I would have to disagree with the statement "All players are only one of those..." Most of us are cowboys. Whether or not we decide to be outlaws or gunslingers per R* definition is to determined. This cowboy generally runs as a gunslinger but if crossed the outlaw comes right out.

Camels in west Texas, peaceful Indians on the planes, and a cup of water for $1. That was really part of the not so wild, wild west. The east had more murders and crime in reality.

Charles and Arthur especially had a lot of honor when it came to farmers, ranchers, etc..
There is no reason to EVER sneak up on a guy fishing and kill them, none, its not honorable, its not necessary, it gives the killer nothing for it, no reason to do it other than to ruin someone elses time, go ambush npc's if you must, or go to pvp where everyone expects a gun fight, if you are one of the people who are an opportunist, and you just shoot at anyone that you happen to come across then you are part of the problem, you are trying to fice others to play with you, to play the way you want too and not letting them play the way they want too, that is the behavior of a spoiled kid acting like a brat, bwahh I want it my way and now im going to shoot you in the back just because I like that yay me!! its poor behavior.
There are so many examples in the story mode where the characters make it clear they dont ambush regular people, good people people they dont know for no reason are off limits
Not all players chose the honorable path. Some choose the dishonorable one. That is why some missions will not kick off if your honor is too high. Nix that thought. I run honorable but never back down.

There is definitely a ghost hack going around. Seen it half a dozen times this week. Have reported all instances to r* and xbox. Over Easter rode into an empty Tumbleweed, spotted 2 ghosted in a wagon. Did not appear on mini map. Sold to the butcher quickly and flick in and out of sales mode to see what the ghosts were doing. Happily executing every player that rode in. Could not shoot them. Dynamite did get them out if the wagon though.
There is definitely an app for Aim bot, Wall Hack, Invisibility, Auto reload, etc on a hack site. Not sure the validity of the app since I don't use them but they are out.

7 horses riding together is great. When you have 2 posse's is even better. Harder to communicate but fun to play. I would love to see the posse limit increase to 10.

I use my phone to PSN chat with them. It automatically translates what we say to their language. Works great. Especially with those that speak no English.

Now one thing im very very curious of: It was said somwhere that by using a certain gun You can increase its stats a bit and yes i noticed that.
I wanted to ask this on forum today. How does it work? does it only apply to one gun of each type? for ex i have a bolt action maxed out on stats - when i start using springfield will the stats on it increase and decrease on bolt action ? or the once increased stats by using a certain weapon stay forever? I bought semi auto shotgun and it sux compared to my repeater shotgun bcoz i have "exped" that shotgun since the start. I would like to exp the other shotgun too what i am doing now and curious about the whole thing. Cant find an explanation nowhere.
I haven't figured out the whole familiarity thing with the guns. I only read about it but there was no further information I could find on how it works. I can't even find the original thread I read it on now. I would also like to know if it is based on type or model. I have used the lancaster repeater but didn't want to get the evans if It was based on model.
Does anyone have further information on gun familiarity?

Practice on gang hideouts and small animals from horseback. Get good with that and it may help in PVP. You can also practice when you are being griefed since there are less players trying to kill you than PVP.

What's the point of just buying all the high end stuff. You're going to get bored faster, have nothing to work for and accomplish. It felt so good when I finally got to 58 to get my Foxtrotter. Then went on to the 80s to get fire rounds, then explosive rounds. Then all the special saddles. That satisfaction that I busted my ass to get to that point is what does it for me.
I'm rank 178 now. I don't actively try to rank but I still get 1 per full day of play. (Takes about 9-10k exp for me to rank right now)
Log in, make my money back upgrading cards. Play around with different set ups. I either hunt or do showdowns depending on how tired I am, with the occasional shenanigans with friends.
Us old school gamers know about grind. This game isn't that much of a grind but this is what you get when every kid gets a trophy!
I wan't it now or I quit. Waaaa!

I play because I enjoy it. Maybe too much. I set goals and try to make them. Let me see if I can get to lvl x by certain date, so much gold by x date etc. how many animals can I find to kill today. So much to explore can I see every inch of the map?
