  1. Yeah, this one was a challenge.  I found it spawning a few times north of Tumbleweed and faceplanted a few rocks chasing it across the countryside.

I was so happy I got it, I saved a video.

I spent many game nights riding along the road from the 'T' in "Gaptooth' to Rathskeller Fort and back again (this is the road with the railtrack next to it, not the more southern route). Note the time of day here : 6am.

    Good luck!

  2. Hope you carry on enjoying the game.  It's given me many hours of fun and relaxation.  It's one of those few games that have more to offer the casual/offline gamer more than about 25 hours of gameplay.

  3. The Warhorse is definitely available in the stables in Valentine.

It's slightly misleading as you're not gifted the horse, so it's easy to miss.  You have to buy the horse - although it's at zero cost.

So when you get to the stables, look at the horses for sale and then buy the one that doesn't cost anything.

  4. You should be able to go into the "100% Completion" part of the menus and work out what else you need to complete in order to get the full 100%

Without knowing what's in your remaining 18%, it's kind of hard to help you out.

  5. In terms of playing through the story - no.  I never ran into cases where I had to choose between one tonic or another based on the amount of their effect.

I usually just picked a tonic for the core I wanted to augment and went with it and took another if it ran out (and is required).

There are metrics on how quickly your cores drain over time according to various factors, but the game is very forgiving. Generally speaking, you're fine as long as you have edible (cooked) food and you keep an eye on your core levels and top them up when needed.

Nope, I completed both as John and both as Arthur, so you def can do them both as either character.

Yeah, but you used the exploit to get into New Austin as Arthur, didn't you?

  7. Roger Clark does have a good sense of humour (from watching other videos with him in),  so I wouldn't read too much into that.  From what I recall, only John was able to complete the Dinosaur Lady thing and Arthur could complete the rock carvings by himself...

  8. I just followed the YouTube examples on this one.  I found three enemies, hog tied them, placed them in a row and threw knives into their heads.  I didn't need to use dead-eye.

Occasionally, a headshot with a knife won't kill, so I just kept throwing until they all stopped moving and the challenge pinged.

DeadEye seems to negate some challenges, so I'd recommend the hogtie method for this one - but don't forget that these need to be enemies, not random strangers.

I used the Mark Johnson bounty hunt for this one - if you let him say goodbye to his family, you'll get ambushed by three or four guys - they're pretty easy to wrangle and hog-tie.  Or use an enemy camp/hideout.

  9. Well, you don't really need the predator bait to get the panther.  You just need to be around at the spawn point at the right time.

You don't need to worry about winter clothing if you're only going into the snow for a short period (your cores drain faster, but you just eat more frequently to top them up).

Plants seem to take a long time to respawn, so learn to only pick them when you need them and try not to feed them to your horse if you can help it.

You don't really have to do a lot of the stuff in the game that it leads you to believe.
