I think the levels are too easy to obtain. Now with the Outlaw Pass they are even easier. Also the Role levels are a joke. Grind for a day and your done.
I agree.
I think they made it too easy to level up in roles because even as a very casual RDO player, I still find it's easy to gain a lot of ground in this regard during a session.
Now, if content releases were more frequent, then I might see the progression as being more appropriate but as it is, folks are simply completing these roles and are left with a lul between releases. The pacing should be adjusted in either case IMO.

No, I guess you wouldn't. It's not important anyhow. .....carry on.

ArmA or Squad?
I used to play games like the OP Flashpoint series but I say milsim-ish because I'm also including titles like the early R6 series and similar. Games where lethality is more unforgiving / realistic, etc. than twitch shooters.
GRW was the closest thing we had on console in a long while and certainly on PS4. At least PS3 had OPF, MAG.... I also play DayZ quite a bit since it's release on PS4.
I gave up PC when the PS3 released and with that decision, I lost the ability to play milsim titles like SQUAD and ARMA 3. ......but, DayZ is now on PS4 and I can't wait until Insurgency Sandstorm arrives early this year. GRB was a bust and tossed the GRW formula out the window (a decision Ubi now regrets).
I'm hoping more devs of these more tactical / milsim-like titles make the jump over to console in the future. Perhaps it will finally get the attention of AAA devs that there is an untapped market in this genre.

I played PvP briefly in the beginning but I never liked R*s interpretation of gunplay mechanics, combat movement, bulet-sponge damage mechanics, etc. It simply too arcadey for me. Seems it whoever is better at flicking the controller, rolling around, jumping, etc. ......twitch shooter stuff.
Personally, I've never been good at PvP in such games myself although I do quite well in more milsim-ish tactical shooters, etc.
Luckily, RDO has so much more going for it in the game world that makes up for these undesirable aspects IMO. If R* games didn't, I wouldn't be playing them.

Go read the console online forum...Kean kept up a weekly update of goodies.
The Online forum includes PC and those updates include bonuses, gifts, multipliers, new items, etc. that PC players get as well. They are not being left out in that regard AFAIK.
.....but as mentioned, the weekly routine was interrupted and we didn't see anything for a little while. Used to be every Tuesday. We finally got our first Tues drop today so maybe the schedule will be back to normal now.
As far as the Online forum, that is for discussion about online regardless of the platform. The PC sub forum was meant to address PC-specific issues, discussion and such.

I think it is pretty shitty that we have to worry about playing online games because of people like this. I shouldn't have to mute other players to avoid them. I shouldn't have to worry about a girlfriend or spouse playing the game with me. This kind of stuff makes me sick and honestly disappoints me when it comes to the gaming community as a whole.
Just to be fair, it's not the gaming community so much as it is a few bad apples that can spoil the experience for most.

Funny that I predicted in the other topic, that instead of fixing issues and improving anything. They would just add more clothing and a new pvp mode. The ****ING ANIMALS!!!! WTF
This is getting tiresome. Whats the point of these damn 'Free Aim' pvp modes, treating them like special pvp modes. There needs to be a FLAT OUT FREE AIM mode for everything, especially FREE ROAM. And if R* wants players to even remotely care about pvp modes, they need HOSTED lobbies with options.. with private lobby options.
PVP in RD O could be extremely popular, if they stopped treating it like they do. And the role playing players need private lobbies.
And at this point, theres enough clothing in this game to last for years.
*Hudawg still beating the dead horse? Nope, im still waiting for the horse to wake up..:D
R* has already said many months ago that they have no interest in splitting up the player base in Free Roam at least for the foreseeable future. That means no private sessions, hardcore / free aim lobbies, etc. Right, wrong or indifferent, that's just the way it's gonna be for now. Personally, if I were as passionate about free aim, I would see these FA events in PvP as a good sign that they are perhaps quite popular that could eventually lead to a hardcore / FA session in the future if they ever decide to go that route.

Fixes continue that they are able to implement on their end. We only tend to see those that they have to push to the players in the form of hotfixes, TUs, etc. Often, we never hear anything from R* about those tweaks, changes and fixes they make behind the scenes. It's not until the community notices something.

the dripfeed content added today sucks.. i would love love love to play in a private session so i Can roleplay myself.. dont need a public server with 97,7% toxic children in it...
IMO, the feedback is extremely important and I think that some of the changes they have made over the last 1+ years has show that they do listen to the input. Many of the popular requests have been implemented in mechanic changes, etc. As for fixes, R*'s communication has always been lacking in this regard but I think it's vital that people still submit their feedback and problems to them.

I don't know what the timeframe is for reporting someone...we had a VERY horrible experience last night and nothing really came of it that we saw.
We were fighting an ambush and another posse ran in...during the fray I accidentally shot one of their posse...They then proceeded to continually kill us over and over...we parlayed...they followed us for 10 minutes till the parlay ended..they then proceeded to hogtie my wife (who is female in game as well as real life obviously)...taunt her...tea bag her till she was in tears asking to stop and they stabbed her over and over with sexual, racial, and shaming slurs telling her to kill herself in real life....we attempted multiple reports and nothing happened...
we are new to the online part of the game so we didnt realize till later that you can exit and you will likely re-enter in a different session where they are not active. My wife is horribly shaken and traumatized by their actions and verbal assaults. Does rockstar look at any of this? or is it a moot point?
Thanks in advance
I would strongly suggest you report them using the R* Support website. They suggest going through the Social Club but to be honest, I don't know exactly where to do this through that site. I would simply open a ticket and let them know they used racial slurs and threats / suggestions of suicide. I am sure someone will respond with instructions how to report this or perhaps they will handle it from there, provide suggestions, etc. In either case, most gaming companies take these types of things quite seriously although this may be a case of he said/ she said given there is no evidence. Next time I would suggest taking video evidence if possible as that would provide the proof you need for them to take action.
If you're on XB1 or PS4 and they send you a message with slurs, threats, etc., you can submit that through MS / Sony and they will act definitely on it as mentioned. ......but I wouldn't go at of your way to bait anyone as that could blow up in your face as I've seen it happen to people before.
To be honest, none of this is worth spending any more time in the game putting up with this kind of behavior. As @HuDawg said, you're simply giving them what they want. When you leave the session without saying or doing anything, they are left with nothing but perhaps a brief satisfaction of driving you away I guess. .......but when you give in and especially express your frustration, hurt feelings, anger, etc., it only invites more of the same behavior. In fact, it can also escalate to more harassment by them trying to follow you between sessions, etc.
XB1 and PS4 have features that can help mitigate this kind of harassment and I would suggest using those if possible. I always block players like this so they cannot send me messages, join my Communities, see my activity, etc. It may not prevent them from being in the same session in the future but I've never ran across someone I have already blocked so I don't know (PS4).
I will say that if anyone ever follows you to this forum (it has happened), let me or one of the other mods know ASAP. Report any PMs, posts ,etc. and we will take care of it. The owner has a zero tolerance policy regarding harrassment, personal attacks or any kind of behavior like that against our fellow members.

I never make a sale in a session that has more than 5 players either. I just keep switching them until I either end up in one on my own or with maybe three or four other players. And I also make sure to play at a time when there aren't many other people playing. Anything else... nah, thanks indeed! The game has WAY too many griefers. If I couldn't play in Invite Only sessions I'd have stopped playing a long, long time ago.
Yeah, I wouldn't be playing either if I couldn't use the MTU trick. I don't play with randoms beyond these forced private sessions or my invite-only session with friends to play missions, heists, etc.
Even with the MTU setting I still have other join about 10-20 % of the time but they either leave or just do their own thing as they seem to be using the same setting to accomplish the same thing.

Must have missed something, when did the Evans get a 26 round clip?
In one of the updates leading up to the last big one if I recall. They did a little tweaking and apparently increased the internal magazine size, etc. for some.

Yeah, I still play it. Always in Invite Only lobbies (unless I have to make a Nightclub sale).
I use the the MTU setting on my PS4 to force myself into a public session without other players and that is where I do all of my business missions and such that I would otherwise have to do with all the griefers.
I don't play GTAO in open sessions with other players. Either private, invite only or public with just me or a couple other randoms in a session. It's funny, when I force the MTU settings sometimes randoms will get thrown in but they usually are all just doing the same thing so we all leave each other alone. ......but if the population begins to increase, I create a new session. Typically I'm by myself though.

What do you mean by cycle? When you join a Free Roam game you are simply dropped into the session populated by other players at whatever the in-game time is. The time remains constant (uninterrupted) for all players while in Free Roam.
....maybe I'm misunderstanding your question.

You ask "is this stuff being monitored". Monitored in what way? Here at this site or if R* is monitoring gameplay?
I'm guessing the screen capture you original shared was the players name / posse name. You can use that to report them via R* Support. There is even an option to report individual players or groups:
https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?step=dea4b872
btw, I removed the screen capture you posted because of the circumstances regarding this thread you created. We have a "name & shame" policy here. We don't allow members to call others out for cheating, hacking, etc. regardless of the evidence. We always suggest folks to go through proper channels and contact R* Support in those cases. However, any harassment or otherwise inappropriate behavior is experienced here, we strongly suggest anyone affected or witnessing such things report it to RDR.org staff immediately and we will take care of it.

I remember being one of the people who was kinda disappointed in the mechanics of the game in terms of this. Like the hand to hand combat and the general damage done via bullets was just screw-bally. Oh well.. I mean the game is still insanely good all things considered.
......and that's the only reason I can look past the over simplified gunplay / combat mechanics in R* games.

Yeah, no problem. It's fine for OT.
I still play myself and have been to some degree or another since launch on PS3.

A lot of folks are traveling and/or on vacations during this time. I can see how they might want to have these events for a couple weeks or so to allow everyone a chance to share in the experience.

Then that was most likely an experiment year.
I played gta5o from summer 14 to spring 18, i only saw non stop snow the first year. the rest of them there was snow on 24-26 and 31-2.
The snow was a ***** to drive on and 3x worse with an MC, plus there like here, it is stupid to have snow yet the AI is walking around dressed as if it was 30c.
Yeah, last time before this it was a bear. Made driving difficult as some friends new to the online part were trying to get into some of the businesses and I was showing them the ropes. It got old kinda quick.

NOT RECEIVING XP

.......btw, if no one else responds with a potential solution or answer as to why you are not receiving XP for these actions, my suggestion would be to submit a trouble ticket with R* Support:
