    Help?

    Kill?

I spotted that in the video, seems like a tough one. Who the hell is it? How would you benefit from saving him? What happens if he dies? Is it a trap?

Putting things like this into a game really helps make the experience more personal. Might be one of those moments where I just push every button at once and see what fate decides lol

Fairly active the first few months after launch, lately not so much.

That explains it pretty well. I got on the forums around august last year. Got the game like a week after digital release though.

Once they REALLY started deleting posts (and banning top members) it was very clear the way things were heading. The issues with the game are one issue, the way they (Gun, not necessarily the mods) deal with community is a whole other ballgame though... I still check it, but with how quiet things are there I don't really mind being banned. It's not like I'm missing out on anything important. As you said, that place just kind of got sad and depressing. All you really see are suggestions that will never happen and people stating "no new content" over and over again. What's there to discuss?

The worst part is, this was their own doing. They really had a chance to redeem themselves after the announcement, but they seemingly did everything they could to make themselves fail...

Great game (despite the bugs), worth buying (when I did), but it still burns...

It's good to see you man.

Migrated here expecting my suspension. Wasn't expecting a permaban... Pretty quiet here, but it should start filling in soon.

Glad you made it to safety!

Like, if you do as you say and acquire a special gun in multiplayer, modify it, add embellishments, etc. -- but if you get killed, you have to re-acquire it. Whether it be to race back to your death site or to get it off the person who picked it up from you. (whether by purchase, by trade, or by force.)

I like and hate that idea... Really depends which side of that I'm on though lol

I don't care for funk either.

Rockstar obviously didn't give the playstyle of trolls, griefers or tryhards a second thought when developing GTA Online otherwise they wouldn't of decided to include Passive Mode, infinite explosives or a Kill Yourself option.

    Saw this story yesterday:

Clearly not considering the trolls with this...

So then, we had to get away from Jason AND troll counselors!

That pissed me off when they removed that from Friday the 13th.

Still say reflective damage is the way to go. Too late now I guess...

    GO GET 'EM, @Truth!!! ????

Always. The only trolling I do is against other trolls.

Not sure why (probably because it was brought up yesterday), but I decided to play a match last night. Jason sucked (I literally ran right past him in a hallway), so I was just messing around by myself. Got the 2 seater fixed and picked someone up. He didn't seem to care, so I decided to just drift back and forth for a while (you can do a full 180° now). Apparently some people thought that meant I had an open seat because like 4 people ran over to me on the other side of the map. Accidentally ran over 2 of them. One left, the other came back as Tommy, so I gave hopped out and let him drive it out. A few minutes later Jason left. That was a good display of several issues with the game that can never be fixed... Felt bad about it though, I really didn't mean to hit them...

I'll stop ranting about nothing important now that my lunch break is over lol

They go out of their way to just crap on someone for not playing how they expect them to or just to be a general dick.

Not just that, but it also creates a domino effect, especially with the younger gamers. They see one person troll another, which makes them want to try it. They troll someone else with it, ruining the game for that person, which also makes them aware of it and more likely to do the same thing.

In Friday the 13th, we used to have teamkilling. It really made the game more interesting. Trying to save someone also meant you risked killing them accidentally, making things more realistic. Unfortunately it was abused, so they removed it. They literally said "we can't have nice things". This was a great feature that made things more interesting, but we have too many trolls these days that can't play nice with others.

It's sad, but the people developing games really need to take that into consideration. There are just as many trolls out there as there are people who just want to play the game as intended. There's no avoiding them, and nothing you can do to stop them (in most cases) so developers need to think about that when creating the game. With every new feature, they need to think "how can I use this to piss someone off/ruin their gaming experience" and change it as necessary.

    Edit: sorry for the rant

But will they do anything to keep the garbage described above from happening?

I sure hope so, that's pretty shitty... Gamers these days are so damn selfish...

I have no issue with screwing over your competition, but screwing over a teammate like that only gives your opponent a chance to steal the win. People like that shouldn't be allowed to play games online...

    Gosh, since I started re-playing RDR, I don't think I've played Friday the 13th for close to two months now. I'm such a fair-weather fan . . . ????

I've only played like twice since the last update and only because my buddy wanted to. I only booted it up to see for myself how bogus it is offline. I knew it was limited, but I thought I could at least use my dlc...

I was having a nice morning enjoying my coffee reading the forums until you had to bring this up.  Thanks.

I would've posted it elsewhere, but... You know... lol

It's bad enough to be level locked at 0 offline, but we should at least be able to use the dlc... We really need those local saves more than dedicated servers.

What are the pros and cons of a digital copy?

One con to buying digital games is if your internet goes out. This happened to me last weekend and it made me realize that most of the games I had downloaded needed internet in order to play (or in order for them to be fun). The good offline games weren't installed, so I had very little to do all weekend. As soon as my internet came back on, I downloaded a few games to keep my occupied in case it happens again.

In short, if you own it digitally you won't have access to the game at all if your internet goes out (unless it's already installed). You'll always be able to install the game off a disc though. Might not be a concern for most people, but it's a con to digital copies that became an issue for me recently.

@Cokeyskunk, I couldn't even use Savini (even though I have the DLC installed) in offline bots. I never heard anyone complain about that before.

    *glove slap*

I'd throw in a gif but we have important people at work today and they're working at the table behind me... At least this sort of looks like it might be work lol

Still think the town drunk would be a good rank though.

    How about this?

    Cowhand - 0
    Rancher - 10
    Cowboy - 100
    Gunslinger - 200
    Sheriff - 300
    Outlaw - 400
    Gunslinger - 600
    High Plains Drifter - 800
    Marshal - 1000
    Legend - 1500
    True Grit - 2000

    You have gunslinger twice.

We need a town drunk on here! Who rambles more than the town drunk?
