I have noticed a lot of posses in free roam. All after that double XP. That RS are offering over the next two weeks. I have been avoiding them. By either going to the other side of the map. Or just hunting, mainly birds and animals I can place in satchel. That way if you are griefed you don't lose stuff!

Sounds like explosive ammo bro ! That stuff is nasty !
Yeah that is what I am thinking. But a lancaster repeater? I put it down as one of those things. You know sh*t happens lol.

I dont only want to complain about bad griefers. Sometimes, it might be exiting to be attacked by other players. For example, when they try to catch you on a mission. So I dont think that a complete ban of pvp would be the best idea. But the system of killing and respawning makes no sense to me, because it causes endless fights. If there are two or three guys who want to kill me, and I fight back and kill them all- theres no reward for the success, because the enemies come back in some seconds and attack me again. When youre in a war of two posses, its not the better team who wins. The looser is the one, who simply lost the nerves, the fun or gets out of munition first.
I think, when youre dead, the fight should be over. Wouldnt it make more sense to respawn on another server? Or to disable people to kill the same person several times a day? Getting killed feels bad, but has nearly zero consequences. I dont see any sense in that. What do you guys think?
This will always create problems. My solution was to grind until I hit rank 90 and got my hands on explosive rounds. Ranking up ability cards is important as well. Don't rely on RS solving this issue. The best way, is for you to find your own solution.

I know there are some using something that is preventing them from getting targeted and taking damage, maybe like out of sync with the game. Not sure. And they are to low for slippery bastard.
How low in rank are they? Slippery Bastard can be bought at rank 50.
As an aside. I was killed by one shot yesterday from a griefer using a Lancaster Repeater. Which left me asking questions. Because my loadout was tier 3, Never Without One, ability card and I also had tier 3, Slow and Steady. I was also was wearing a hat at the time. The greifer was a rank 174 and I was at the time rank 106. But that wouldn't make a difference?

Kinda pointless, this is like comparing a Lamborghini Countach with a Huracan, Countach was an exceptional car in it's time, just like RDR was an exceptional game in it's time. Of course RDR2 is better.
I don't see them remastering any of these. Their focus is now on RDR Online. Would be cool if they redid GTA:SA, that was my favorite GTA game out of them all.
They will, if they believe such a move, will make money. Never say never. When cash is king.

I play games for the graphics and the better they get the better I like them, from Zaxxon, to Goldeneye to Half life, to Crysis, to Veitcong, to cod ww2, to RDR2 has been a heck of a ride.
I love this game so much, I played through the story mode quickly, then replayed it to go slower and find all the things I could, then at 94% complete and story 100% I decided maybe it would be cool to get and play rdr again, its been 10 years, I really never played the story, I tried the game and it was cool, but I never really got into it too much.
I thought it would be cool to keep going with the story and play it now as a sequel, well let me tell you, Rockstar did such an amazing job with rdr2 that it is really hard to go back.Im trying, Ive done a few missions, and I am free roaming, it is neat to find stuff I found in rdr2 while free roaming now, etc.. but all in all I can not get into it, it just lacks so much of what made rdr2 awesome that although I want too I just keep thinking about how great EVERYTHING in rdr2 is compared to rdr.
even picking plants, it is so detailed and specific now, in comparison I am having a tough time enjoying the rdr stuff, I just keep thinking of how much it lacks compared to its prequil sequal release.
I wish I had stuck it out 9 years ago when I had the game on my 360, I think I am going to go for a third play through over playing rdr1.
Honestly I would pay a premium for rdr1 to be redun with the new engine, so it looks and plays like rdr2, I would 110% buy it all over again and play it all over again, there is so much to these games, I just feel like the first game would benefit greatly, more people would play it and the sequel would make a lot more sense.
Anyway just my day dreaming fantasy for today, I cant say enough about this game, it literally took over my winter, I havent played another game in months or left my house unless it was necessary, I opted to stay in from the cold New England weather and play RDR2 until I dropped.
If they added a feature to hang people, to use your lasso for many other things like tree climbing and stuff, I think rdr2 would be perfect.
It is a game changer, I cant imagine playing an open world game any less beautiful than this, I bought far cry 5 and havent even looked at since the day rdr2 was released, I started fc5 but after a day of exploring, I got rdr2 and now it just sits there, my fav game cod ww2 hasnt been touched in 3 months, and that was my daily go to.
Thank you for the awesome game!!
Don't be surprised if RS remasters RDR along with GTA San Andreas, Liberty City or Vice City sometime in the not too distant future. These games are classics.

This is a RS game there are always secrets. If there was a list somewhere. Then I guess they wouldn't be secrets, but you can always try youtube.

I am assuming you have checked your compendium under fish and it is not there. Even if you were eaten by the gator. As you know, the fish should have registered the moment you landed it. Did that happen?
Do you still get the prompt that this area is where a legendary fish lives? When you visit? If you do then that would mean you still need to catch it. If not then I suggest you contact RS.

If you really want R* to know how you feel, why don't you submit your feedback to them on their website?

Lol I have been submitting stuff to RS since the first RDR went online then GTAO, I have given up because they never seem to listen.

That wasn't an "update". These sorts of promotions are common in GTAO and likely will be in RDO too.
Ok so we still only have two updates since the release of RDO. Keep up the good work RS!

stranger missions in the online game are getting worse, failing to show the mission points on the map and no other stranger missions showing even after relogging to the game, Is this being fixed any time soon as its not helping with the exp for players
But hey! RS reduced some tonics by 25% in latest update. lol.
-
Technically this is not a beta. RS have just tagged that word onto the game online.
-
Lol great they reduced tonics by 25%. That suggests 90% of players online, probably don't buy them.

Hi all,
Having recently completing RDR2, I have a few questions that I need answering
- I had the Legendary Arabian Horse throughout the game with Arthur, The horse dies in one of the final scenes as this is a Legendary horse am I able to find it again so that I can have it as Johns main horse.
- Also what happened to all the money at the bottom of the sea is it possible to retrieve it in any way.
Thanks!
I ate my white arabian when I became hungry after the great famine at Armadillo 1900.

I would imagine this is the bare minimum so assuming you are able to get better finds, it would likely run you around 250+ hours... But still, hot damnnn! That is like 10 days irl. I might end up buying gold... lol
That is what I did. I call my black Arabian "three tenners" because that is what it cost me in real cash lol.

To be fair, the only real advantages of reaching level 100+ is experience of taking on multiple foes (dozens and dozens of hours in Showdown PVP), levelling up ability cards which can make or break an issue with griefers and upgrading weaponry to max which certainly helps.
The skills are something you can hone over time but it's not unusual to find the skill set and reaction times of an 8 year old griefer much better than your own!
I'm no spring chicken myself mate. Turned 50 not that long ago so my reaction times ain't what they used to be but still in good enough order to disappoint anyone trying to rob me 😂

I can't pay my bounty cuz its in the part of the map that you only become "not wanted dead or alive" by reaching the epilogue.
Ok you are trying to go into an area that you are not supposed to go. That means you have to wait until you reach the epilogue stage. Then Blackwater, New Austin open up to you.

So I'm Level 41 and I haven't upgraded any of my abilities as I'm waiting for lvl 50 to unlock them all, anyways this is my planned set up and was wondering what you all think of it.
any suggestions and feedback are welcomed, just please explain the pros and cons etc... I am a free aim player so I usually go for Body shots and get the headshot here and there and won't be affected by not being able to lock on, so some of these definitely help my playstyle better
My setup would involve any of these abilities (in no order):
compliments to the RDR2.ORG staff for making these ability card guides so I can copy and paste.
dead eye:
Slow and SteadyThe Slow and Steady Ability Card allows players to take less damage while in Dead Eye, and any headshots you receive will not be lethal. The downside is that it's not possible to sprint and run.
or
Slippery Bastard
The Slippery Bastard Ability Card radically changes Dead Eye, as it prevents players from getting locked on by enemies. As a downside, the user also cannot lock onto enemies. Enemies' accuracy is also reduced, and the Dead Eye bar drains much faster than usual.
Perk 1:
Winning Streak
The Winning Streak Ability Card increases damage for each consecutive shot at the same target.
Perk 2:
Peak Condition
The Peak Condition Ability Card increases damage dealt to enemies if the Stamina bar is at least 75% full.
Perk 3:
Strange Medicine
The Strange Medicine Ability Card restore some health every time the player deals damage to enemies. Normal health regeneration, however, is cut in half.
or
Never without One
The Never Without One Ability Card protects players from a single headshot when the hat is equipped. Damage, however, is increased when not equipping one.
thanks for your help and thoughtful suggestions/feedback.
I have tier 3, Slow and Steady, Peak Condition, Strange Medicine, Never Without One.
I use a bolt action rifle with explosive express rounds. Max damage / one shot kill to body. I call this load out : The Equaliser.

You're absolutely correct. We are not safe in this game, even in our camps. Rockstar screwed up.
But it's a beta.
Here is a video of another player discovering what you have.
Rockstar's game is broken, unsafe and unfair at this point. You have to keep telling yourself "it's a beta."
This video was submitted to Rockstar but I recommend that you also let them know your thoughts at their feedback site
https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback
At this point in this game's history, my suggestion to you is that you try and find some way to play this game so that it makes sense or is fair for you. You can go nuts trying to figure out how some of this game plays right now, especially if you paid attention to what Rockstar said the game was going to be.
But it's a beta.
It doesn't help that Rockstar's updates are so slow in coming and we find ourselves at Rockstar's mercy (and the mercy of griefing players like the ones shooting you while in camp) as we find ourselves waiting for updates to correct much of what is wrong.
Just remember, it's a beta. That's the only explanation you're going to get for the wrongheaded circumstances you'll find yourself in while playing this game at this point. But use the feedback feature to keep Rockstar up to date on what you feel needs fixing.
Did I mention it's a beta?
Beta my ass! Ever hear of a beta that has a store for microtransactions?

I wasnt crazy about the Guarma trip. It kind of killed the western vibe and felt like I was playing any version of Farcry. I would have preferred to have spent that time in Sisika Prison picking up bars of soap off of the shower floor.
I agree chapter 5 felt like an add on. I found the experience jarring because it took you out of the game. My least favourite part of the game.

Same. Bolt Action with explosive gives you max damage. It's a one shot kill. Unless they have the right load out for Abilities. Then it's a two shot. I have found.
