Pic of my brand new pit smoker my kiddos and I put together this year. ????
I have a guitar, doesn't mean I know how to play it!
I think you just need to send us samples.

Over the summer we practiced making a charcoal grill into a smoker. Had some nice pork shoulder we shredded up for pulled pork sandwiches and tacos.
I just drooled a little...

Bring yer butt down to the Lone Star state, sir. I'll get right on it!
(But be warned, I have a daughter about five years younger than you. You're only invited for the BARBECUE, capiche?)
????
I've been wanting good barbecue for a while now... Probably since the last time we talked about it lol
We had some barbecue place cater at work a couple of months ago, but I had to go look at an apartment during my lunch break and I missed it...
As for your daughter, that's a topic I'm best off keeping my mouth shut for. I do appreciate the warning though.

. . . but I DO have a great barbecue pit and can smoke-up the best meats you ever tasted.
I'm going to need some proof of that...
Edit: Oh, and I'm about 20 miles west of @Freddie Mercury

@BropolloCreed79 I always knew you were a genius...

Yeah, just found on near Wrightwood ave.
There's another in highland park. You're like right in the middle of the 3 closest stores.

Well me and @Freddie Mercury went a little off topic here, but he got me to go buy a guitar.

I've actually never been to a guitar centre, i might search if there's one in Chicago.
I think there is, not sure though. If there is, I'll be driving down to Chicago tomorrow.
Arlington heights just off of 90
There's a few more around though. Not sure where you'd be coming from.

It's the thought that counts ????.
I will say that it sounds really good and I wish I knew how to play it. There's a guitar center right by work so I just ran over there on my lunch break.

Wow! I actually encouraged someone to do something?...
well that's a first.
Well this doesn't necessarily mean I'll actually learn how to play... Just means it's possible now lol

There's always the triangle . . .
I help out a coworker's band with sound when they play smaller gigs and have to bring their own equipment. Singer always plays a kazoo, maybe I could give that a shot? Hard to f*ck that up right? lol
@Freddie Mercury you made me decide to go buy a cheap guitar...
@Cokeyskunk can't edit my previous post, so forgive me for double posting.

It's hard at first, but just take your time with it And really focus on which technique suits you, and when you've found it. Use it when practicing.
I've made a few attempts, but couldn't keep myself interested. Doesn't help that I never had a real guitar to mess around with. Funny thing is, I'm the only one in my group of friends that doesn't play an instrument.

Even if I did get somewhere with the band, I doubt that I'd enjoy the fame, the fortune, and everything that goes with it ????.
I see what you did there!!!
I always wished I had the patience to learn how to play something.

Welcome Zhou, this forum is a far better way to make the time pass till Red Dead Redemption II then opium is.
That's debatable...

Wish I could, but unfortunately. They're no local bands in my town that are actually good, they're either bad or just mediocre.
Then maybe YOU need to start a GOOD local band!

So true, in today's society. It doesn't matter how talented you are, if you're not "relevant" or if you don't have a "trendy" look. Nobody gives a sh*t about you and what you do.
It's kinda sad to think about...
That's why people need to support their local bands. Tons of talent can be found there, but chances are you'll never hear them on the radio or see them really make it. Makes it really easy to just quit (regardless of how talented you are) when nobody shows up to see you play.

Where is that these days??
Long gone... They don't get popular enough to be mainstream, so they just fade away.

Can't we just go ahead and say most newer "artists"...? They're popular for 1 song for a while, then they're only popular because of the dumb sh*t they do to stay relevant... Hell, I'd go ahead and say 95% of the entertainment industry as a whole.

There's a serious lack of skill based PVP in GTA Online, it's non existent in Freeroam. It doesn't even feel like Grand Theft Auto anymore, everyone has the armaments of a small country so it's more like a third person Battlefield game these days which means new players don't even have a chance.
I have to agree with this. I popped in gta to screw around for a bit this weekend. I was doing heists for a while and they weren't too difficult. Eventually, I got into a group with 2 higher level players (like 150+) and found that they didn't need me at all. They had what appeared to be a delorean (which could fly) and they were shooting rockets. How the hell could I possibly stand a chance if I were up against them?
I did a few heists with a different group later on too. We finished a heist and (I thought) we started loading into a new one. Before I even realized we were back in the regular GTAO (where you need to bank your money or you lose it) one of the people I was just playing with killed the rest of us... Not sure why it would drop us all back into the game right next to each other, but that was bullshit... He probably made an extra 100k for that move. Can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing, but that shouldn't even be possible...

Good sh*t! I always thought you would've done great on the F13 forums. Always respectful, but with you're own kind of funk.
I'll try not to keep you too busy lol

I can understand that. Microsoft also made subtle changes with the new controllers that really make a huge difference. The 360 controllers just feel awkward to me now, even though they are very similar.
They had years to research how to make the controllers as comfortable as possible. Haven't used a ps4 controller, but I would assume it would be far more comfortable than the ps3 controllers (which I also felt were very light).
