You've already got a thread in the recruitment sub forum where something like this would belong.
There are plenty of threads / posses in that other forum looking for people to recruit that you can respond to or you can wait until someone answers your call.
Thanks.

..and it will remain packed for me. It disconnects me only when i have lots of skins in my horse (when i'm donating). Very frustrating indeed. I cannot even progress the role. I'll continue bounty hunter and collector and leave trader for some months later when hopefuly they'll fix something.
There are several common bugs right now but luckily, it seems they are aware of the ones that folks have been complaining about.
I doubt it will take months to resolve most of these especially the ones on their end.

I kinda dig this legendary bounty thing. I'm still working my way up but these new roles should give me plenty of stuff to do for a while.

WANTED: LEGENDARY BOUNTIESTHE FIRST LEGENDARY BOUNTY TARGET IS NOW AVAILABLE, PLUS A NEW COLLECTIBLE LIST, FREE-AIM SERIES AND MORE
Every bounty has a story, and it rarely ends well.
Starting today, we will introduce the first of 10 new Legendary Bounties, the most dangerous bounty targets from across the five states -- a collection of the worst fraudsters, thieves and killers running loose and ready for you to track down.
Law keepers across The West have put out the call: La Reina de los Banditos, Barbarella Alcazar must be brought to justice.
Alcazar is the de facto leader of the bloodthirsty Del Lobos gang, rumored to be hiding out somewhere in New Austin. The dangerous widow of infamous killer Ricardo Alcazar is wanted for thievery, extortion and murder. Bring Alcazar in by September 23rd – deliver her alive to command a handsome sum or receive a slightly reduced return if she meets an untimely demise during the pursuit.
A new Legendary Bounty will come to light each week. Visit a nearby Bounty Board to see the new Legendary Bounty wanted poster and take them on solo or with up to three of your most trusted Posse members.

Collectors who played last week may have noticed the opportunity to seek out the Sacred Collection. This week, Madam Nazar is looking for the Pearls of the Sea collection consisting of the Durant Pearl Bracelet, Pelle Pearl Necklace and Bonnard Pearl Ring. Turn in the complete collection directly to Nazar or via any Post Office by September 23rd for a healthy payment.
Be on the lookout for a new collection each week and remember, while completing your collection you can pin any outstanding items from the Collector’s Bag Menu for quick access in the Player Menu.

Players interested in the thrill of competitive, free-aim gunslinging can launch Shootout Series (Free Aim) from the Online menu, which plays host to free-aim iterations of Most Wanted, Name Your Weapon and Public Enemy. Keep an eye on the Online menu to see new competitive Free Aim series each week.

There are plenty of benefits awaiting riders of all stripes this week. Play Red Dead Online through September 23rd and receive a boost of 3,000 Club XP to aid your progress within the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club ranks. Players in possession of the Outlaw Pass will receive an additional 2,000 Club XP, helping them on their way to unlocking rewards like unique outfits and weapon mods, RDO$, bonus Gold and more. The Club XP will be delivered within 24 hours of playing Red Dead Online.
Keep an eye on the Newswire for details on tons of new additions coming to Red Dead Online this year - including new poncho styles, the latest Legendary Bounty Targets, Free Roam Events and more.

yes you can online, but what realy is the point when it is only applied to you, not the whole server.....
radar will never be server removed, not when R* increased all animation move speeds in order to step away from realism so the gtao ppl would jump on the game.
I dunno..... The increase in animations speed, movement, etc. was minimal IMO / IME. ....although I would have preferred them to actually slow releads way down rather than speed them up given just how ridiculously fast they were to begin with. .....nothing real about that.
Either way, R* games always had an arcadey feel to them in relation to their gunplay and character control. However, they create really immersive worlds which is what their draw is to me.
No radar in a tactical shooter makes sense to me. ......not in a game like this though. At least not without a lot of other changes including no auto aim, realistic reloads, ammo and weapon management, etc. Having said that, I would love to see a hardcore mode with these elements in it.
If I can find the article about R*s decision to go with a "one mode" option, I'll post a link. They really wanted to crate an online game mode for all rather than splitting up players. Fact is, not everyone is going to like everything they do with it and some will likely never be happy regardless.
IMO, RDR2 is nowhere near the same gameplay experience GTAO is due to it's pacing and other aspects and none of the changes they've made make me feel that their intention is to draw RDO toward that. .....most if then are just the opposite in fact.

I have only played a couple sessions since the release.
I have basically just started 2 of the 3 roles and I'm further on the Bounty than anything else. Trouble is, I was getting that problem where the XP wasn't being applied so I'm probably one more capture before I get to lvl 2.
I also had the disconnect issue many have been having since the release of the update but it didn't bother us the last time. .....although my buddy had issues with his horse not moving when initiating another bounty until the end when it seemed to let up.
Hoping they can fix these bugs soon.
.....and @BropolloCreed79, maybe when they fix the current discon issues it might finally fix your long standing problem. ....fingers crossed.

I didn't even know they made a bunch of different types.

That would be cool.
What they show in the game is nowhere near what someone would realistically be able to load some of these weapons.
......as Jerry Miculeck walks in, "Is that a challenge? Hold my beer."

yeah he was explaining and demonstrating how it worked and why.
Here is a link to it.
Lump.
......check the 3 minute mark. That explains why he had to load the cylinder on the bench with his own press. This wasn't a requirement for this or necessarily other percussion revolvers of the time.
The reloading assembly broke off on his gun, that's why. .....otherwise you can load the revolver with the cylinder still in the the frame of the weapon. That's what I was talking about.

Its funny you mention the reload speed, I just watched a guy load a real Lamat, LOL you wont believe what is involved, you certainly arent doing anywhere near as fast as in the game, before the update never mind after.
It involves a ball, not a bullet, and you actually have to "press" like with a real press the ball into the hole, which is designed to shave off a part of the ball.
You also added powder with a little funnel, in there first, then a moistened pad, then the ball which you pressed in with a press. They do this for an air tight seal, to avoid chainfires, which were very common back in the day.
Grease didnt prevent it or the little pad they put in that is moistened, both have a purpose but neither will prevent a chain fire from happening, so thinking about that, you literally need to sit at a bench to reload the damn thing, not very practical for day to day use like a sheriff or something, more like a one and done deal, you fire your nine and grab another gun til you can get to a press, lol.
I'm not into shooting black powder firearms but these percussion revolvers usually had presses or rams built into their design so they could be reloaded in the field. The LeMat had one too IIRC. I'm not sure what video you may have watched but maybe in that scenario the owner / shooter felt more comfortable loading on a bench for whatever reason.

PvP hasn't been as popular as R* thought. The introduction is likely just another way to help freshen it up. They know there are some who prefer this kind of gameplay and yeah, I can see it as great way to gauge interest in it.
As for additional session types, R* has already said that their vision was for a one session experience and that is "Free Roam". They currently have no interest in creating multiple session types (e.g. solo, private, free aim, etc.). .....but that's not to say they won't change their minds at some point and they've even said as much.
Personally, I wouldn't read too much into it. We'll have to see how things shake out. If this new mode becomes really popular, then perhaps.
-
It's not a new mechanic in R* games. Neither are the arcade aspects.
The fact is that they have to appeal to their core player base and removing something like this that has such a significant impact on the gameplay won't likely be well received.
Personally, I think the proximity blips alone were a great compromise to keeping the radar while not being too intrusive in regard to people's whereabouts. You really need to be within a relatively close range before you even begin to show up on someone's minimap. ......unless of course you have a high hostility level.
.....then there's the whole balance aspect of it. Remove people's ability to spot potential enemies near them and the chances of being griefed will skyrocket. Ambushes will be a common event in towns, popular routes, etc. This would firmly place the advantage in the griefer's hands.
I like the idea for immersion but the realist in me tends to think Free Roam would simply turn into a free for all at that point and that is clearly not the vision R* has for RDO. If you folks really don't like it, you can also let R* know via their feedback site:

Did you submit a trouble ticket?

First, did you contacct R* Support and if so, what did they say? Second, did you see the response from Support that I shared above?
The first level of support can be inconsistent. You can tell they are simply a call center company somewhere outside of the U.S.
Sometimes you get someone like I did who actually knows what's going on, sometimes you don't and you get the typical troubleshooting script. The trick is to not allow them to close the ticket. Your case will be escalated at some point. Either way, they are working on it.
Maybe you want to share what I have above from one of their own reps? Here is the full response (less the links):

Be aware that this is a known bug and that the Rockstar team is working to fix it.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide a fix estimate, but it will certainly be fixed on Rockstar servers or some patches in the future.
If the patch is made on the servers, you can monitor periodically.
We are very sorry that this happened to you, but we are reporting that we are receiving similar reports from other players and nothing to be fixed from your side.We apologize again for the problem and appreciate your patience while we await the solution.
If you have other issues, please contact us again.
Hope this helps.
Att
John. M"Either way, this issue is not going to be resolved overnight. Hopefully its on R*'s side like John (above) said since that would be the fastest way they can address it. Like it or not, we are just going to have to wait to see. .....but if you want to help, stay persistent. The more people that complain about it and the more persistent folks are, the better our chances are of getting results. ....IMO. We really can't do much else anyhow.
Also, please note that I have combined your threads on the subject as well as another with this one. I understand some of the frustration but I'd like to keep everything in one to keep things tidy and help share information with anyone in the same boat.

Hi Pags and welcome to the forums.
I think there are more of us "mature" folk around here than most realize so it shouldn't be too hard finding others ito play RDO with. You may also want to check out the other threads in this sub forum to see what you might stumble across

Yeah, there have been some that have been plagued by disconnects from the start. However, there are also disconnects like these that affect far more people and it's usually after an update, patch, etc. These usually get sorted though.
Perhaps one day when they are addressing one of these far reaching discon issues they'll end up taking care of some of the long-term ones as well.

Well, couple things here my friend.....
RDR2.org is not affiliated with R* nor 2K. This is a fan site.
Second, you stated you had this particular error and I tried to help you by sharing what R* Support shared with me. The problem is being worked on. I'm not sure what else to tell you at this point.

made an account just to respond to this... My defensive was disabled when I was sitting at my camps campfire. lowered my flag as well. Make sure to submit the problem to R* Support here:
They may even know about the problem already but I think it's important for everyone affected to let them know just the same.

THOSE THAT HATE RADAR !
in Red Dead Online
Posted
You mean "with radar", right? Most online console games have some form of minimap plus targeting. Exceptions might be hardcore tactical shooters, hardcore survival, etc. R* games are sort of unique for their open worlds and freedom for players to essentially do as they like (e.g. explore, run businesses, fool around, interact with other players, etc.).
The fact is, without the minimap or radar (or even without auto aim, the cover system, etc.) you're game is only going to appeal to a niche audience that is into a hardcore experience. Unless they create a seperate hardcore mode for players, I doubt you will see anything like that in RDO.
Either way, they have made improvements to the radar especially when they went with a proximity based system rather than the GTA-like radar that shows everyone on the map. Huge improvement in helping with griefers by not showing where everyone is at but also giving players a heads-up when other players are near.
I'm not sure what to say..... It sounds like you bought a game that simply wasn't for you.
I bought RDR2 for the campaign. I played the hell out of RDR1 so it was a no-brainer that I would buy RDR2. I had no idea how RDO would be so I never had any high hopes that it would provide the kind of online experience I wanted. .....but I was pleasantly surprised.
RDR1 had radar.
I recall there was a hardcore survival, old west themed game called "Outlaws of the Old West" for PC that was in development. To be honest, you're more likely to find what you want on that platform than you will on XB1 or PS4.
I love a good hardcore gaming experience myself. I play DayZ (HC survival game) and I can't wait for Insurgency Sandstorm to release on PS4. .....the latter is an HC tactical shooter with no enemy markings, radar, high lethality, etc. Good stuff....
