    I hope so. Hunting was fairly easy in RDR. You could ride your horse at full gallop in Tall Trees, and suddenly three full-sized bucks would run right up to you. Yeah, that's not very realistic.

    I AM looking forward to killing a moose, though!

    One other thing - I'd love to see two separate changes with the "field dressing/skinning" animation:

    • I'd like the animation to be longer to be more accurate, as the three-second animation in RDR was pretty silly.
    • I'd also like to have the ability to skip the animation, which you couldn't do in RDR.

    Those are my thoughts.

    See, I keep mentally going back to Landon Ricketts (as it sounds as though you are also), but how would that makes sense?  Marston had heard of Ricketts in RDR, but by repute alone. Neither men had met one another before 1911. 

    The only way it would work is if Arthur somehow encountered a younger Ricketts (or, to your point, a younger Seth)  alone, without his gang. And doing it that way is so coincidental, it borders on feeling contrived. As if they did it just to give him/them a cameo in the game.

    I don't know. Maybe Marston will be reading young Jack a pulp magazine/novel called "The Amazing Tales of Landon Ricketts," or something. Then maybe we get to PLAY the story Marston's telling  as a younger Ricketts while Marston narrates?

    THAT, I think, would be cool.

    As for Seth -- it might be cool to see how he gets his creepy inclinations toward dead bodies. Maybe showing a childhood (or teenage) trauma?

    I don't know. I just hope it makes sense and doesn't seem thrown-in.

    Indeed. I have separate rubs for beef and pork, and a whiskey sauce that will knock yer socks off. (Not that the meat NEEDS it, of course . . . )

    Eh, if it isn't supernatural in nature, it'll just be "meh" to me. If they're going to do a "What If?" story, it needs to be really outside of the box, like Undead Nightmare was.

    NECESSARY EDIT: I realize in hindsight that this made me sound like an old fart, when I am, in fact, not. My daughter surprised us when I was 21, so this is this year I finally became twice her age. So there, @Truth.  ????

    Welcome, Stranger! Glad to have ya 'round the campfire.

    We're camping righ-'chere until the game's launch in October, and intend to talk about it until then -- mostly speculatin', mind you. And when the game launches, we'll get into the heavier discussion about the game's dynamics and should be a pretty nice resource for improving your gameplay.

    No, I don't wear a cowboy hat and ride a horse to work.

    . . . but I DO have a great barbecue pit and can smoke-up the best meats you ever tasted.

    So, you bring up a good point: if they did an undead/supernatural-themed online version, how would it differ from the regular RDR2:O? What happens if you're infected? Game Over, or do you play as a zombie? 

    These are the things Rockstar is thinking of now, so why shouldn't we also?

    Undead Nightmare 2?

    Had to resurrect this (pardon the pun) as I've been thinking quite a bit about it.

    I REALLY hope R* does something similar to this with RDR2. It doesn't have to be zombies this time, but I would like something with a spooky supernatural theme. 

    I'm not too keen on aliens -- as that's more sci-fi than supernatural. ????

    Maybe vampires? That might be a neat storyline. 

    Another creepy thing might be if a portal to Hell opened and demons started escaping.

    . . . OR, what about a group of serial killers wearing expressionless masks (a la Michael Myers) that can be shot and fall to the ground, but they always rise again? (Maybe you have to blow them up with dynamite?)

    . . . OR, I'd be fine with the dead rising again. I'm not really a believer in the idea that the entire concept is worn-out.

    This is DLC *I* would buy. Especially if they launch it around Halloween of 2019.
