No, they didn't remove the camps. I don't know why you are having the issue though. I know some still do have camp problems.

I remember having some problems finding moose as well. I remember spotting some across O'Creagh's run - I watched a herd of them literally walk into the mountainside and disappear.
There used to be one that would always appear in that NW valley a lot of folks go to for hunting. I used to run back and forth down that thing and typically, there was a solitary moose that would spawn at one point near the center where the fingers of the creek would criss cross on the meadow.
I played a game yesterday and while I found quite a few animals, no moose in that spot.

I don't mind the animation at all. For me, RDR2 has always been a relaxing game with the odd moment of terror and fury. I'm perfectly ok with these pastoral moments of calmness.
I don't mind it either with the exception of wolves where the animation briefly locks you out of being able to look around you. I also find it adds a level of tension as you are vulnerable for that period while you are harvesting the animals.
Personally, I believe it's these animations and interactions in the gameworld that help make RDR2 immersive. If anything, I would love to see things like reloading slowed down to something resembling a halfway believable pace.
If we were to skip animations like these, the game simply wouldn't feel the same IMO. ......the work to gather these things would also feel effortless so what's the point IMO? .....and where do we stop with nixing mechanics like this?

Personally speaking, all of the rewards seem to be retroactive so there's still stuff there for me to take advantage of. Unfortunately, it seems I maxed out my ammo the last time I played so unless I blow through a bunch of it, I won't be able to really take advantage of that sale.

We also have a posse recruitment thread if you want to seek folks to join or are looking for others to join you.

Here are the patch notes.

Sounds like it.
Thanks for posting this. I'll reformat the title a bit if that's ok with you and we'll make this the official 1.19 update thread. I'll add it to the sticky as well later when I get a chance.

you are lucky cause there are many players who can't see animals maybe 5-10 in whole sessions including me. so enjoy while you can
I'm well aware of that and I'm not trying to downplay the issue for those folks. R* also admitted as much that the last fix was not a complete solution. .....but that doesn't mean it's not getting better for others.

Honestly, it’s been getting better. Animal spawns may not be perfect, but Good enough I decided to finally by the hunting wagon (I’ve been putting it off was it made little sense when I could barely find enough critters to load up onto the horse). I loaded up Cripps with dead critters, got Frenchie started on a batch of shine and decided to park my wagon down by the shore and go fishing (free time was another luxury I seem to have gotten back now that I Don’t have to spend every second killing things for cripps). Hauling 5 sturgeon into the butcher at a time makes it much more relaxing... and I haven’t been fishing (in RDR) for ages.
as for the weekly bonuses, I could take them or leave them. They’re definitely geared towards new players, but I did use a saddle discount to buy myself a saddle I had my eye on but have been putting off. Then again, I’m not one to grind and buy everything in sight as soon as it comes out, so I still have quite a few things to check off my long term shopping list.
Over all, I do see the game improving. Maybe it’s not perfect yet, but there is definitely improvement in the last little while. I don’t feel it’s so hopeless that I need to run out and buy other games anyway.
I agree..... When I logged back on, I found the wildlife to actually be at the level of where I remembered it before these issues started for me.
As for R* catering to new players, with some of these bonuses, yes, they are. ....but a lot of these things can also benefit other players as well with XP and cash multipliers, etc. We also have to remember there are a lot of folks who have suspended their gameplay like me (lvl 80 something) who haven't completed all of their roles, missions, etc. Some of these things can help bring people like me back to the game.
For those that have everything already, what can I say? If I were that far along in the game I'd likely hang up my hat until the next content drop. Personally, I don't work through the content like some others do. It baffles me how fast some blow through the roles, etc. Even when I was playing regularly I didn't come close. For me, it's more about enjoying the experience and just having fun doing these activities with a friend, etc.
Anyhow, I'll keep posting these updates for those who are interested.

Then I still have no use for the game.
Honestly, if I want to play a lone operative on a stealth mission, I can pop MGS4 or Splinter Cell Blacklist into my PS3. You know, games that are actually designed around this idea rather than having it shifted onto me because the developers don't like that I'm not interested in co-op.
...I wasn't trying to pitch the game to you but ok.
I'm more into co-op as I was in GRW. I'm not interested in the team AI and frankly, the always-online aspect isn't a deal breaker for me as some others. However, a lot of the issues I had with the game they seem to be addressing in the next TU and they plan to continue updating the Ghost Experience from here on out. ......they even cancelled the next raid.
8 hours ago, Enoch said:CoD ain’t for everyone. I can definitely understand that. I tend to gravitate towards more un-CoD modes myself. 😂
And I hadn’t heard about that. Interesting. I loved Wildlands, and I was looking forward to Breakpoint, but with exception of a few developers I tend to wait for reviews before I plop my money down on a game. Since GRBP had such a horrible launch, I chose to not buy it. Those improvements sound cool, though.
I don’t know how populated the community is on Wildlands now, but if you guys want to hop into that game I’m down as well.
Yeah, I'm not really a fan of CoD myself and in fact, this was the first one I bought in a long time.
I loved GRW as well as did my friends who I co-op'ed with. We played tons of hours on that game regularly over the course of many months. We were sorely disappointed with the direction they went with GRB as were many others. Here's the trailer fo the upcoming TU and the links to the fetails:
I was never big on the PvP aspect of GRW (Ghost War). I did love the core gameplay of the main game though.

I use it but only for specific purposes. I don't have to worry about all that other crap with the people, companies, groups that I subscribe to, etc. I'm not really big on hanging out on these things but I do use them for information I'm interested in, family, professional relationships, etc.
Social media can be very helpful as long as you use it to your advantage. Even on Facebook I don't accept many of the friend requests that I receive. I also don't share a lot of information on there but I do connect with friends (real friends) and family.

I fully intend on getting Insurgency. Been craving for a tactical shooter on console for a while now. I know there’s R6, but that game has been out for a while and I can only predict the ire most players will have for a noob on their team.
Kill Confirmed is cool. But I still get drawn back to HC CA. Quick TTK, slow revives, and having to move the objective from one side of the map to the other. Some of the maps aren’t conducive to the mode, but most are. I always have fun with it.
Can't get my buddy into HC although he's a HC tactical shooter kinda guy. This CoD mode just doesn't speak to him for some reason. He get confused but then again, he's old like me. 😄
btw, speaking of tactical shooters, did you hear about the title update planned for GR Breakpoint on the 24th? It took a failure of the game to make them listen to the feedback we all had been providing since GRW for them to finally listen. The list of changes are huge and will be part of the new Ghost Experience. You'll be able to turn off the weapon leveling crap, etc. They also cancelled the next "raid" in favor of concentrating on the Ghost Experience. This looks like the new way forward for GRB. I'm actually considering buying it now.

I’m on PS4. GT is xI_ENOCH_Ix
I’ve played just a few rounds of Spec Ops because, like you said, randos are annoying. I’m also a big fan of playing hardcore Cyber Attack. That mode tends to have slower action and a more tactical feel. Not to mention some of the nighttime modes.
Cool. I'll msg you if we decide to get on to see if you're game. ...maybe next week. Still need a 4th though.
btw, if you like hardcore and the slower pace, check out Insurgency Sandstorm. It will be releasing on PS4 this August but has been on PC for a while. ....very lethal, ammo management, no markers, etc. It's got milsim elements but relatively faster paced.
CoD is just filling a vod for us right now.
btw, we tend to enjoy the Kill Confirmed mode. Not sure exactly why but it just seems less annoying than some of the other modes to us.

Nah, I'll just play other games until Rockstar fixes the game. There are many other bugs still rampant like spawning campsites, lack of animals to hunt (strange, when you are on a mission in a wagon like moonshine or selling camp good animals are all over). I hardly expect a AAA title to be in as rough shape as this.
They have been working on the animal spawn issue and some (like myself) have seen positive results in this regard.
As for the running issues you have, I would do as suggested and submit a ticket. I wouldn't automatically assume this is an issue others are reporting to them. R* may have a solution for you but then again, maybe not. ......but you won't know unless you try.

The OP hasn't been back since Dec 2019 and only had 3 posts on here.
If he doesn't respond in the next day or so I'm going to go ahead and close this thread. Personally, I'd recommend hitting up some of the more active posse recruitment threads concentrating perhaps those created by members involved in the community.
3/9/20 EDIT: I'm closing this thread. The OP isn't coming back and I hate to leave these nets out there catching fish (so to speak) for no reason.

Folks can help us out by simply reporting the post when they see something like this that should go elsewhere and we'll handle it.
OP, please just let us know before creating a duplicate thread. You too can report your own post which will likely be quicker or just PM one of us so the thread can be moved. It's appreciated.
I'll go ahead and lock this one down since you've got the other in Online already. Thanks.

Yes it is very annoying and frustrating! I don’t play online, and i never will because it just feeds into the reason rockstar keeps focusing on it... it makes them so much more money them story mode witch is sad because I, just like many people, bought the game for the story not to play online.... its a very money hungry move by a company who already has so much money and such great story elements.... also i aint paying for ps4 plus just to play boring online!
That was a canned response they were giving many folks which started after the PC release. I got a similar one too.
IME, they never automatically closed cases and their response times were published as <48 hrs but realistically were usually same day. ....then they increased that and even changed it on their Support site.
It sucks that you couldn't get this addressed. That aside, you have to realize online isn't the "big bad wolf" here neither is R* for pursuing it. Sure, a lot of folks buy games like this for the campaign but the fact is, a whole lot of others buy it for online. R* wouldn't be successful if there weren't people to play their games. ......and it's that success that allows them to make these great stories, campaigns, free content, etc.
Right, wrong or indifferent, R*'s GaaS model is one of the most successful in the industry and that doesn't happen by simply producing boring games or focusing only on the bottom line. Also, in an age where other companies were taking the easy route and dumping SP elements in their games for online-only, R* stuck with it because they knew there were still fans. It paid off and funny enough it seems some of those that abandoned SP got the message that maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

.....and there was a lot of stuff that was either ridiculous or unfounded which was my point. Either way, that link shows their post was deleted. I didn't dig any further.
