I'm exactly the same. There's a collective groan when they release another crappy adversary mode. All this doesn't bode well for RDRO, if we're already bored and sick of GTAO, especially if the same dev teams are responsible for it.
Hey now! Let's stay optimistic. It could be great! Though, if I'm honest, I'm a little worried it'll just be more of the same.

GTA Online blew me away when I first played it in 2013 and despite the issues it was evident from day one that Rockstar put a lot of work into the Online and it's various features but now I can't stand GTA Online, with all the weaponized vehicles driving and flying around these days you'd be lucky to survive a drive around the map in an unarmoured car.
I loved having shootouts in Red Dead Redemption and in GTA Online when it first dropped but no one uses guns in GTA Online anymore. I played in a Public Freeroam the other day with a friend and 26+ other random players, me and my friend spent 2 hours running around getting into fights on the ground, we died 14 times between us and only one of those deaths was by being shot, the rest were from jets, tanks, C4, RPGs, flying cars and bikes. When those are the only weapons being used it makes it really hard to have fun.
i dont even play it anymore. havent for like a year. it's boring. when a new car comes out that i want, maybe i'll jump online and buy it. but thats it.

If you'd told me in 2013 about all the things we'd get in the Gunrunning and Doomsday updates I'd have thought you were crazy.
If you had told me that I’d be able to watch a police chase on tv in my Online high-rise apartment, and then look out the window as it sped by, I would have thought you were high. That’s the first thing that blew my mind about GTAO when it came out.

I am hoping for this. I don't mind having set options but I want there to be some color options with it. If they want to keep it true to the old west, they can just do dark washes of red, green, blue, yellow, and so on.
I hope they keep it all authentic. It'll really ruin the experience for me if i have to see people running around in neon green boots and orange zebra stripe jackets with pink rifles.

Anyone following the casting of Quentin Tarantino’s next movie Once Upon a Time In Hollywood? Takes place in Hollywood in 1969 during the Manson murders. I’m a movie geek and so I’ve been following it closely. They just added Al Pacino to the already mind blowing cast. Take a look.

I guess I just feel like I want to put that time and effort into a horse to have it be the best it can be, and not just have some roided out beast handed to me that's already wicked fast and strong AF.

Maybe it's too easy but The Archbell Gang sounds cool to me.

This has to be the same as Far Cry which lets you see nearby animals for hunting purposes.

Seeing that there are 2 unlockable (whole) outfits for preorder, will we be stuck buying whole outfits in online, or will it be more like GTA where we can do whatever we want?
I’m sure we’ll have all sorts of customization options. Anything less would be a step back instead of forward.

I'll be pre-ordering the game, but not using this horse. Won't using the War Horse or any special edition horses ruin the relationship building and training experience with a regular horse? We'll be feeding, grooming, and spending time with it, all in an effort to strengthen the bond and performance. Each shootout and race across the plains will help to build a companionship. The War Horse, Dappled Black Thoroughbred and Black Chestnut Thoroughbred are bigger, faster, and more courageous. If they get shot and killed, are they gone forever? Most likely not. And so that emotional permanent death is now gone too. You're thoughts?

Now I am curious, what part of the trailer is this in? I didn't spot it when I watched it. I want to see it now. This sounds hilarious but also bad news bears for us.
The man that’s thrown from the carrage.

Could all be bull but the main take away, for those of you that don’t have the time to watch the video is this:
-Committing certain crimes will result in a wanted level and you’ll have lawmen on your trail.
-Bounties are back but you may not realize you have one placed on you until towns folk react to your presence unfavorably or you see your wanted poster(?). (Which you can take down). Bounty hunters (other players) can question NPCs on your whereabouts.
-To find bounties check wanted posters and newspapers.
- Players will only be visible on your map when they’re in a certain radius of you. Friends and crew will always be on your map, no matter the distance.
-Similar to time trials in GTA, there’ll be treasure hunts.
-Dead eye won’t slow down time Online but will allow you to X people.
-Houses can be bought. Tents may have different colors and features.
-Battle Royal mode tested but not approved.
-Your GTA character can not be ported but a heritage tree is featured in creating your Online character.

Worst case (for me) - Empty lobbies and no way of playing heists etc in my part of the world
Which part of the world? Why would there be a problem?
-
Worst Case scenarios: Not authentic- ridiculous customization options (ie; pink shotguns and 'tricked out' horses)
Modders. period.
An unimpressive Online experience- My biggest fear is that they don't follow the GTA format and the Online experience is something far less than we're expecting.

I am a good dude in real life so I always choose to be a menace in video games.
That’s why I liked playing Trevor in GTA. It gave me license to be ruthless, to shoot first and ask questions later. Because hey, it’s Trevor.

White Hat or Black Hat?
Arthur is going to be a bad guy. But your play style is your own and so you'll be making a lot of his choices for him. How will you play? I typically am a White Hat player. Mostly noble, honorable, avoid hitting pedestrians, don't shoot people or animals just for the sake of doing so. However, in GTAV, I played Trevor as a psychopath . Arthur will be kind of a bad dude, but maybe on the path of righteousness and so I'll play him as such.
How will you play?

Good eye. I didn't even notice that. I wonder how far they would take it. It would be cool for online if you can have your weapons engraved with your username or something.
That would be awesome. I'd love to see engraving options. But, not to burst any bubbles , couldn't it just be different knives you can equip?

There’s boats. There’s fish. We’re responsible for supplying the camp with food. ???? I think there’ll be fishing.
