Wow dude... Calm yourself...
Most of the comments were people actually trying to help you...

Sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious...
You wouldn't be having these problems if you followed some of the advice here.

I ran right between trees during a mission and it was fine. I did have instances where the horse wants to push and move over, but that was only for really tight tree spaces, and I wouldn't think I would make it through it anyways so it didn't bother me lol .
I haven't really had any issues either.
Though, I was using the cinematic view during a mission and keeping pace with (whoever I was following) and it sent me right into a tree... My horse is drunk in cinematic view, he constantly starts trying to go in a circle, or bumps into things. Other than that, every tree I've run into deserved it.

By closing out of it completely this fixed it for me.
I noticed with another game that had MANY issues that completely closing games will prevent a lot of bugs. Ever since then, I've made it a habit.

he is dead after I had told him to flee
I made the assumption that the "flee" option was a way to abandon the horse...
Could that be the case?

I'm much more crude in my killing.
I find a long, narrow hallway, like the back of the saloon in Valentine. When I get bored I blow the head off of Frontier Jack (or whatever that blowhard's name is), and then retreat behind the barber stand with my back against the door. As they come in, they get funneled to the hallway and I unload with my dual scholfields. I'll take a picture of the corpse wall next time--I was too caught up in the moment when it was happening last night at 3AM
Well I no longer have to think about what I'm going to do when I boot up the game later...

You can't be scoped
Ah... Good catch!
I rarely use my scopes, so I didn't even realize that.
Glad you figured it out!

Springfield Rifle
That's a single shot (there's your problem).
Use the repeater.
I did this by shooting a bounty hunter (and his horse) and some bird that happened to be flying by (using a repeater).
HOLD aim (L2), engage dead eye (right stick), press R1 over each target, then shoot (R2) - now you can release L2
Took me a while to figure it out, but it's actually extremely helpful. Get used to it, and you can easily kill 7+ targets at once (and look like a badass in the process).

@Aimesleje @DylBandit @debbo89
SpoilerI appreciate you all using the "spoilers" option
Not sure why I came here knowing it would be full of spoilers, but it's funny to see the spoiler option being put to use.

there's all kinds of stuff you can do in RDR2 that I had not noticed or overlooked
Just realized yesterday that the "eagle eye" vision highlights lootable objects (bookcases, desks, etc).
Also just noticed yesterday that dead eye highlights kill shots on animals. That's really helping with perfect pelts! (wasn't paying attention when it was explained, so I just started using dead eye in chapter 2...)
@gigemaggs99 pointed this out to me, but I have yet to try it:

If I'm just traveling say from way up north to the trapper I select the trapper on the map, then go into the cinema screen and it takes me there all the way, no pressing A.
I know I have a few more (probably obvious) ones that I was oblivious to. I'll be back!

Imma learning to save the game after each pelt lol
ALWAYS. SAVE. THE GAME.
I may spend a lot of time in the menu because I save all the time, but it's better than missing out on something important for a stupid reason.
Accidents happen, it's nice to get a redo when you need it.

Not sure why they've appeared all of a sudden, they never used to have ads on this site.
Free website that someone has to maintain (plus it's an "unofficial" forum).
I can understand a few, but the website loads VERY slow on my phone now...
Edit: Also drains my battery REALLY fast if I forget to close it...

Even the police in RL take 24hours minimum to arrive after a burgulary.
You must have some shitty cops in your area...

I will try to do it like you said, thank you! But one thing I'm not sure about, when the stamina is blinking red, this is bad right? It shows the fast draining right?
I think you're supposed to time the button taps with the blinking. I might be wrong, but it seems to drain slower when you keep pace with that instead of trying to keep pace with your horse.
I spent a lot of time trying to outrun bounty hunters last night...

I agree...

Son of a bitch... I've wasted so much time...
Then again, you probably miss a lot by doing it that way.
Regardless, thank you for sharing that!

Don't you still have to press a?

Terribly sorry if i did spoil anything...i thought my answer was quite innocent really.
(logic says that if you don't have something yet but you know it's in the game, you'll somehow get it later?)
I don't think it was specifically in reference to your post, probably just a general statement.

I’ve got two trinkets made. One with a Lion claw and one from a Legendary Coyote, yet all my perks in the “player” menu is empty. I can see the trinkets in my inventory, though.
I assumed this was just some passive effect. I also made the one with the Lion claw, but I never thought anything of it really... I'll try to remember to look into it later.
(I also didn't know there was a place to view your perks...)

You forgot "spoilers"...
I'm sure you can catch a new one, but you'll have to bond with it again.

trapper bug

Posted
@boes Didn't you already post this?
If you die with a legendary skin, it goes to the trapper anyway (unless I misread something). You should be fine.
(Regardless you should always save when something important happens)
