Yeah, the BBB is really an empty threat as Chris mentioned. It really makes no difference as they hold no power in these matters.
I would would simply be persistent in your complaints to R* Support.

Sad really, going around messing with low level people.
Yeah, it is.

If you're going to farm lawmen do it with some class. There is no skill gained by farming mindless NPCs from a roof top, ledge, wallbreach etc. Farm the bounty hunters on horseback with you also on horseback. More XP, more challenge, and you actually learn something.
I never thought much of the "skill" in RDO gunplay anyhow given the auto-aim mechanics, etc. Besides, it's simply not the kind of game I care about gettin' gud at or taking that seriously.
All I know is that shooting up a town from a rooftop is sometimes just a lot of fun and my friends enjoy it too. Kind of like an Alamo / defense mode. When we get bored of that, we move on.
We do all that other stuff too like engaging posses on foot or horseback, fending off trolls, gang hideouts, etc. It's just nice to mix it up once in a while since there really isn't anything we haven't already done in this stage of the beta.

IIRC, the time is already displayed in the option menu regardless but if it isn't I still wouldn't bother buying it as you can pick one up at some point simply by looting bodies. ......unless the catalogue watch is providing some other unique benefit I'm totally missing.

Ya, i am doing that as well. But i like using a bow from time to time and that makes me using one slot with variable weapons where i have to take care for the right ammo.
Gotcha

I created this posse back in June 2018 for players who prefer cooperative, respectful and fun gameplay. For folks who are easy-going and like to work as a team, help slower/newer players out in the group, etc.
If you're as tired as I am of dealing with trolls, griefers or some of the rude, obnoxious, self-important players that plague online games, feel free to TeamUp.

You can use this community as a resource, a group of "friendlies" that we all can tap into so we don't have to brave the RDR2 Online gameworld alone. I also have a Community on PSN named "Red Dead Redemption 2 - TeamUp" so please feel free to join on there as well if you wish.
With all the folks I see asking to join posses to avoid being vulnerable, I thought I would advertise here in the Recruitment forum as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions. This is not a clan or a group that requires any kind of commitments, etc. Just a pool of players you can tap in to.
Regards, Kean

This is why I don't play online...I'd be mutilated constantly!
I've been playing since day one and to be honest, I don't believe I've ever been the victim of one. First, folks can only carry 10 of them. Second, from what I hear they are very expensive.
I would rather not see something like this in the game at all but at least it's to the point where I believe most would use it as a "last resort" vs. just for indiscriminate killing of other players. .....and if they do, I'll wager that is pretty rare.

Thanks to all the posse members, I have enjoyed my time here but its time for me to move on. Till we meet again online, adios :))
Sorry to see you go Red. I hope that doesn't mean you'll be leaving RDO all together. Just know you're always welcome here.

At level 3. You also take less body shot damage with a hat on.
That makes sense then.
Do you know if the damage you take without your hat increases at level 2 & 3?

Glad to see the group on here and the PSN Community growing. Welcome all.

On PS4 try; Free roam menu/online options/social matching/ on or off
Thanks. I'll try that. I thought that option was just to attempt and match you with friends sessions but I'll see if it works (to exclude randoms) next time we try to join a story mission.

not high enough yet, all other ammo i can find in the game so i can use it. 😁
Ok, I see.
Yeah, Express ammo makes a decent difference in the damage stats for your weapons.

Yea, if I remember right that's not to far.
You're right. It's pretty close and on the side of the town where the butcher is where I died.

As I've said in another post, the following are suggestions i have for any future expansions or when online leaves beta;
Hope you're submitting these to R*. Just a word of caution however, they have a 500 character limit so you'll need to break it up into chunks and make multiple entries.

Yea, i have been using special ammo on my revolver, shotgun and rifle ever since i bought them. Special ammo is easy to come by for those, just missing my special ammo for the lancaster.
I really need to look into the ability cards though.
You're having trouble obtaining or equipping Express ammo for your Lancaster? ....a bug?

Make sure you're providing your suggestions / concerns directly to R* during this beta through their website:

Hell No! Cause then it is a matter of time before it would be put into the game and then we'll have players flying over and dropping dynamite out of the door. No Thanks!
As an Easter egg, yeah....... Then again, I can see the next request would be those who want it to be in the game.
I'd be ok without that idea being planted in some players heads.

Forgot to mention that I did respawn manually once trying to see if that would help get a side mission to engage and lost what few pelts I had on my horse. No big loss as there weren't many and not worth much.
Seems to be no discernable pattern that I've noticed as to what determines when you will lose or retain what's on your horse when killed.

Pelts are not reliable at the moment. Feels like it’s getting worse too. Now after 3 they start bugging. Look like they sell sorta but no money. Pretty sad it’s still an issue.
Yeah but his point is about being griefed by campers at the butcher and sometimes losing everything.
I have issues too with not getting paid for all my pelts (didn't notice it getting worse though). .....but I still get decent money for what I do turn in including the 3 carcasses I usually have strapped to my horse.

How does me killing policemen make others have less fun?
I think he took your mention of killing players who were trying to "help out" the law as being victims of indiscriminate killing by you.
I was assuming you're talking about players who are targeting you from the get go. .....seeing it as an opportunity to engage in a gun battle with you.

While you can carry 200 rounds each, you have to make sure to have the right ones selected all the time. I am not sure if this is a bug or feature but once i am selecting my bow to go for a hunt, i need to select the right ammo once i'll put away the bow and pull out my rifle. Otherwise it will only be loaded with the regular rounds. Sometimes there is even a loading animation if you switch between regular and express.
You're right but IME, once I equip my two long arms and check that they are loaded with the right ammo, I don't have to worry about it. In other words, I can switch between the two and they will still be set to Express ammo, etc. The issue I have is when I start switching one of the weapons in the slots. I have to recheck when I re-equip weapons.
WIth my sidearms, I never change them so I just make sure they are set with Express ammo at the start of the session and I'm ready to go.

Frankly, I haven't upgraded any cards, haven't even used any.
You really should. You're really putting yourself at a disadvantage if you don't especially against higher level players.
RDO rewards those with high levels. For example, when I unlocked Express ammo, I discovered I could still hold the max limit for regular ammo as well. .....so for a gun like my Lancaster, I can carry 400 rounds vs. the 200 I was limited to before level 34(?). I'm guessing once I unlock High Velocity, I will be able to carry 600 rnds.
I honestly think the limit should be at the amount of ammo regardless of what you choose (say 200). .....with exceptions for things like explosive ammo of course which should remain heavily restricted in that respect.
Ability cards are the same way. They're level locked and expensive to upgrade. Newer players are at a definite disadvantage in this sense. It makes a big difference and can really help those of us who are attempting to find ways to keep from being victims of griefing.

Might depend on how far away you spawn from your horse. Maybe that's why some griefers kill my horse when I'm loaded with pelts.
Interesting thought...
In my case (last night), I respawned in the area near "The Boy" in Valentine (if you know where that side mission is). I was stabbed right at the butchers table. My horse was there as well but they didn't get to it before I could call for it. ....but as I said, they really sucked at trying to be griefers.

I reset them as soon as I can. You get 500 XP right away when doing that and some gold nuggets IIRC. It's also cumulative so if it's maxed out and you wait to reset it, any activity that would affect the challenge will essentially be wasted. .....it won't count toward the next reset if that makes sense.
Personally, I would reset ASAP so you can begin benefiting from activity right away that would apply to the next award.

Do You Lose Your Horse Stowed Pelts When You Die Too?

In the example I provided earlier, I called my horse and all my pelts were still there. Perhaps the combination of proximity suggested earlier plays into it as well?
