing RDO for long.

It depends on the lobby you are in, some are great and you can go about your business. Other lobbies can be toxic particularly around Blackwater and Valentine.

It should be a flat rate or $15-20 for doing a mission. Regardless of deaths or restarts.
I know lol. It's happened to me a lot in the last two days. That tells me Rockstar has nerfed the damn missions. I can handle the poor cash payout because I can make $65 fishing for 25 mins. But getting for example, 53 exp, really sucks.

Rockstar are not saying which sounds dodgy. They have not added anything during this beta period. What I suspect is they just wanted to observe player behaviour gauge what they could get away with and our tolerance for microtransactions. Now we have the store available selling this fools gold. Yeah keep that pause button on mate for a long time.

I think Chief Lung is hallucinating or straight out trolling. Because you cannot have a bounty placed on you. Yes you can be marked for player assassination in one of several stranger missions. But that is a timed event lasting 5 minutes. You get a prompt that you have been targeted giving you ample time to get away with a decent horse.

I have played the original RDR story and online. I have played through RDR2 single player twice now with close to 95% completion 2nd time through. It's great. A fantastic experience.
However for RD Online. The first fews hours were fun. I am rank 44 that is a ton of hours of grinding. I am disappointed with the content. The online game is empty and the missions repetitive. RD Online has embraced GTA online's greed. With the emphasis on microtransactions.
Rockstar have promised all these features next year for RD Online, but I think we are been conned.-

I did one circuit by train from Rhodes back to Rhodes got one achievement "travel 10 miles by train" WTF. I travelled more than ten miles? By my reckoning you would have to do 50 circuits. That is mind numbing and boring.

It doesn't matter they are probably the two best horses in the game currently. So either breed would be a good choice.

Sometimes i just race off and pull them off of their horses myself.
I agree I have had that happen as well. Which is annoying because it costs cash and exp.

Not sure about the best spot - that's where I use YouTube and find out but someone here should know too. I fish for salmon up out of Strawberry.
The best spots have been nerfed. Quaker's Cove was the best. Catch ten in as many minutes. They were the only fish there lol.

Offensive (You're doing the lassoing)
On foot
On foot, you have one major advantage. If you run up on someone while equipped with a lasso, you can just press B (or O) and you're done. This is basically the best method of lassoing while on foot. Throwing the thing just takes too much time, so don't do it unless they have a shotgun.
On horseback
This is a bit trickier, since you have to dismount before you can hogtie, I find it's best to just drag em to death. There is no safe way to approach someone with a lasso on horseback, but if you can get close enough, riding around them in a tight circle will break their auto aim. (Your's too, but at least you're expecting it.)
Defensive (You're being lassoed)
On foot
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. If you have a shotgun, I'd have it ready. You absolutely must kill them before they get close enough to melee. If they throw the rope and catch you, quickly swap to your knife and your character will automatically cut themself free, but you'll need to be quick drawing your pistol or sawed-off if you're going to kill them before they melee tie you. Opponents on horseback aren't all that much of a threat. Just use your knife if they manage to rope you.
On Horseback
Just keep your distance and kill them with a rifle or repeater. It's very difficult to lasso a mounted player.
Other tips
You cannot dodge a lasso with the dive mechanic.
You can actually use the lasso to pull players up cliff faces and lower them down as well. This doesn't work very well on trains.
You can't lasso horses, but you can lasso deer. Reel them in for a knife kill that won't hurt the pelt quality.
You can lasso people who are midway through tying up your friends. It's very convenient.
If someone or something jumps into a river to escape you, jump in after them on horseback and lasso em. You can drag them to shore.
If you equp a sawed-off shotgun before you pick up a hog-tied victim, you can immediately hipfire into their gut if they break free. Just spam RT (R2)

Yeah Sean, James Langton, Shady, Flaco Hernandez and the old hag in the Grizzlies have given me assassination missions. So it seems pretty random. When doing the stranger missions.
It also sounds like you got tagged by a posse. You only have to survive 5 minutes which is easy you just jump on your horse and ride like hell for that 5 minutes. It is worth a trophy as well if you survive which is easy. The one assassination mission I had success. The dude rode straight at me lol. I couldn't believe it, if he had ridden away I would have had no chance.

This is something I plan on doing, but only after some anti griefing mechanics are in place. It's one thing to lose two carcasses to griefing players. It would be quite another to lose a whole cart full.
Rockstar will knock that on the head. They won't sell their fools gold if we are allowed to do sh*t like that. lol.

If i get killed for no reason from a distance or shot in the back.. I reload my rifle and revolver with express rounds and just start killing back and i really can't stop. I'll just keep killing them for hours if i can.
If they are just playful trolls, then i play back. I try not to go too over board and have fun with em.
For me theres a big difference between roof top snipers in town compared to someone who runs up and tries to hog tie or start a fist fight.

If you had actually looked closer. When you click on the horse you want to buy. It actually tells you the rank you have to be, to buy that horse. You made a mistake and it is RS fault?
It says nothing about asking players if they want to buy any horse early. Stop lying! It says you want to use gold to buy this horse. That is assuming you are at the correct rank to purchase.
