It's a dilemma for sure.
Oh I for sure need it, gotta have it. Are you willing to pass on that? Only ever watch people enjoy it on Youtube or read about it in the papers?! Come oooon Benjo. You know you're buying that Special Edish.

I know what you mean about having as much extra content as possible, but for me the SE has some problems:
I don't like having an edge straight away, not in story mode. I want to play it as it was intended, not with perks and discounts making it easier. This puts me off buying the SE massively.
So true. Honestly, I wrestle with this a lot. Part of me doesn't want that edge. A large part of me I guess. Hell, I may not take advantage of it. It's why I'll never climb aboard that monstrosity of a War Horse. But I do stick by getting that bank heist and hideout. That alone, to me, is worth it.

For me, It's worth the extra money for the Special Edition merely for the additional story mode gang hideouts and bank heist. I want as much story content as i can get, and when I'm playing that hideout and robbing that bank countless times through the coming years, I won't be thinking "sh*t, i shouldn't have spent that extra 20 bucks on this." As for the outfit and the horses- eh, I don't need it. I do plan to do a lot of hunting though and so that boost to my 'environmental awareness' is going to come in handy too. I'll also score some free weapons and benefit from discounts and a dead eye boost. Like I said, I'll be enjoying all of these for years to come, so for me , it's worth forkin' over the extra skrilla bills.

Of course i can't find it now, but somewhere online I saw a timeline of information released for GTAV. If i remember correctly, RDR2 is following that pretty closely. Which would make a gameplay trailer just around the corner. Coupled with their most recent invitation to more press to view some gameplay, I think/hope they're gearing up for something big. But hell, I'll take some more screenshots at this point.

Could all be bull but the main take away, for those of you that don’t have the time to watch the video is this:
-Committing certain crimes will result in a wanted level and you’ll have lawmen on your trail.
-Bounties are back but you may not realize you have one placed on you until towns folk react to your presence unfavorably or you see your wanted poster(?). (Which you can take down). Bounty hunters (other players) can question NPCs on your whereabouts.
-To find bounties check wanted posters and newspapers.
- Players will only be visible on your map when they’re in a certain radius of you. Friends and crew will always be on your map, no matter the distance.
-Similar to time trials in GTA, there’ll be treasure hunts.
-Dead eye won’t slow down time Online but will allow you to X people.
-Houses can be bought. Tents may have different colors and features.
-Battle Royal mode tested but not approved.
-Your GTA character can not be ported but a heritage tree is featured in creating your Online character.

Perhaps the bounties could last for a while given the assumed lack of a radar feature. ....aside from the initial "ping" that shows their location at the time of the crime. It could also be fun to be the one who is wanted given the additional risk of being caught if recognized.
Maybe you would only be briefly marked when you get within close proximity to people who have viewed your wanted poster?
I'd love it if Rockstar were following this forum, we've got some awesome ideas.

It would be bad if your horse died but by golly imagine if your F-ing dog died
I’d cry.

I'm for it. 100% . You're basically describing Boomer's role in Far Cry 5 but I used him a lot so I'd love to one in Red Dead.

Because the margins are higher on digital download codes. There's no physical media for them to store in a warehouse, no shipping cost to them, and a decreased concern for piracy/resale.
By locking out physical preorders in the short term, they effectively herd folks into purchasing the electronic download instead.Well.....shit..

Anyone know why they don’t yet carry the physical copy?? It’s driving me insane.

Am I the only person who has never played that? I 100%ed RDR but have just never been interested in the zombie stuff, and definitely not interested enough to pay money for it.
No. I played it for like an hour or so 8 years ago and never finished. Something I’ve always meant to get back to but never did. Zombies always bored me too.

The Billiard Boys. To me, sounds better than "Bunch".

I am guessing this is cult/gang related in some way. They can't all be identical but the hair being the same sounds like some kind of cult to me.
I’d buy the bald guy, but I’m tellin ya, the woman is the same character design. Check it out.
-
Has anyone noticed in the gameplay trailer that all of the enemies are the same? Anyone she’s fighting is either a brunette woman or a bald man. I haven’t seen any mention of this online.

I liked the first one but it felt like it was overhyped a bit which worries me about this one. I will likely eventually play it but I will wait for a sale I think. I am not in a rush.
I blame the PS presentation for this. If you were watching it at E3, the entire crowd was kind of taken back by it and kind of dead so the main take away was the kiss scene. I was watching a stream on YouTube and the amount of people in the chat having a fit over this was astounding. You gotta figure to someone that isn't straight, a man kissing a woman or vice versa is a turn off to them but they don't make a big deal of it. Not gearing this at you Dave, it just kind of pissed me off.
Astonishing how many homophobs it brought out of the closet.

Is this the game with the lesbians? I could not remember what the game was called when I was talking to someone about it. I didn't play the first one so I really don't know anything about the story. Was it any good?
It's the game with the kick ass story and gameplay and wicked sweet graphics. And yes, the lead character is gay. You should play the first one. It's incredible. Part II will be game of the year for sure.

Anyone else looking forward to this?

Any thoughts on what these things could be?
1 hour ago, Purple Cactus said:I sure hope we can do more things in our dang houses/tents/whatevers this time around. GTAV was just meh with our apartment options. Like they should have allowed us to do some more things.
I think this’ll be tricky. An 1899 tent probably had a lot less entertainment then a modern day, million dollar, high rise apartment. But I’ll give it a shot.
....whittling.
-
My concern is that when the game is released, I’ll have a 4 week old baby in the house and won’t be able to throw myself into it like I’d like to.
Other than that, like Kean_1, I am pretty confident. Though I do worry about the micro transactions and the authenticity in Online. Please no pay to win or pink horses. ????????
