Not to mention, that stupid handyman keeps moving my stupid camp to the opposite of the map. it actually did it twice to me on Friday. Spawned in by St. Denis and he was over by Tumbleweed. St. Denis was a very busy place, so I fast traveled to Tumbleweed. Get there and get a message that the old bastard moved my camp back over to the otherside. So I fast traveled to the closest town. Get there and that stupid idiot moved the camp back. By this point I figured it out. The reason he does it is because if I catch up to him I am just going to shoot him in his stupid face.

I dislike the complete absence of interaction, it makes for an awful atmosphere at camp, and on the nights he's pitched my tent facing outwards, the mangy old muskrat, just awful. I try whistling but it doesn't help really...
There is a part solution by forming a persistent posse, you get to choose your county, I've tied my camp to Scarlett Meadows, where I generally run around in aimless circles having fun and cackling (with the mic switched off thankfully...). It's called Scarlett's Hen Party but I don't imagine anyone else will ever turn up. It'll be just me and him and a bottle o beer. Cheers bigears...
There are times when I've wanted to shoot him just so he'd stop playing that damn harmonica. LOL!😉

I've more or less shelved this game for a bit, Steam had a huge sale for some titles I was interested in but never bought this past weekend, so playing those right now. I'll come back soon enough, just taking a bit of a break while there's nothing new that interests me.
I haven't reached the necessary rank for it, but have been wondering if you can fast travel TO your camp when you unlock it. Would make it so it wouldn't matter to me where it's set up.
You can fast travel to your camp(from another fast travel location) before you buy it for your camp. It's $15 no matter where you're traveling from.

............I might have purchased fast travel at my camp... I regret nothing.
I'm one level shy of unlocking that. I'm waiting to see how much it will cost me in dollars.

Yeah.... Just not happy seeing that the next TU with the changes I've been waiting are slated to release in the "coming months".
Seems I may actually have to shelve this game at some point and then revisit it later when more content (that I want) begins to arrive.
Yeah. They're putting way too much emphasis on gun rush and putting everything else on the back burner.

Well, at least they keep providing us with free gold, so that's a plus.

Funny thing is, when I die from being mauled to death by a bear or a cougar, I don't usually lose the stuff on my horse. It's only when I get killed my another player that I'll lose that stuff.

Meant to quote you.

I'd make my services available on PS4 since I'm usually on during nights and weekends and I'm currently level 64. But I haven't been on in about a week since I also play Diablo 3 and the new season just started there, so I've been working on getting my Crusader back up to snuff.

At level 14, I will be a bit before you unlock a brave horse. Until you can get a new horse, when you see your horse get nervous and slow down, jump off and pull out your shotgun. At least then you have a fighting chance.
A shotgun? I'd rather get mauled to death than ruin a perfect pelt with a shotgun blast. At the very least, use a bolt action or Springfield in self defense as it's charging towards you. At least then you'll have a chance to get a head shot in and preserve the pelt.

Ha. I just kick them. A friend may be logging into the game, so I leave it open for him/her. Someone always seems to jump in before they can. Sometimes they get real pissed when you kick them and attempt to "grief" you. That never ends well for them. Some people take it really personal I guess.
Yup. I've had players kill me for kicking them out of my posse I accidentally left open. I'll just kill them right back tenfold.

Ive already been doing this in free roam lobbies for sometime now. Ive even been shot at by the player ive been protecting before. Lol
Unfortunately it's an easy thing to do in the heat of battle due to the auto lock feature. I've accidentally killed and wounded teammates who weren't in my posse at the time.

I'm on PS4. That is exactly why I will not go into game chat for this or just about any other online game. I go into party chat even if it's just me playing by myself.

I couldn't agree more when it comes to the lack of butcher in the North Eastern part of the map. There's some great hunting up there but no where to sell your hunted produce within Cooee. Why would R* do that?
The only reason I can think of is R* are simply pricks in terms of making it really difficult for you to make money in this game, and they enjoy inciting conflict between players. It cant be an oversight, they have thought this out. lol
From the NE you have to travel to the Valentine butcher, it's not close at all, you will probably be disconnected along the way and lose all you have hunted. But thankfully, if you manage to survive the journey, we cant rest in the fact that Valentine is a friendly town, and once you arrive there you will find little conflict, so you can visit the butcher in peace. lol
I do the majority of my hunting up in the northeast and when I'm done, I follow the train tracks back down south to Saint Denis. Of course I look at my map first and if I see a few players along the route, I might make a few minor detours. If I see Saint Denis is really crowded, I'll forgo hunting there altogether and hunt and fish in the Big Valley area near Strawberry.

I never got the chance to play the original Red Dead, so Hell yeah!
-
I'll lone wolf it if none of my other posse members are on when I am. I won't posse up with randoms even though I constantly get invites to do so.

I try to take extra caution when I've got a valuable carcass like a 3 star buck or cougar on the back of my horse. Anything less than that is easily replaceable.

All you have to do is tap down on the d-pad and it tells you the area you're in, the time and the temperature.

Exactly. They were attacking me (which I didn't have a problem with) alongside the police. That's why I took it as them helping the police out.
I did the same thing on my last mass murder spree. A couple of players were trying to get to me on the rooftops of Saint Denis along with a swarm of lawmen. In addition to getting picked off the rooftop ladder, they got a few sticks of dynamite dropped on their head for their troubles. You mess with the bull, you get the horns.

They should also make it to where we can sell them to crypt, he needs a real function in this game. Make him more like Pearson in SP.
Yeah, once you fully upgrade your tent and maybe add fast travel to your camp, Cripps is useless.

Hopefully in a future update they'll bring the trapper over to online. That would be great since there is one up around that area in SP.

Are you sure he wasn't using slippery bastard which prevents lock on. It would have prevented lock on for him as well, but he could have free aimed you.

The OPs post applies to RDO so unless he picked the wrong sub forum, I am assuming he is talking about online.
I've seen a lot of players doing the Saint Denis shootout with NPCs. There is no doubt about it that it will rack up XP quite quickly and if you use special ammo (e.g. Express), that will also net you additional points (+5 each IIRC).
Personally, I prefer to choose locations that are less frequented by other players but I find the shootout and defense aspect a fun way to break up the monotony at times. As you kill NPCs, the law will follow. This is all part of the game.
Having said that, this will all likely change when they introduce the new bounty system and especially the proximity and color-changing blip indicators. .....but that will depend if or how it applies to NPCs.
I'll only do that tactic when the city is practically empty.

Just doing story mode is more efficent, all this stupid glitch videos are worthless vs playing the game as intended.
What about that is a glitch? Seems to be working as intended to me. Why else would they have a ladder leading to the rooftop?

If a red dot suddenly appears on your mini map and then disappears just as quickly, it's a snake.
