I came here to express my disgust with how Sony......

    Just an fyi....

RDR2.org is in no way affiliated with Sony, R* or 2K.  This is an RDR2 / RDO fan forum.

Sorry you were not satisfied with the game but other than simply venting, it won't do much good to post here complaining about R* & Sony if your intention is to get their attention.

If you want to provide feedback to R*, I would suggest submitting it through the following website here:

    https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us

That is the only direct link I know of to communicate with them.

Also reports of a 30% XP boost on Free Roam Stranger missions.

    Thanks Moosh.

I was at the doctor (nasty spider bite) and it appears R* posted this on Twitter and their newsfeed about an hour ago.  I created the typical thread for it here:

Wandering the vistas and mesas of the frontier is its own reward, sure, but honest-to-goodness buried treasure? That is a bounty all its own. No update for this week? It's always been revealed by noon on Tuesday. Went to Rockstar's website myself to look for it and nothing.😥

Nothing yet but could be any minute or perhaps not at all. Today is the big Casino update for GTAO so that could be the reason for the delay.

  5. UPDATE:

Had a new member join and post the following screenshot.  Unfortunately, their post also included a questionable username and derogatory remark which we simply won't tolerate here.  However, I will repost the screenshot showing that the Carcano rifle was indeed mentioned at least on that screen at one point.

I would use this and submit a trouble ticket to R* Support if you have not seen that rifle awarded to you in your package @Venusiren et all:

America should be green also,  more are moving to metric.  Almost all cars use metric bolts and measurements, I can't remember the last time i used a standard wrench.  They're all still shiny and new in the toolbox, the metric are grubby and well used :)

doctor's are now doing everything in metric, i just found out last week i weigh 120 kg and i'm 193 cm tall.

Yeah.....   America is a mixed bag but metric is a bigger part of people's lives here than some think.  ....although the impact can vary from person to person.

As for cars, I would say most new cars are metric as legacy components give way to newer ones, etc.  I still have well used imperial as well as metric tools in my chests / cabinets but I've been buying and using those tools over the past 30+ years.

Many things I work on around the house still use imperial but yeah, many things on my vehicles are metric even on my '10 Challenger (although there are still some imperial sized bolt heads, etc. too).

you gotta be in the right spot to catch them.  Google them and there's numerous videos\guides on where to stand and cast.

The usual folks are still around and even some new faces although I'm sure others are taking a break too.

Once the Summer Update hits, I'll wager it will pick up a bit.

So I should just sit there, shut up and like the fact that R* is 'sitting' on updates, not balancing the game correctly, and not giving a rats ass about what players need in terms of game play?

Look dude.. I call as I see it.  If you got a problem with that..  then you can either prove me wrong OR ignore me.  Because im not gonna just gonna roll over.

Im extremely critical of R* for a reason. Because they are capable of much better.  Their single player games are testament to that.  But how they run online.. Its like its being run by a bunch of board room clowns, Investors and yessssa men.

Its like dating girl who at 1st dresses up hot, looks greats, acts amazing.  Then after a few weeks stops giving a rats ass about anything and starts wearing the same underwear for months on end.

Maybe instead of adding more POINTLESS clothing they can actually do something to improve the damn game.  If that doesn't make sense to you.. Then we are on different planets.

Do I have a problem?  😄 No, no problem here HuDawg.  Just discussing your topic.  I understand folks need to vent (some obviously more than others ;)) and that's fine.

Look, most of us have problems with the game to some extent but if I were as fed up with a game/developer as you seem to be with RDO/R*, I would have cut my losses long ago.  .....but kudos to you for hanging in there.

As for the lack of meaningful content / updates, I also think they are being too slow with the releases but then again, I have no idea what their development process is like, business strategy, etc.  I do have faith that R* will continue to improve the game though and that's why I stick around.  .....because if I didn't, I would have walked away for good months ago.

In the meantime, I take occasional breaks from the game if I feel bored, frustrated and/or simply disinterested just like I do with GTAO.  In fact, I haven't played RDO for a few weeks myself.  ....although I'll probably hop into a session this weekend and check out the casino update for GTAO next week.   :)

Really don't care if its successful.   Im talking about how they treat online and its player base.. like a bunch of mindless cattle.

Im not here to suck the teeet of R* for treating RD O like the bastard step child of GTA O.     I will simply call it out..

They are capable of doing so much more. And we all know it.  And whos ever in charge of the ONLINE is the one I blame.

....and all I'm saying is that you don't need to be among those mindless cattle as you call them if you don't want to.  ....easy peasy.

Not all players experience the same glitches so it is hard to tell how widespread is this problem. When I first started experiencing problems with horses, I dutifully reported the incidents to R* but was never able to resolve the problem. Their advice to me was to reboot the PS4 and hold L1 and R1 simultaneously while the game started up. Never worked, it stayed the same. So what I decided to do was to post videos of my problems on YouTube and Twitch,... I am sure that there are several people assigned to monitor social media that work at R* so I think that has a better chance to be noticed than the Mail/reply bot they use for customer complaints.

Even if it's not widespread, you still deserve help with the product as it's obviously an issue for you.

Personally, I would have stuck with R* Support and kept replying back to them through escalation. I would have also continually responded with these videos since you're already going through the trouble of making and posting them.

I've had to address issues with them where I wouldn't let them close the ticket because it didn't resolve my problem.  My case got escalated and then I discovered it was a known issue that was being worked on.  I don't believe their first level support are R* employees but their escalation staff seems to be.  It's obvious to me that their first tier folks use scripts and only repeat what they've been told.

Anyhow, although I'm sure R* pays staff to comb through forums and other sites, I wouldn't bank on them addressing a potentially isolated issue.

R* maybe the most infuriating game devs of all time.

.....and yet one of the most successful.

No one is forcing you to play a game that you find infuriating you know.  I'm sure there are plenty of others out there from developers you might find more appealing.

In other forums on this site I have chronicled my problems with horses, horses dying for no reason, horses not available in missions, problems with saddles etc. but this one takes the prize.

One of the "gifted" horses from Sony (the white Perlino) kept losing health as soon as it left the stable. This went on for a about a week. I tried feeding it, brushing it, bought the health care package all to no avail. It simply refused to get better. It always was malnourished AND dirty.  ( yes, the horse is insured)

Went to the stables in Blackwater with it and yet again bought the horse health care package. Before I was able to leave the stable, the gold health cores faded to nothing within 30 sec while my horse was STILL IN THE STABLE.

All together I spent at least $75 trying to restore its health, decided to cut my losses and dumped the "gift".

Pretty well anything, in my opinion, connected with horses and stables is glitched.

NB: the link below is a YouTube video of what happened

    Horse stable problem

I hope you also sent that to R* Support.

I haven't been on in a few weeks unfortunately.  Maybe this weekend I'll take advantage of it.

I dunno about the rest of you guys, but my carrots from this care package are glitched so I always have 5 carrots, no matter how many I feed my horse - across multiple sessions (between log ons/offs). Haven't tried the oatcakes or hay because I had some before the care package added more.

    Cool...  :)

Yeah my original point of including that fact is

In November TTWO reported 23 million copies sold, in May... 24 million.  So that's only 1 million or so whereas GTA 5 is up to 110 million worldwide and about 10 million copies in the same period.  Last few months GTA is generally about the 5th best selling game and RDR2 is 7th

I get what you're saying but the comparison I was referring to was GTAO during the same period of its life.  GTAO is a fully mature game now with much more to offer than what it did in the early stages.  ....much how I expect RDO might be given more time.

My bottom line is R* needs to do something, what that something is I don’t have the answer.   I read this forum and Reddit…History has shown me that it’s Summer so game play drops off but overall sentiment seems pretty negative, people just seem bored with RDO right now.  Most common complaint I see is RDO has nothing to do and  that  their communication (like most gaming companies) is horrible

I love the game and want to see it succeed but I’m of the opinion they really need to do something and push across some major updates in succession.  .  You got a slew of games releasing in time for Christmas.

The RPG elements is a start.

I don't put a lot of stock in some of the criticism I read in forums or the media for that matter.  There were a lot of folks touting the demise of GTAO in the first year and even after.  .....but yeah, from a personal perspective there simply isn't enough to keep me interested in RDO right now.  I too think it's still a great game though and I believe it has a lot of potential.  I'd just like more PvE content and features which I'm sure they will release in time.

GTAO and RDO are one of those unique types of games for me that I can abandon for a few days, weeks and sometimes even months and still return back to.  I don't think RDO will ever be able to replicate GTAO's success but I do think it will begin to pick up steam just as GTA did so long ago.

GTAs casino Update will definitely make people stop playing RDR at least those who are more of a GTA fan.

Personally, I don't think the Casino update pulling folks away from RDO has much to do with people liking GTA more as it does with those who simply play both franchises.  Personally, when big updates come around (regardless of whether it's GTAO or RDO), I'll go check it out in most cases.  ....although I tend to favor RDO myself.

I do expect many of those that play both will certainly be abandoning RDO to go explore the Casino next week.

That said don't get me wrong I'd love to have had the new DLC today and do fear with the new GTA Casino update coming that it might be weeks away. I doubt they will double major update at the same time. I've said it before I guess I'm old school I don't expect a major update every week.

Looks like the Casino Update for GTAO is launching next week (7/23; next Tues).

Bottom line is that GTA5 and GTO is still outselling RDR2 and RDO (some analysts have it has high as 10 to 1 since January)

They got to spin it, so I expect something in time for the earnings call.

In meantime they killing me with boredom.

....but RDO was also growing faster than GTAO compared to where that game was in the same period of its life.  I doubt RDO will ever outsell GTAV in terms of overall units sold, MTXs, etc., but they never expected it would.  Still, the success of the game is nothing to sneeze at:

"Zelnick noted that there had been 24 million copies of RDR2 sold to date, or only slightly more than the 23 million sold by the end of 2018. In contrast, GTA 5 managed to rack up 34 million copies between its September 2013 debut and August 2014."

I agree that there is a chance that the Summer Update will release before the next earnings call but then again (if that even plays a factor in their business strategy), they could use that as leverage to buy some time by releasing it after and pitching a positive outlook.  Either way, we should learn more regarding the state of the game just before or after that call.
