  1. Or just use the “report post” on the post in question and type what you want in the box that pops up. That will send a message to all moderators, whoever gets to it first will deal with it.

  2. Yes, the icon for the last one will resolve when you reach completion of this collection.

I wont spoil anything for you. As with the rest of the collection strands, you have to go see the collection giver to complete that part of the story.

  3. Yeah, I did perfect that whole exit the game and rejoin roundabout.  You have to do it pretty quick before the next hand is dealt.  There were a few times when I accidentally throttled someone  instead of joining the game (same button press), which slowed me down.  It's still a slog, even when you use this way of cutting down the inescapable animations.

  4. Yeah, I guess it might be deceptive how a town can slow you down, especially when a wagon gets in the way.  I just avoided all towns.  If I try and hurry through a town, the game knows and usually puts a wagon on a bridge to get in my way.  Same with animals - the game knows what I want and then shows me everything in the encyclopedia except the one that I want.

And cut scenes kill the timer I think.  One run, I camped by mistake.

  5. Find treasure maps, find the treasure, sell the treasure.

Carry on looting (a lot of those loot boxes you looted before the epilogue get refilled).

But mainly the treasure maps, and it's probably better to leave many of those for the epilogue and after if you really want that money.

I completed the game and have about $25K or something.

You don't really need a lot of money though.

I've tried a couple routes.  First few attempts were going from Van horn down to the Lemoyne border, there's a road crossing right before the border, then follow the road west to take the bridge across the Kamassa, then overland west south west to hit the tracks at the western lemoyne border, riding the tracks to Riggs Station, from there up through Strawberry to cut down across Owanjila Dam and over to Blackwater.

2nd route was going west from van horn to the tracks, take them north a bit to cross the river on the tracks, then go west toward emerald station (overland) and then from there to flatneck station (overland) take the tracks to RIggs, then the same path across the dam and to blackwater.

    My route:

Rent a room in Van Horne and start in the evening.  The roads are a bit quieter at night and you don't hit the train going over Bard's Crossing.

    • South from Van Horne and cross the river at the bridge.
    • Swing North at the T-junction and head to the track to the north of Emerald Station
    • West, between Emerald Ranch and Heartland Overflow
    • Join the main road, going through Twin Stack Pass
    • Head Southwest and join the train tracks at Flat Neck Station
    • Leave the tracks at Riggs Station
    • Bypass Strawberry town by taking the bypass to the South and loop Northwest up to Owanjila dam
    • Cross, and follow the only route to Blackwater

I didn't time this route (I spent a fair time in the map at points, planning the next steps), but I had the feeling I did it comfortably, even after riding into rocks a couple of times.

I didn't meet the cougar.  I did meet a Skinner ambush, but rode straight through it.

I didn't bother feeding my horse mid-journey - I just kept stabbing it with potent horse stimulant whenever he started getting tired.

It is not completely random. When I did the bug technique, or simply buying the cards in shops, at the very end I always got a new card for every 3 packs. The odds the get that last card would be 1 in 144, but it was kind of arranged and I finished the collection easily. I don't think going to the specific location of those missing cards is faster, but you are right that buying the packs is much faster.

Yeah, you're probably right there.  I did get a bit bored of button mashing after half an hour or so,

Then I learned the true meaning of patience with the Gambler 8 challenge...

  8. Let me see if I can plot the route I took for horseman 9, hopefully that might help you a bit as I recall you had problems with that. I made it on my third attempt after dying on the railway bridge twice.

However, it really pays to do that as John. I’m guessing you know that though.

Just buy/discard the premium cigarettes- it’s the quickest way of getting a full set.

  9. People say they're going to report you just to troll you, don't worry about it.

If they do report you and R* look at the log data for your session and see that you weren't ghosting, nothing will happen to you (you won't hear anything).  If these guys continually report maliciously, then they'll find themselves suspended for abusing the reporting system.

Basically, ignore it and carry on with your life.

  10. Good places for small birds for me have been at Camp Overlook (after the crew have moved out) - there's birds on the rocks by the path and around the camp site itself.

Also, the rocks around the river crossing to the north of the Beaver Hollow camp has a good assortment (including Robins).

  11. I do indeed...

But yes, I agree that Rockstar with it's fanatical attention to detail would have better aligned the breed stats with the actual horse breeds.  It wouldn't be a programming task, it would have been just assigning the attributes accordingly.  Maybe they did get it right last time and maybe it didn't "feel" right that way for some reason.

I don't know whether it's the same for anyone else, but the breed/stats didn't really matter to me during my gaming - I could easily do whatever I wanted (including races and timed runs) with my war horse.

  12. There are no trophies in RDR2 that relate to headshots.

In the story mode of the game, there's no pop-up count of headshots.  There might be in Online, but not in the story.  You do, however, get a count of headshots per weapon in the weapons part of the compendium, so you can add those up.

In Red Dead Redemption 1, there was Bullseye - Get 250 headshots in any game mode.

  13. I don't think I needed the deadeye trick.  I just aimed and retreated until the aim point went white and then stepped forward.  I just used deadeye to get the headshot to guarantee the kill.

The hardest part of this is finding your enemy.  I just used one of the gang hideouts - Hanging Dog Ranch has plenty of open space around it.

The areas to the side of the river here have plenty of wildlife, so you can complete Sharpshooter 5 here as well (kill 6 animals without reloading), and then you can return to the ranch for Sharpshooter 6 (600ft kill - there's usually a guy on the water tower that you can see and shoot from a mile away).

  14. Yeah, I'm sure there's quite a few places where there's musical/visual/vocal things like this.  I was out at Bluewater Marsh yesterday hunting for owls in the night and clearly heard a church bell.  There's other times where the background music changes or there's a sudden tone that pops up.  I'm sure it's significant, but I haven't worked it out.
