I agree with OP i would like to see gun on each hip, also cool video but id like to see him draw and hit a target it just look's like the gun's gone off before it's aimed

    Peace

just watched it again with volume on so sorry my post is totally wrong 🤐

Who knows about the dude in the video.  He may not be able to hit crap with his right hand either.  ;) I know I can't really hit much with my left / weak hand but then again, I don't really train for it like some folks do.

  2. Hi Ragee,

I'm in the PST zone as well and wouldn't you know it, I'm also past the half century mark too.  .....although you have a few years on me.  ;)

There's a group I started in the Posse section that was made specifically for folks like us.  I also have a Community on PSN named "Red Dead Redemption 2 - TeamUp" aimed at the same kind of people.  You're also welcome to send me a friend request on PSN (gamertag is the same as my member name here; Kean_1).  The only thing I prefer is that folks use a mic when we play as it's really difficult (and annoying to be honest) trying to text back and forth in the game.

I also don't troll people but will certainly shoot first in my own defense if warranted.  .....but like you, I usually just try to avoid confrontations.

    When I'm on, it's usually around 8PM.

    Regards,  Kean

If they offered a DLC for online players  to replay story missions with our online characters, would you buy it?  I'd be all for this.

Much rather be able to co-op in the campaign to be honest.

......but yeah, maybe I'd be interested although I don't see them offering a "for purchase" DLC in RDO (only for the campaign if there ever is one).  The things they do add to online will likely always be offered to everyone as part of the experience.  GB MTXs are what will be driving RDO into the future.

  4. The idea of a cross draw holster "normally" is that you can draw it with your dominant hand.  The idea behind carrying two side arms (e.g. one crossdraw and the other on the hip) is typically so the wearer has a backup that they can access (again) with their dominant hand to help keep them in the fight.  That's practical IMO.   ......the whole idea of dual wielding is not but then again, we're talking about RDR which isn't that serious about what's real vs. fun (Hollywood).

Aside from all that, I agree that they should allow for various ways to wear you weapons.  I think it would be cool to mix it up and a way for people to express more individuality with their characters.  Maybe add two hip holsters, reversed/cross draw hip, shoulder holster, etc.  Probably too much work for them bother but perhaps worth it if they make some of the new setups Gold Bar exclusives.

Anyhow, just for kicks and giggles......   Here's a random video I found with someone demonstrating weak hand draw with a cross draw holster just to show that it can be done as an option if needed.

Absolutely!   The animation for that front holster looks so awkward

Yeah, it was poorly done although IIRC if you choose to holster while dual wielding using the "fancy" option (double click), it will show you holstering a similar way like in the video which I thought was cool the first time I saw.  .....but when you just normally draw or holster while dual wielding, it's awful.

@WRESTLiNGHDD hate to give the stupid response, but is your system connected to the internet? That's the only thing I can think of to help...

    It's actually a valid point.

There is obviously some disconnect with the information being fed to his Social Club account.  Not knowing how or when that data transfer is occuring, etc., who's to say.

  6. Not sure what help we can provide here for you if it's an issue with their website or your R* SC account.  RDR2.org is not affiliated with R*.

Unless a member here has some inside knowledge into a solution, then I think your best bet is to continue to pursue solutions through R* Support until you get an answer or someone willing to try to find one for you.

I wish I had an answer for you.

Getting pretty tired of dudes calling my mother this and that, telling me to do.... what the blip is wrong with people ?  If this is a sign of things to come then i am doubtful i Will play on

I would urge you to use the in-game "report" feature.  There is one description that covers abusive / racist language. That (I believe) gets reported to Rockstar.

I would also encourage you to go to the player's profile (there is an in-game link) so you can block them.  .....that takes you to their profile within the PSN.  This will also stop any continued harassment outside of the game but if someone is dumb enough to message you using the PSN feature before you are able to block them, then report them to Sony right away.  They will see the message as proof of harassment, language, etc. and will take action.

Other than that, I would suggest muting everyone except those in your own posse if it's overwhelming.

I hope there isn't a cap like this on Xbox. After the call of duty franchise I've probably got 10,000 blocked on my Xbox. lol Not that I have any idea how to check it..

Well, as I mentioned, I've got 200+ blocked players on my PS4 list and counting. ....so I'm unclear where those Sony reps got the 50 or even 100 limits from.

I don't know if they still do it, but some companies used to hire people to surf the internet and follow the forums and what not.  Just so companies would know what was actually being said.   I imagine that you could have computer programs do that now.

They still do. Some even hire community representatives that help interact with their fans on various social media (e.g. Reddit, Twitter, etc.) incldung forums. Essentially gathering feedback, organizing it and reporting that information back up the food chain.

Even product manufacturers do this. In the tech company I worked for the past 30 years, we had a department where one of their responsibilities was to follow such activity without participation unless it was via our own forums. I would be surprised if R* didn't do the same on some level even if it we're just minitoring.

    This is crazy...

I logged onto my Pro. I am able to add people there.

I went back to my computer to see if the people were added and the number is now up to 56.

But I tried to block another person using PSN computer access and it would not go. I went to my Pro and was able to block the person. And it then showed up (57) on my PSN computer browser access.

It's as if the PSN computer browser access won't let me add anything over 50 but the console will. Very odd. Also odd that the Sony people weren't more familiar with this. Guess I'll be doing an online chat to get info on this too.

I plugged a USB keyboard into my Pro and it's making it easy to re-input those names that didn't go in before.

Thanks for the info on your over 50 list.

Ah....   Maybe that's what they were talking about then (limited to 50 in that case).  .....although that doesn't really make sense.

Anyhow, glad to see you can still block more than 50 on your console.

    Let's talk about this.

We appear to be talking about different things. You're talking about a port of a game from a previous generation to another. What I'm talking about is them using the very SAME map from RDR2, then add the motion captures and the voice overs from the original RDR to the RDR2 engine. The only thing they'd really have to do is re-create the specific characters from RDR that Marston interacts with, and perhaps make a few tweaks to the towns to update them to the 1911 timeline.

But I agree with you - attempting a PORT of the original RDR to the current console generation would be a calamity. But again, since they have the entire map updated and recreated, there'd be no need to port it.

    Yeah, my misunderstanding.

I don't know how feasible it would be but sure, I'd be interested in that.

Let us not forget the epic round-the-clock scramble the poor folks at R* went through to hit their release deadline of RDR2. Had they finished early and had extra time, I'm sure that conversation (release an updated RDR with the new map before releasing RDR2) would have taken place. But up until zero hour before release, they were 100%+ swamped. There would have been no time for such a thing. That's why I think now is the right time to think about it.

Perhaps so.  All I'm saying is that it would have been nice sometime in those past 5 years since the latest gen of consoles released to offer a remastered RDR1.  I have a feeling it would have been quite popular and maybe even warranted its own resources.  .....but that's all a moot point now.

Just tried to re-block two more people thru PSN. I'm logged into my PSN account on my computer. The same 50 people are there (listed alphabetically from A to Y), it would not add the other two.

I spoke with Sony people both in online chat and by phone and they both acknowledged that only 50 could be blocked and that they would have to put in a suggestion for more.

I'm curious, were the people you added reported or just blocked?

I'll try to do it from my console later but definitely I can't do it from my computer.

Edit: And I am subscribed to a PS Plus account. I'll do some more investigating on that too.

    Same here (PS Plus)

I am checking from my console in the PS4 menu.  These are people listed in my blocked list.  ....the list you get to by pressing [options] and then "blocked players".  When I select a player from the list, the next screen shows an option to "unblock" that person.

btw, I see a couple players I just blocked the other day so I know it's still adding new ones.

  13. I voted yes but I guess it depends on what they would deliver in a remastered version.

Hell, I bought GTAV again when they ported it over to PS4 but even with the graphics upgrade and the population increase, etc., it was essentially based on the same foundation they had from PS3 in regard to the mechanics, etc.  I guess the thing with GTAV was that it came out early enough in the PS4s life cycle that it still felt like an upgrade.  If GTA6 was already out and they released a remaster of GTAV, I wouldn;t ever bought a PS4 copy of GTAV.

IMO, R* missed a golden opportunity to make RDR1 a remaster before RDR2s release.  If you would have asked me this question months before RDR2 hit the shelves, I could tell you with 100% certainty that I would have bought it.

I choose free aim but I haven't noticed if it puts you in sessions with other free aim players. I know RDR has this as an option where you could enter a free aim session. did they do they same with RDR2 but does it automatically?

From what i understand, it's simply a personal option just like the sensitivity settings for auto aim, FPV vs. TPV, etc.  Everyone gets put into the same generic Free Roam session regardless of what their settings are.

PSN only allows you to block 50 people. Well, me any way.

fyi....  I just got finished checking my blocked list and I have over 200 players.  I also checked in several spots on list as I scrolled through the names and for each that I did, they were still blocked.  .....although the last 56 looked like place holders as there is no longer player information in those boxes.

My list is in alphabetical order and stops after "Si".  Seems half of the S's and thru Z are still there but simply blank.  .....not sure what that's about. Maybe I'll try to block someone in that alphabet range to see what happens.  190 blocked players are still visible though.

Anyhow, are you saying that you can only see 50 on your list and that Sony confirmed that's the limit?

  16. Hi Spiteful and welcome.

A couple things.....   First, I wanted to let you know that RDR2.org is not affiliated with Rockstar or Take Two Interactive.  This is a fan site, so when you say "your game", it isn't really our game.

Having said that, I will provide a link below where you can contact R* directly with your feedback:

    https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892

Please note that there is a 500 character limit when providing feedback so you'll likely need to submit your suggestions piecemeal.

Either way, there's no problem in sharing these ideas for discussion with fellow community members and in fact, participation is encouraged.  I just wanted to make sure you knew that what you post here won't necessarily reach R*.  You'll have to go through their feedback site to ensure that.  ....and the more of us that do, the more likely it will be that these ideas can become reality.

  17. ...by the way.  I forgot to mention but a chunk of the folks in this group are from the UK and other parts of the world as well.  I believe some of our friends from across the pond have joined up together through the group.  I occasionally play with someone from Hong Kong (they speak English).

If another player is near your horse, that will also save your  pelts. Honestly, there really doesn't seem to be anything set in stone for this. Me and a friend both died from an allergic reaction to dynamite. When we got back to our horses, I had my pelts and he did not.

Ah, ok.  That could be it.  My friend was closer to my horse when I died and respawned than I was.

I really wish R* would provide more details on the mechanics of the game.  They release information about such things in spurts ever since the game released.  .....much of it surprising me because I never knew certain things had an affect or operated in that way.

Hey bro I will join your community today When off work. You have a good thing going here. I have a posse and ride with many others but seems like you've made the place to be. Always available as a hired gun too ! I'm on ps4 and play on est. Salute !

    You're more than welcome.

I havent played with many in the group but it's simply a resource that can be used to try and gather more friends so there is a better opportunity to find folks online when you play.

Feel free to use it to try and form a regular posse, etc. I figure, the more people we get on board, the better chances folks have with finding players to join.
