Try leaving the area for a bit. Try "resting". Try dying.

Try creating an extra manual save (just a precaution), exit the game COMPLETELY, and reload the game. This fixes a lot of bugs in many games.

I'm assuming you've checked your horse?
Not trying to say it's perfect, but it's also a MASSIVE game with tons of different interactions/options. Bugs are to be expected. When is the last time you played a game at release that was 100% perfect? I know I never have.

I haven't even bothered with the war horse. Just kept the one you start with. I almost lost him last night though...

That said, I still expect a Red Dead version of shark cards.
They'll probably just limit the buy-in so it's not a real way to make money (like in story mode).

Nice one!
I found out that if you fish in a canoe, you'll eventually be shot into the air (with the canoe) causing it to be unusable.
I also had my horse's head spontaneously combust yesterday.
Wish I had an easy way to post the videos (can't get onto youtube anymore).

The joke was that the dude had t start all over because his wife saved over his game. He was bitching about playing through the snow all over again and someone else said "dude, you can skip it by going hunting with Dutch" (or something along those lines).
It might be BS, but I figured it's worth a shot.

I spent the last 3 days just hunting and fishing. Trying to upgrade my satchel before I move on. I heard with the legendary one you can hold 99 of each item instead of only 5.

I was nowhere near any fires, nor did I see this light (I was actually right next to the shop). No clue what happened, but I had to revive my horse for the first time because of this...
Is spontaneous combustion supposed to be a random occurrence in this game?

Anyone know if this is actually true? I just watched it this morning, so I didn't have time to try it out.
I didn't even think to create a second save file after the beginning... Would've been a GREAT idea...

Quoting the official guide:
"Note that animals are one of a kind: once you kill them, they were looking not appear again. Be sure to skin them and take care not to leave any loot behind. If you do, note that irreplaceable parts required to create talismans/trinkets are automatically sent to the trapper."
Says nothing about the legendary fish and how they are handled.
