Yeah, I'd try to give them as much detail as possible. if you're not satisfied with their answer then there is a way you can escalate your trouble ticket after the initial reply. I've done it once before.
Can't guarantee it will help but for just a few minutes of your time, it certainly can't hurt to try.

Ok just keep it all as it is now … even if I was reporting the feeling of tons of players that do not like all that...but that just dont feel like reporting it because you guys do not care to listen...
As mentioned, I have nothing to do with the development of the game or the companies involved in making it. RDR2.org is a fan forum, not affiliated with R* or 2K. I was simply joining in the conversation.
If you also want to submit feedback directly to R*, they do have a Beta Feedback site here:
https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892
If you don't want to submit the feedback because you believe they won't listen then so be it. That's your choice.
R* doesn't have an "official" forum so it's nice to have sites like RDR2.org where we can at least discuss topics like these even though what is shared here may never be seen by the developers of the game.

WoW let me just say if the players I met in game were as informative and nice as you guys are here in this board, this game would be awesome.
I cant thank you enough for taking the time to explain these things to me and share with me your experiences and advice, Thanks very much.
I have a lot to learn if I am too keep trying to play,
R* respones was not to respond, have not received a word from them at all.
kind of bummed about that too.
The block thing sounds good, 400?!? lol my goodness man, thats a lot of A holes to deal with.
Thanks for that tip though Ill be looking into that one for sure.
I do have my horse set to me only which is why I was flabbergasted to see it being led away from my camp.
The guy who did it later explained he was leading it away from my camp to pet it!! wtf is that? he did that in hopes I wouldnt understand and then I woudl shoot at him which I did, and of course that ended badly for me.
No worries..... While I wouldn't expect most randoms to be as friendly, there are plenty here that are. .....and I would seriously try to tap into that resource if I were you.
Sorry to hear about the lack of response from R* I'm assuming you went through the Support website and not the Beta Feedback website, correct? Here's the link: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.2861492.54410651.1552419130-1719606522.1525287356
I would submit another ticket if I were you. I have submitted several myself and all but one request was met with a response within an hour or two. The other was the next day. They say to expect a <24 hr wait time. As long as you include the correct email, they should be sending you an automated confirmation and then a notification of reply.
Not sure what happened with the horse then. Griefers find ways around things in this game. Now, I'm not trying to be harsh here but personally, I would have never let them get that close to me. I would have been gone before they were even in range to see me. If (let's say) that did happen to me, and all things being equal, I would have reported them for disruptive behavior, blocked them and simply logged out of the session and into a new one. Deny them the satisfaction which (unfortunately) you fed into.
I can't stress how important it is to have situational awareness in this game. Especially when playing alone. The trick is to let other people be their target. They tend to prey on the easy marks and targets of opportunity. Just don't be one of them.

Looks like I'm sol because I'm on DSL sad because I play elder scrolls online and several other mmos or online games but this is frustrating can even play anthem np.... thanks rockstar!
Did you try R* Support like I suggested? Do you / can you play GTAO without issue? If so, I would tell them that.
There is always a chance the game will be optimized to the point where you can eventually play though. .....assuming it's not some issue / deficiency on your end.

I keep to myself, way away from towns and stuff, if I see activity I crouch down with my horse and wait it out, im just trying to hunt small animals so I can buy a rifle, people just wont let me be.
Fyi.... Crouching doesn't make you invisible. As long as people are within 150 meters of you, they can see you on their radar and will know exactly where you are at.
QuoteI go online, set up a camp go hunting, three red dots follow me to my camp, when there they start running over my stuff, one steals my horse, as I chase them down, the others kill me, then they stay at my camp.
I thought my camp was a save zone?
My white flag is up , doesnt seem to make a bit of difference, why not?
Your camp is supposed to be a safe zone but there are ways that other players can still grief you when your white flag is up.
As far as your horse, open the Free Roam menu and then the Stables option. There are a couple settings in there where you can choose who has access to your horse. If you select “Me Only” then you should be the only one who should have access. You can also disable the option for other players to be able to lead your horse as well.
QuoteI just dont understand how to play.
No manual? no instruction at all? are you kidding me?
This is one criticism I have of R* as they don't tend to publicize features or how some of them work. Every now and again they will publish an article about it and then it's an "ah ha" moment.
QuoteI am broke, level 7 no weapons worth anything, less than $200 and not 1 gold bar, all I want to do is hunt for a bit to get established, but people keep messing with me, and just taking advantage, I dont know how to stop them, I cant compete with my measly weapons and level so it just isnt fun, at all.
I'll give you a few of my own personal suggestions I use.....
- Download the RDR2 Companion app. It's available for both Android and Apple devices. Essentially what this does is provides you with a real time view of the main map that you can zoom in & out on, see other players, objectives, waypoints, etc. It's an excellent tool to help keep an eye on other players, check your routes, etc.
- Take note of where red dots are and stay far away from them. As long as you are not wanted, you won't be visible to them until they are within a relatively close range. This gives you ample time to adjust your route accordingly and/or vacate an area before they arrive.
- Spawn into a region that is furthest (or at least further) away from where you intend to hang out. For example, if I'm going to go hunting in the Big Valley (NW part of the map), then I usually spawn into the New Hanover or Lemoyne. When you choose to join by region, the game seems to load everyone into that same general area. Once you spawn in, you need to call your horse, plot a quick route and get out of the immediate area ASAP. Once away from the are, just keep an eye out for red dots and other players that may wander into your radar range.
- Use the Posse Recruitment sub forum here on this site to find players you can join up with and/or the Posse page. You might be surprised just how many folks are willing to help a new player out and there is always more safety in numbers. IMO / IME, RDO is much more enjoyable and rewarding when playing with friends.
QuoteI reported the main A hole but so what, it didnt do anything, he was still there to terrorize me.
I used my mic, tried to talk to them, see what they wanted, they arent talking, just trying to steal my stuff and kill and harass me.
You also have the option to block them. I don't know how that works on XB1 but on PS4 the option to block will take you to their PSN profile. There you can open the menu item with the 3 dots and choose block. This will supposedly keep them from joining future games with you and in the event one tries to continue the harrassment via messaging, etc., they will not be able to if you have them blocked.
I have literally just under 400 players on my block list. Probably 2/3 of that are from RDO alone. .....most I will (what I call) proactively block. These are people that I notice who are harassing others or acting suspect. Since the title update, I will tend to block most red dots regardless.
QuoteRockstar said if I 2 stepped verification, I would be rewarded, its been three days nothing, I logged in yesterday to a note saying Rockstar gifted me something, but then nothing came, zero, so I just dont get it. no rewards at all, I really need them, but I cant get an answer from filling out a support ticket and the game tells me nothing.
There is a way to escalate your Support ticket if you don't like the response provided by the initial interaction. What was their response btw?
QuoteFor Pete's sake, I have what looks liek 2 camps set up, I dunno how that happened, but I go to one of them, and nothign works, I cant get mail or orders or whatever, I dont know why it is even there, or when I decided to set it up why didnt my other one come down?
The camp icon colors are a little confusing now. There are two different shades of blue. After the TU, I was confused by this as well.
If you are on PS4, hit me up, I don't mind spending a session showing you the ropes and helping you hunt. My PSN name is Kean_1.
EDIT: Just saw your reply that you're on XB. Still, I would look for some company in that sub forum I mentioned.

I have learned that you were correct that this was the wrong place the post this, because I have found that these fans are too Rah rah cheerleaders, I specifically didn't want to post it anywhere else because I didn't want critics to take my post and run with it I actually wanted to talk about it with people who enjoyed the game but obviously people can't have any negatives with their 100% positive!
The only thing that I have learned from this post is that I do not play like other people as I have been repeatedly told quote you wouldn't want to do that or you wouldn't want to do that or you wouldn't want to do that that's dumb meanwhile I never even considered feeding somebody to win alligator or putting somebody on the train tracks until I saw a different post. Not Everybody Plays the same and I saw this may be a forum for that it clearly was not.
.....and btw, this was precisely why I responded the way I did about not wanting to get into this discussion with you. When you asked for our opinion, I had a feeling what you really wanted was reinforcement of your point of view. ....and when people questioned and provided counter arguments to your points, you conveniently pull the fanboi card which is somehow supposed to diminish their legitimacy I guess. It's dismissive regardless and as I said at the beginning, really pointless to argue in that case.
What puzzles me though is that you seemed receptive to the open and honest responses (even admitting they may be right in some respects) but then call them out as cheerleaders? ....ok then.

Have you opened a trouble ticket with R*?
Not everyone is experiencing disconnect issues or if they are, the frequency in which some are seeing. I'm not sayin it's not an issue as I've had them myself (albeit rare), but you need to make sure to submit a report to R* Support if you want them to know about your case.
I'm not making any guarantees they'll fix it for you but you really have nothing to lose by doing it.
Welcome to the forums by the way.

i wouldn't use dead eye on groups like that, but that's just me, each play their own way. It's fairly simple to get a headshot, aim, tap the left stick up and shoot. headshot every time unless they're moving or move when you fire.
Personally, I never use Dead Eye in this game nor potions or food to bolster my character's abilities. As for taking out large bands of enemies, when on foot, cover is where it's at. Shoot from cover and remain in cover. When on horseback, I will circle the area making sure to keep moving and adjust my distance. I will then dismount when needed to finish them off
Don't let yourself get surrounded. Watch the minimap and flanking maneuvers. When possible, engage from a distance.
Quite frankly, the auto-aim really makes engagements a no-brainer. In a sense, options like this are really the difficulty setting in this game. I have mine set to a low sensitivity and find that works best as I feel at its strongest it can be too controlling.

RED DEAD ONLINE BETA: SPOILS OF WAR OUT NOWNEW SHOWDOWN MODE PLUS LIMITED TIME CLOTHING ADDED TO THE CATALOGUE

As we continue to add to and evolve the Red Dead Online Beta, we will keep expanding on and improving our Showdown Series. These player vs. player modes are tight, dramatic competitive matches that allow for quick structured gameplay sessions as well as being a great way to complete combat-based Daily Challenges. This week's new addition to the Series is Spoils of War - a frontier take on capture-style multiplayer. You can launch this new mode using the Featured Series tile in the Red Dead Online Beta launch menu, via the Quick Join option in the Player Menu or by navigating to the Featured Series signpost on the map.
In Spoils of War, 2-16 players compete in this team-based mode to defend their stockpile and raid each other’s. Each team must steal loot from their opponent's base and return it to theirs, while defending their own stash. Whichever team steals the most by the end of the match wins. You can take on this new Showdown mode across a variety of locations including Fort Mercer and Valentine.
As added benefits this week, you’ll get a 20% XP boost on all Showdown Modes and winning one Spoils of War match will earn you an extra bonus of 8x Dynamite Arrows that you can retrieve from the Post Office or your Camp Lockbox.

The Tasman Outfit
In its quest to offer the very latest and best in frontier supplies, the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue will be updated regularly as goods come and go. As you browse the Catalogue from week to week, select clothing from inbound shipments will be marked Coming Soon. When available, these same items will be marked as Limited Stock. If you see any items marked as Out of Stock, be sure to check back in future weeks as these items are sure to return again.
Starting today, sellers have received their first shipments of rare clothing that will only be available for a limited time. This week, look for a pair of new outfits as well as a few other garments and accessories:
- The Tasman Outfit (Male only)
- The Danube Outfit (Female only)
- Tied Pants
- Hitched Skirt (Female only)
- Winter Shotgun Coat
- Gardenia Hat
- Squat Stovepipe Top Hat
As we progress through the Beta we will work to improve Catalogue functionality and organization, while adding new items with unique flair that will regularly rotate through the shops.
We’ve also made a few updates to the official Red Dead Online Beta Feedback website, where you can now leave us your thoughts on Spoils of War as well as general feedback on Controls via this page. As always, your feedback is appreciated and vital to helping us tune the Red Dead Online Beta as it grows and progresses.

Hi Kean,
Don't take our comments too personally. We all know your doing your utmost
best in quick responses, suggestions etc. Keep on doing that👍
We really thank you for your efforts!! 😀 😀
I did send many feedback to R*, but got never a reaction besides a monthly update; that's my comment.
This is the only formel RDR2-forum in which we can express our joint feelings and comments. That's why we all react in our own way and common care about quality improvements and suggestions for RDR2 (online).
I appreciate that but when I have to come into this thread to justify simply trying to help people, that's kinda sad don't ya think? I wasn';t making any garauntees, trying to stifle input, etc. ....just the opposite.
I pretty much summed it up early on in this thread:
On 2/16/2019 at 12:58 PM, Kean_1 said:I know some will never trust R*, question their motives, etc., but they have mentioned several times that they are looking for community feedback to help them develop RDO and made just as many comments to remind folks that this beta is a true work in progress.
Folks can complain, discuss their hopes, criticize the direction of the game, etc. but it means nothing unless they make their voices heard. It's great to have those conversations here and the site encourages people to do so but R* is providing their fans with (what I believe) is a rare opportunity to help make a difference by submitting their feedback while the game is still being developed. They even established a dedicated site for this feedback.
Obviously, not everyone will get to see their own suggestions come to fruition in the game but IMO, I still think it's worth taking a few minutes out of your day and submitting them.
Regardless of how some folks feel about it, the coming anti-griefing measures are a perfect example of how this input has had a direct affect on changes in the gameplay mechanics. ......and it shouldn't stop there as people will (and should) continue to provide their input on how they feel such changes improve or hamper the game.
Doesn't matter how people feel about topics on gameplay in RDO, everyone has the opportunity to voice their opinion on that website and I believe they should take advantage of that.

@Kean,
I understand your comment, but I hope you understand that from a player point of view your suggestions etc. feels like sending them into a "blackhole". There is no transparancy/backlog in what's usefull, scheduled or not!
Then don't send your your feedback in. I don't get the dilemma. It's just a suggestion not a door I'm closing in people's face.
RDR2.org is not affiliated with R*. I'm referring them to the website R* has provided to submit their bug reports, suggestions, complaints, etc. in addition to them sharing what they want with folks here.
Look, I'm not making any garauntees but if folks are going to put in the effort to describe a bug or share their ideas about things they want implemented / changed, etc., they may also want to take 1 minute of their time to submit it to R* as well. If it makes a difference, then great. If not then no harm done, right?
Im not dismissing their complaints, ideas, etc. by making the suggesting. Quite the opposite.
Personally, I don't view it as a "black hole". As I mentioned, there are things they have implemented that we're direct results of player feed back. Now, did they implement exactly what everyone wanted or the way they wanted it? Of course not. R* will still use their experience, vision and goals to to influence the direction they wish to take the game. IMO, we should also let them know how we feel when we think they missed the mark.
I'm not happy with a lot of the decisions they've made and I'll continue letting them know how I feel. .....but then again, if you don't want to then don't. Simple as that. I'm simply trying to give people constructive alternatives here. ....or maybe that's the problem.

Welcome to the forums @FREE SMOKE.
Be advised that we don't allow naming and shaming on this site. You can read the forum rules here:
If you are looking to form a group, our Posse Recruitment sub forum would be a better place to do that .....but again, please don't call others or thier groups by name and please be respectful in your posts to others.
If you find others using racial slurs, etc., please use the report feature in-game or other appropriate channels.
Thank You.

I set it up yesterday and then played for a few hours, I saw it tell me I had been gifted by Rockstar, but never saw anything show up, I havent logged in today yet, but as of last night when I logged off, nothing.
I think mine came that night or perhaps the day after. After I saw the screen I noticed the increase in GB when I entered the session.

The loot / study feature? Not that I recall.
As for pushing the wrong buttons, again, my point is that it's not a problem everybody has although some seem to struggle or be on a steeper learning curve than others. Like most games, it takes a few minutes for me to get used to the controls / UI but once I get into it, I'm fine. ......whether that's a new game or one I haven't played a while.

Seems there's mixed signals on this. We had a discussion here where another member had been in contact with Sony. They got different answers but then connected to someone who seemed to know what the were talking about and mentioned that it did work in matchmaking. Some if the previous reps even said there was a limit of only 100 blocked users when I knew that simply wasn't the case
I'm not doubting your experience and maybe it really doesn't work that way. I've heard someone else say the same. For me, out of the 300+ I've blocked I haven't run into one that I have previously done so. That could simply be a matter of numbers and chance though.
Anyhow, I'll continue to do so if for anything to prevent them from connecting with me on PSN, sending msgs, and generally trying to harass or contact me outside of the game as some have done in the past.
Thanks for sharing that though. Folks should know that this may not be a garauntee.
