Fair enough, but isnt the best part of owning a Mule or Donkey or Burrow riding it?

At least you can go get one.

But I see what your saying, you actually want to be able to purchase and own one and I agree, we should have the option.

I hope in time we do actually, once we can buy properties and other business, ranches, etc.. ID like to buy some oxen, chickens, and pigs too, eventually.

No, the best part is being the weird old drunk guy that uses a donkey to do absolutely everything... but yeah, I do look forward to having all that stuff down the road...

  2. Not me. I can hardly keep up with console gaming, never mind keeping a PC up to snuff for gaming. For me, PC is pretty much only there for doing photos and work. I’ll keep my PS4 for games probably well into the the PS5s lifespan. (Or at least until they release a GTA or RDR that I just have to buy a new console to play).

There are two at Flatrock station or whatever it is called, behind the pigpen, I rode them the other ay and got a few others involved, you can easily take one for the day, for free.

Sure, but it’s not in your stable. It’s not yours to come loping over with a big ‘HEE-YAA’ when you whistle. you can’t just summon it back after someone kills it out from under you... I would give Red Liquor a rest if I could buy Jackass Drunk...

  4. I was once galloping through saint Denis... I rounded the corner and crashed head on into another player galloping the other direction. We both went down hard and we both died... Beyond that, I’ve never had a horse crashing contest to test it... Red Liquor does like to randomly slam me into trees, or crash into fences instead of jumping over them though...

LOL! Are you on playstation? I had a guy once wander into my camp and mooch some beer. He then left, so I let him go, but if an unknown player loiters for too long in my camp, I usually roll out the welcome mat by dropping the white flag and introducing them to my shotty!

I am on PlayStation. It very well may have been me I suppose. I like doing goofy random yet completely harmless things when I find other players around. It also tends to get me shot at a lot, but that’s half the fun.

Sometimes I go into towns, climb the highest rooftop I can where everyone can see, and dance the prospector’s jig. Almost without fail, everybody who passes by pulls out their rifle and aims at me while they try and decide wether I’m just a drunken idiot, or the set  up for some elaborate trap lol.

  6. Well, to be fair, if I’m feeling like stealing your wagon, all I know is an rival trader is making a delivery’. I don’t know Pluck is only level 3 or 5or whatever, or that he’s having a bad day for whatever reason. I just see an opportunity and make a quick decision... is it worth the risk? Am I in the middle of something else? Do I have time?

After all, we all have our plans. We just need more money.

  7. Personally, this is the type of purpose I’ve been craving since launch. Want my wagon? Come and try to take it. Want to keep your wagon? Try and stop me from stealing it... I hated the random senseless psycho killer thing going on. I see much less of this now and much more purposeful conflict. I’m happy with these changes and look forward to even more.

  8. One day, some NPC rode by and gave me lip. So I tied him up with my reinforced lasso and looted him... he had a tarot card on him...

If I was an **** completionist, I’d probably buy the maps. Since I’m happy enough wandering around and finding what I find I likely won’t bother...

really? The proper term for our backside equipment is censored?

  9. Well, no. There wasn’t radar in the 1800s. But people did have smell, sight, hearing, touch,  Peripheral vision... all that gets taken away looking at a tv screen. That is why games need to add things like radars and eagle vision...

don’t get me wrong, I completely get your point. It really isn’t in the flavour of a game set in the time period (or even our modern time period. In my 16 year army career I’ve never come across a piece of equipment that not only showed me a map, but the exact location of everyone around with hostile or friendly identifies).  But as for realism, it’s just not going to happen in a video game with our current technology... That’s why I buy old cowboy guns and replicas of old cowboy guns and hit the range for some cowboy action shooting when I can (and even that isn’t quite there, but it’s fun). Or head out to hunt and run trap lines. And fish.

  10. Well, this isn’t a LeMat, but the principal is similar (only it’s a six shooter without a little front stuffer shotgun). You can see the cutout in the side that allows you to drop in your powder charge, wad, ball etc... the. As you rotate the cylinder there is a lever built in that allows you to pack it all down. Then just add primer caps to the back nipples....

sorry, not sure why the pictures are blurry

Ok, so you want everyone to have no radar?

    LOL

    thats funny.

Well who knows man, maybe a no radar server in time, look at gtav after 6 years, flying motorcycles, and orbital cannons, so......

Actually no, I like my radar. As mentioned I a previous post, it’s what helps compensate for the fact that you are controlling a 2 dimensional screen (no matter how beautifully crafted to give you a 3D impression).

Isnt the radar optional? I thought you can shut it off or do I have that wrong?

    Maybe Im misunderstanding you.

I am pretty sure you can disable it still but I havent tried it, I love that damn thing!! lol.

I know you can in single player... never tried in online... but that would just be crippling  yourself while everyone else enjoys the benefits of the radar....

Its funny you mention the reload speed, I just watched a guy load a real Lamat, LOL you wont believe what is involved, you certainly arent doing anywhere near as fast as in the game, before the update never mind after.

It involves a ball, not a bullet, and you actually have to "press" like with a real press the ball into the hole, which is designed to shave off a part of the ball.
You also added powder with a little funnel, in there first, then a moistened pad, then the ball which you pressed in with a press.

They do this for an air tight seal, to avoid chainfires, which were very common back in the day.

Grease didnt prevent it or the little pad they put in that is moistened, both have a purpose but neither will prevent a chain fire from happening, so thinking about that, you literally need to sit at a bench to reload the damn thing, not very practical for day to day use like a sheriff or something, more like a one and done deal, you fire your nine and grab another gun til you can get to a press, lol.

Yes, cap an ball revolvers are quite the thing to reload... though I can have my six shot loaded up in maybe a little over a minute if I was on the clock.  Though the real way to do a fast reload is to carry an extra  cylinder reloaded ahead of time and swap them out.

yes, chain fire is a potential problem in these arms as well, though it is (mostly) preventable with good maintenance and proper reloading.  But your point is valid. The lemat was never a popular gun and the game makes it way overpowered... though still in the flavour of the game in an arcadey kind of way.... you should look up the volcanic while your at it. Another gun the game blew way out of proportion.

  14. Honestly, since the beginning, I’ve experienced disconnectedness at such a low level I haven’t even found it worthy of submitting a ticket (with the exception of a very brief period immediately following the previous update). I can get why people would be upset about constantly being disconnected.  But it just hasn’t been an issue on my game.
