I'm not so much worried about my honor rating, although I admit I do like to see it maxed out.  For me, it's just annoying to have to do a mission for some low-life criminal scum.  Like the apparently powerful, well-connected, belligerent jerk who strutted and boasted and threatened me while giving me the mission.  Or the creepy incestuous brother and sister pig farmers who I remember all too well from the single-player game; I didn't realize where I was until I'd walked in and was forced to accept their mission to kidnap and return to them a person I can only assume was a victim they'd abducted and who had managed to escape.  Eww.  I also discovered, to my great disappointment, that I couldn't kill them.  :/

Yeah, I've wanted to kill Shakey mid-sentence on more than one occasion while being briefed.  ......spit it out already!!  😁

On a serious note, I don't have a problem with dishonorable missions but I don't care for player / posse assassinations.  I won't accept them.  Being hunted is fine although that hasn't happened to me in a very long time and I have always escaped and/or successfully fended off my attackers.  ....but I don't like going after other players and it's really not worth the hassle most times.

I did accept one once by accident and saw the posse was in a town nearby.  I decide to go for it.  They had no idea the event started (probably didn't know what the prompt meant) as they were simply standing in the street messing with NPCs.  I galloped in, obliterated the two players and rode out without missing a step.  I felt bad afterward but I'd be lying if I also didn't find it pretty funny.

I'm actually having a hard time going dishonorable, no thanks to the horse!

I know I can change through old man Jones, (with coupons). Just trying to see how hard it is to stay dishonorable, it's quite difficult.

Hoping dishonorable will show more trader wagons to jack. It's an experiment, because I never see them, but one dishonorable posse member seems to always see them.  I'll update my findings to my fellow wagon hunters.

I know.  I go around killing a  bunch of NPCs and not only does my honor level barely change (if at all), but I get a bounty less than $10.  I also have an uncontrollable urge to backhand other NPC riders just for fun / practice.  ;)

To be honest, that's why I always took complaints about the bounty system being too harsh in online with a grain of salt.  You really have to go around killing real players to get that thing up there.  ......and in those cases, they deserve the red dot / bounty IMO.

Is there any way to avoid accidentally accepting, or quitting, dishonorable missions?  I'm not talking only about missions which reduce my in-game honor, but any mission which requires me to do ethically unsound things.

We are talking about a game that used the tag line "outlaws for life".  There are a lot of things we are asked to do in the campaign and in RDO that are ethically questionable or are considered just downright wrong in civilized society.  .....that's what the game is about.  Even in the beginning missions / cutscenes that get you sorted in RDO you're an outlaw.

...but yeah, as others said you have your choice of missions, etc. if you want to go that route. Personally, I think folks are missing out on a good chunk of the game if they limit themselves entirely to only honorable tasks but then again, that's the players choice after the introductio into RDO.

Well,GTA5o have had major content drop only during winter and summer when i played it some years ago and rdr2o is copying gta5, so dont hold your breath for a "4 times a year" release plan. Then again, R*s interpetations of the seasons do not follow the normal calender.

Personly i am expecting just a big bug fix during spring time and then new major content beeing added either before or after the summer hollidays.

Well, we've only got about a year to judge that by but RDO's schedule has been busier than GTAO with content drops which makes sense given that GTAO has been around > 7 years compared to RDO (just over 1 year). Personally, I would again expect to see more from RDO this year than the much more established GTAO.  Check the sticky thread in this forum. They should all be listed there.

As for seasons, the updates had been coming out when they said.  ......just not as soon in the particular seasons as some had hoped but they were on schedule. Also depends on whether you are going by the astronomical or meteorological calendar in that regard.

How do you restock from the post office? I've never seen this option.

I've never seen a "lock box" in camp either. I'm in chapter 3.

Story mode may be a little different.  It's been so long that I hi honestly don't remember.  In RDO (online) it works by seeing clerk at a post office and using action shown. On PS4 it's L2 IIRC and then it let's you cycle through everything that you have bought via the catalogue, awarded, etc.

  7. I would love to see camps set up in hideout locations (e.g. in canyons, woods / forest, etc.). There are several spots in RDO that would be perfect and it would give it more of that flavor.  Camping next to a busy road, railroad, town, etc. just doesn't convey that feeling.

  8. Thanks for reporting back and letting us know.  That really helps when others are searching for their own solution to the same or similar problems.  It's appreciated.

  9. For those interested, I submitted a trouble ticket with R* Support last Thursday (1/9).  Here was the content of that:

    Quote

Very few and/or no animal spawns in game world since the last big update. This has always been a hit or miss issue for some but ever since the last TU it seems many are experiencing a game world mostly void of animal life. Players are using the Legendary Bounty where they can still hunt, etc. Only then does the wildlife return when they are in this state alone or with friends.

Some say it gets worse the more people that are in Free Roam with you. This issue was never problem for me in the past but is now since the update. I hope this wasn't done deliberately as it takes so much away from the gameplay experience. A world once seen as alive and dynamic seems so empty without all the wildlife. I am hoping that R* is working on a fix and any information you could share about the progress or acknowledgement of the issue would be great. I would like to provide some news and/or hope for the RDO fans on our site. I appreciate it.

I'm awaiting a response but it seems since the last time I sent in a ticket, the posted response time if now <96 hrs vs. the <48 hrs it was previously.  Back then (pre-PC release), I usually had a response from a real person usually the same day.  .....so I expect (hope) to hear something next week by Tues or Wed.  I'll post their reply when I do.

Any idea what setting(s) control her face detailing? I've been looking and haven't found anything yet.

No idea myself. I'm on PS4 and been out of the PC gaming scene for years.  .....but hopefully someone can chime in to help.

I have added two pictures to original post so show you what I am talking about. The second picture is what she looked like when I was done with her. Then, I turned down my graphics so I could actually play the game. I'm trying to fine tune and tweak it so I can at least get her to look like she did when I first got her made, meaning that I can't fiddle with every single setting and have them turned up like I did previously with toon creation. I need to know where to start to look to get more details on her face.

Btw, thank you for taking the time to respond.

    Yeah, that's a stark difference.

I feel like I would be enjoying the game more on console, honestly. Seems like people on PC have their own groups they stick with. When I do manage to get people to join to do missions, heists, and such they either back out right before it is about to start or they leave in the middle of it. So annoying.

Dealing with randoms is mostly a royal pain in the ass whether its GTAO or RDO.  .....I simply refuse to.  Luckily I have a couple friends that play both so I usually hav someone to join.  .....but it would cool to help someone in your position and breathe some life back into the game for both of us.

I don't spend enough time in my owned spaces to buy something like that.

They have a Prime deal, might only be for PC users (likely is) where you get the arcade for free. I gotta remember to do that.

I been playing on and off since it went on sale in December. I think I am level 47 but I am kind of stuck. Can't find anyone that wants to do heists in any lobbies and I am broke. lol

If you were on PS4, I'd offer to hook up and do some missions, heists, business stuff, etc.

@ KEAN... people new to the game have no clue how broken it currently is.   So mentioning mission servers is on topic here... and almost required.  Their hunting spot may work fine in a less glitchy environment.  I would suggest nobody could get the every animal achievement if they started playing now.

Edit:  This thread has over 17 000 views... so it must be a popular issue.  Glitching missions for hunting needs to be common knowledge to anyone who wishes to enjoy the game as it stands today.

That other thread was necro-bumped from Feb 2019 when the animal spawn issue wasn't really a problem for most.  This really didn't start becoming a persistent and widespread problem until the Summer update and then the laste content drop.

That thread was intended to discuss the best hunting areas when animals do spawn.  There are many discussions and mentions about the animal spawn issue in these forums.  I really didn't want to see other threads turn into "spawn issue" discussions especially when this problem may likely be resolved at some point and become a moot point.

There is an animal spawn thread in the Troubleshooting sub forum that would be more appropriate.  @Bountyflap Jack is new here and likely didn't see the other more recent discussions.  .....no worries Jack.

EDIT:  I went ahead and split off the discussion today in the other thread about the "best hunting spots" to here in the official, stickied thread regarding the animal spawn issue and the last responses removed in the interest of getting back to the topic at hand.  .....the animal spawn problem, workarounds, experiences and discussion of the topic.
