Back to the original point for a moment:
Shops that sell clothes now have a wardrobe/changing room that function the same as the one at camp for managing outfits. You go to the clothes hangar on the map.
Doesn't actually solve the problem, but at least it saves you from a game of "Chase the Cripps" across the map.
I actually think that this addition is one of the unsung heroes of the recent update.
Yeah, this is a good point. I discovered this last night.
Another thing that was a pleasant surprise is that you're also able to open your catalogue while on horseback.

was posted here in the online discussion forum... you say moved, I say buried... difference of opinion
makes me wonder how many other topics a mod didn't agree with were "moved", "buried" or simply deleted
Seriously nshanny? You really think that of me or one of the other mods here?
I told you why one of the other mods moved it. If you're going to accuse us of purposely deleting content, etc. simply because of a difference if opinion, I think we're done here.
.....unbelievable.

confused however as to why you're burying my "Valid Points" post in someone elses post??
It's not being buried. If it was elsewhere then another mod likely moved it into that thread to tidy up the forum.

Can someone please explain to me how I can set my outfit that I load into a session with?
I'm currently experiencing an issue whereby my "stored on horse" outfits disappear whenever I launch a new session. My default includes a warm weather jacket and gloves, which effect my health core drain when in warm weather locations, as 95% of the map is.
Just getting sick of having to go to camp everytime I load up to change outfits.
It's a bug that has persisted since the start of the beta for some including myself but seemingly made worse after the update. You should report it like I did.

On the topic of submitting feedback to R* that @dIV4r suggested, here is the link in case you're interested:
https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892
There is a 500 character limit but there is no limit on the amount of times you are allowed to submit feedback on that website. ....so breaking it down may be your best bet.
Either way, suggestions are always welcome (and encouraged) to be shared here to spread the word, bounce off others, start a discussion, etc.

It's certainly not perfect but I think some folks are not aware of the advanced option in the character creation menus. I know I wasn;t and even recreated my character early on after release of the beta.
Either way, this is certainly something they may decide to revisit which would likely bring an opportunity for folks to personalize their characters for free. I also suspect they might allow multiple characters at some point like they did in GTA but we'll have to see.
-
GTA gives players the ability to change the look of their character. ......but it's for a price. However, they have a couple times over the course of the game allowed players to change their character for free.
I suspect at some point R* will do the same in RDO.

Love getting those missions from Sean.
Some of the ones from "the Boy" are pretty fun too although I feel like beating him to a pulp. ......and Shaky for that matter. It's like talking to a tweaker.

I agree @The_Liquor.
Sure, games have become more expensive. ......to make. Game prices on the other hand have remained relatively unchanged for years.
AAA game companies have a responsibility to their customers but they also have a responsibility to their shareholders. This is a business. A business that needs to make money but also needs to appeal to its consumers. You can't do one without the other. If consumers were not buying the product and continuing to play, these games would not continue to exist.
Online games are moving to a GaaS model. A model that relies on MTXs to survive. In R*s case, these are MTXs that are not P2W based but essentially all cosmetic. The more people you can get to play your online game (including those that never buy MTXs), the more money the company stands to make, the more content they are able to release and the longer they are able to sustain it.
The fact is that R* has one of the most successful GaaS models to date with GTAO. If I had to put my money on the doom & gloom'ers or R* on RDOs success, I'll take R*. Now, that doesn't mean that I won't agree with everything they do in the game. Hell, I may even shelve it at some point. .....but I can't buy into the implications of many of these opinion pieces, articles, etc. that RDO is on a path to failure because some people can't accept that the game is in beta and continues to be a work in progress. ....something R* & 2K have been very clear about since before release.

As far as posse I don't want to join one yet. I was leader/officer at other games for 4+ years and it is time consuming and people management. I'm not anti social, Just want to see if I can make it on my own, play at my own pace.......
Not all posses are structured like that. There are plenty of folks who have established a pool of players that they game with on a casual level. I know I do. If someone is on we see if we can join and do what activities the group wants to do. Sometimes it's just me, sometimes just a friend and other times a full party.
1 minute ago, Dissention said:......and bail if they don't fix the bugs or start making it a P2W cash grab with super OP guns and stuff.
The Gold Bar system is essentially all cosmetic items. R* has already said that is what the system will be and I don't see that changing anytime soon. We have no reason to assume they will begin to lock more powerful weapons, etc. behind a paywall. Pay to shortcut is one thing but P2W is not the route R* is interested in going in their GaaS model.

All of the above except the part where it involves griefing others or being griefed. ......and no, I don't consider it "griefing" during missions, assassinations or even random encounters gone bad.

Like Keane said I doubt they will wipe accounts completely but I do believe the cash that was made will be taken back we shall see.
Yeah, I definitely can see them wiping profits made by exploits.

Can we publically list off troll/griefer usernames? I have a handful that I am tempted to share here so if anyone crosses them, they know to avoid them like the pox. This one dude and his 2 buddies were getting off on screwing over some lower level new players and I stepped it and it probably wasn't a good idea. lol Just pisses me off when I see level 100+ players picking on small fries.
As tempting as that may be, we can't condone what we call "naming & shaming" here for several reasons. ....one being is that it's against forum rules (sorry).
However, as I have recommended many times before, I suggest folks block and report (when appropriate) those that have shown disruptive behavior.

I would like some more people who tried to fight back, and reds are those people usually. Was it with this update today or upcoming? If today I'll see if it works like intended.
It was supposed to be in the last update IIRC.

Hello, I just went into a free roam and then to a post office and no care package.
Is this ready to go now or later?
Thank you
"and this week all Red Dead Online Beta participants will receive a special care package (redeemed either at your camp’s lockbox or at any post office across the five states) as a show of our appreciation. "
There was no specific time mentioned. I'm assuming folks will begin to see these items show up in their stock within the week though.

I highly doubt R* will reset everyone due people taking advantage of an exploit. The only way that is going to happen IMO is due to a dramatic change in the game that requires it and plugging such exploits likely wouldn't require that.
They will either just fix it and let things be or penalize those who used it if they can.
Either way, exploits are nothing new. .....nothing new to full title releases let alone this beta.

Hey Fox,

As far as why you get targeted, it's random person who's closest. Doesn't matter your honor or bounty. If it did that'd be nice, but as it isn't oh well.
After the update, R* announced that the assassination missions would have more of a chance of targeting players who have been involved in bad deeds. .....red blips.
Personally, I think this is great but I honestly believe they could do even better with this mechanic if they address the self-defense issue.
IMO, everyone would win as "red dots" are likely to welcome the challenge and white hats would probably like the chance to hunt them down with a reward as a bonus. The only people I could see getting miffed are some griefers but for those who say they prefer the PvP element in Free Roam, I think they would see this as a challenge.
....or make it an opt-in choice for people when they join a session.

Hi @HOTSKIP and welcome to the forums.
Thanks for sharing your ideas. I would also suggest that you and others here (who would like to see such additions) to submit your requests through the R* Beta Feedback website they have set up:
https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892
While it's great to talk about it here (and we encourage you do so to help drive awareness, grow ideas, etc.), that site is the only official means of getting our suggestions, concerns and bug reports to R*.

What I found discouraging was that you would even think this :
"makes me wonder how many other topics a mod didn't agree with were "moved", "buried" or simply deleted"
Of course I would give the benefit of the doubt as to why it was moved there. .....because I wouldn't for a minute think one of the mods would do it out of spite.
How about this.... We don't "move, bury or delete" things simply because we don't agree with them. I think that's pretty clear cut.
