Can't you just clean it? (I thought that's how it worked...)

Things you do just for fun within the game

Hard to tell, but there are 2 people cowering in fear behind the corpse wall in the second picture.

You should automatically have it only keep the most upgraded one
Must be a bug, this is specified in the guide.

Massive increase in capacity.
5 vs 99, I'll take 99 any day!

Well this eases my mind, but I'll remain nervous until I get past that lol
Regardless, it's nice that I'll never have to worry about having space. I can hunt for days and still have room for meat!
I shoot up a town and KNOW I'll enough enough space for their loot.
It would feel like a cheat code if it didn't take me all weekend to unlock...

I didn't even think you could get the panther to appear until later chapters.
After the first like 4 hours of not spotting it, I was starting to think the same thing. Then it jumped me from behind... As mad as I was, I was happy that I hadn't completely wasted all that time. Doesn't help that it can only spawn in 2 tiny sections of the map... Even with the guide, I had trouble finding it.
They programmed these animals surprisingly realistically. Keep in mind that you're hunting a predator that is also hunting you. You likely won't see it until it's already running at you (happened like 3 times). That's when I got patient. I found a good spot where I dropped some bait, hid behind a nearby rock and spotted it within a few minutes. I actually saw it long before it saw me.
More specific tip:
SpoilerIt spawns south east of Braithwaite Manor. There was a pile of bones near the crossroads where I noticed a random dead boar. Figured it was the panther's feeding grounds and dropped the bait there. The rock was just across the road. Watch on your left (directly west from that rock) using eagle eye and you should spot him. (this person marked it where the guide marks the map, I found it a little farther north)

I may try killing another just to make sure that tip was worth giving, but that's how I finally got it. Hopefully it will save someone else 5+ hours of trial and error...

the gold medal bullsh*t is annoying. the criteria is annoying, if you restart ANY checkpoint in ANY mission you VOID ALL criteria so you have to painstakingly sit through 20 minutes of chit chat bullsh*t only to do whatever stupid criteria within a 2 minute gunfight in the middle of a 20-30 minute mission. you can't restart retry or **** all. it's sh*t. it's ruined the game, i've had to sit through some of the missions 15 times. and **** me the game is a chore beyond a chore.
I missed your edit.
That does sound really frustrating... I guess I just don't care enough about the gold medals. I'll might go for it the second time around, but for a first play through I just want to take it slow and enjoy it. No sense in burning yourself out like that when the game has so much more to offer besides the story. I've spent more time exploring than playing story missions.

I did this but still all the flies are around me
Seriously? I've taken ONE bath (in game) and I've never had flies around me...
I didn't know that was a thing lol
You can bathe at hotel btw.
Edit: Looks like @Poggy got here first

Do old pelts make a difference? I'm actually trying to see if there is a limit to how many pelts your horse can hold.

when i'd done literally everything else the game had to offer and all that was left was story missions
Dude, I'm on chapter 2 still with at least 50 hours. There is PLENTY to do besides the story...
I've enjoyed the story so far personally.
What was "so sh*t" about the story missions? (without spoilers please)

How can i fix this?
I'd guess you probably just have to wait a few days in game, but I'm basing that off nothing... Just kind of makes sense that a cop wouldn't trust a bounty hunter that just got out of jail...

Could anyone confirm one way or other (in a spoiler block, with no story spoilers if poss) whether you unavoidably end up perma-losing anything during the game at any point?
Someone mentioned last week that your camp upgrades will reset, but I'm not sure if that was true.
Either way, someone had to be the guinea pig, right?

I just hope it can't be lost at any point in the story...
I would be REALLY mad if I had to go through all that again...

Started playing at 5 am Saturday. Didn't realize I hadn't eaten breakfast until about noon... I think I might have a problem... lol

Spent all weekend hunting for this thing... Took FOREVER! Spent like 6 hours hunting that mother****ing panther, but I finally got that son of a bitch!
I spent more time hunting for this satchel than playing the story missions. I'm still in chapter 2, but I think this satchel will prove to be worth having as I progress.

Anecdotally, I've had success with Bluegill in standing bodies of water, like lakes or ponds,
Same here. @PunkBuster I caught a lot of them near the Legendary Bluegill spawn.

you shouldn't be posting results of missions in the forums for other players to read.
That's not even part of a mission... It's just one of those weirdos you encounter from time to time...

I feel like I am one of the lucky few who doesn't have to deal with bounty hunters that often. Total bounty is around $320, but the only time i was really frustrated was when i was going to a javier mission on chapter 2.
Mostly depends where you are/what you're doing. I couldn't hunt or fish anywhere for a while because of my bounties. They would show up every few minutes, sometimes by the time I finished looting the previous group. I finally turned myself in and was able to play freely with no issues. I still have one bounty at $455, but I don't spend much time in that area anyway.
If you're just playing through the missions you probably won't encounter them too often. Spend more time exploring an area with a high bounty and they can get aggressive (and annoying)...
The loot adds up nicely though!

They'll show up for $15, those greedy pricks...

You definitely had to have shot up a town for that.

Patience is one thing, it being saved from wolves and then just disappear is another. More of annoyance if anything. I can't catch it with wolves around and that happened the only 2 times I saw it. It was gone before as soon as I dealt with them, which took no time at all, just the stupid dead eye animation and poof! gone.
I get it. I spent most of the weekend hunting a panther. First few encounters (after literally HOURS) the ****er jumped me before I could even react. I circled the only 2 areas it can spawn multiple times, switching between the 2 every few in game days.
I know exactly how it goes lol
I haven't tried this (I don't really bother with the horses), but maybe try dropping some herbivore bait in the area and post up somewhere. Try letting it come to you. That's what finally got me that panther.

Took about ten minutes to get close enough to pat.
I think this is the biggest problem people are having with this game. Things take A LOT of patience. IF you rush things, you'll just get frustrated. Stay patient and take it slow, you get what you want much more easily.

that time is on horse back traveling the same road I traveled already 1 million times.
Use the fast travel options... I finally realized how helpful they are this weekend, and I really wish I had been using them the whole time. Your horse comes with you, and it takes like 30 seconds to get across the map. Just keep in mind any animals on your hose will be lost (hides will stay though).

Bond is a factor in price, not sure exactly how much (don't have the guide with me).
