I was using the cinematic view during a mission and keeping pace with (whoever I was following) and it sent me right into a tree... My horse is drunk in cinematic view, he constantly starts trying to go in a circle, or bumps into things. Other than that, every tree I've run into deserved it.
Can you imagine the trainwreck that RDR2 Online is going to be if they allow Cinema mode?

That's a single shot (there's your problem).
Use the repeater.
I did this by shooting a bounty hunter (and his horse) and some bird that happened to be flying by (using a repeater).
HOLD aim (L2), engage dead eye (right stick), press R1 over each target, then shoot (R2) - now you can release L2
Took me a while to figure it out, but it's actually extremely helpful. Get used to it, and you can easily kill 7+ targets at once (and look like a badass in the process).
I'm much more crude in my killing.
I find a long, narrow hallway, like the back of the saloon in Valentine. When I get bored I blow the head off of Frontier Jack (or whatever that blowhard's name is), and then retreat behind the barber stand with my back against the door. As they come in, they get funneled to the hallway and I unload with my dual scholfields. I'll take a picture of the corpse wall next time--I was too caught up in the moment when it was happening last night at 3AM

I mean, at that point, all I plan on doing is waiting for RDR2 Online to go live. Sure, I'll finish the main story, but right now, I'm just wandering around, and having a grand ol' time just taking in all the little hints and details that they put into the game.
It's the most immersive thing I've ever played, and the fact that it has been able to suck me in without any sort of online component thus far is a testament to the work and effort R* put into this game. It's a complex, BEAUTIFUL masterpiece, one that I expect will continue to pay dividends for a long, long time.

When I get there I'll let you know. @Benjo will shake his head when I reveal that I'm STILL in Chapter II.

Selling both Legendary and Perfect pelts to the Trapper unlocks the recipes for the clothing: you do not need to hold onto perfect pelts in your inventory.
I knew this was true for Legendary pelts, but it holds true for perfect pelts as well.
There are also a TON of side businesses to rob without incurring Honor penalties OR bounties. You just have to keep a look out for "irregularities" in buildings that indicate hidden or inaccessible rooms.

I mean, I guess you could just use up all the regular ammo and not buy anymore, but it seems like a waste of money.
If you want the easiest $50 ever:
SpoilerFast travel to Strawberry. Walk to the front of the general store and under the walkway in front by where you hitch your horse. There's windows into the basement. If you use your "look" function, you'll discover a moonshine still in the basement that operates as a side business. This can be robbed. Go up, put on a mask, walk in, point gun at shopkeeper, and rob the side business.
As long as you have your mask on, you can loot his cash stash of $50, with no warrant or bounty being placed.
As a bonus, on your way out, you can rob the register, too. Dude stays in the basement and you can walk away scott free with anywhere from $50-$100. Not bad for two minutes of work.-

Thanks for reminding me how much I hate Micah. ✊

I think Rockstar should add Fancy Dresses and hats, I think it would be really cool. (For online)
You're waaaaaaay too sophisticated for my tastes.
When online hits, I'll be waiting for overalls and straw hats with baited breath. Moonshine runner or bust.
Speaking of moonshine:
SpoilerDid you know the general store in Strawberry has a moonshine still as a side business that you can Rob? It's an easy $50, and NO bounty!

Well im in chapter seven, money is scarce, every mission puts a bounty on you, sh*t every time you fart you get two more so please don't try to defend these retarded game mechanics. They need to be addressed
You're anthropomorphising the game's mechanics. Plenty of people seem to be able to do it just fine. Perhaps a new or different approach to hunting is needed? More finesse, less traipsing around on horseback? I've never had this problem personally, but I always hitch my horse to a tree when hunting, and the only time I encounter bounty Hunter is when I start a fight intentionally.
I can successfully Rob
SpoilerThe O'Driscoll side business in Valentine
and only get $1.50 bounty. You know what the easy part is?
SpoilerLiterally Sprint to the sheriff's office next door and surrender. You make 48.50 every time, if not more. It's also a great way to earn dual Scholfield Revolvers early on.
1 hour ago, DylBandit said:Exactly. The town is a big no-no for guns. There are just too many witnesses, and you will be dead before you know it. However, if you're in a rural area, and you commit and murder, make sure you kill all the witnesses around you, or the law will be coming.
SpoilerYou can also hide bodies in Valentine in the pig pen. The pigs will eat it. Yes, I've watched it happens.
1 hour ago, Poggy said:What do you mean?
You will only be permanently broke if you continually rack up large bounties, and you'll only be doing that if you keep committing obvious crimes in towns and shooting the law when they come to arrest you.
I want to thank you for reminding me, once again,
SpoilerHow much I HATE Micah. I can't wait for the chance to turn his head into a canoe.

Also, there is a man in the main saloon who is cursing out the others and looks like he is someone of interest, is he?
Not sure. I he doesn't bother anyone in Valentine when I play.
Because I shot him in the face. With a shotgun, no now he's just shoulders and a stump.

I must have been lucky. Just did this last night and only had a $110 bounty. I wore my executioner hood, and used deadeye liberally.
I was more pissed about the hit to my honor.
Really do not like Micah. I wish I could have put a bullet in him instead.

It locks if you are on an active mission. Save BEFORE you talk to someone to start a mission, not during the mission.

Really? I need to try this!, I usually reach Level 1 bonding not long after taming them. The most I've sold a horse for was $5.20, I believe they were a Hungarian Halfbred and a Thoroughbred. Morgans, Kentucky Saddlers and Tennessee Walkers seem to be worth half as much. I have found Appaloosas and Nokotas in the wild but haven't tamed them yet.
It's inefficient from a cost-benefit perspective. You need to feed and invest time with that horse before selling it, when its quicker and easier to steal from folks or murder encampments of O'Driscolls. They're usually good for anywhere from $15-$50 in loot to the fence if you clean them out each time--all for 2 minutes of work.

Here's a crazy idea.... Why not launch your game and see what happens?
To be fair, if he hasn't opened the game yet, he can still return it (as he indicated it's a physical disc, as opposed to a download). In the event the issues with his ISP persist, why open the game and "test" it if he's going to immediately lose the opportunity for a full refund if it doesn't work?
THAT'S why the question is asked. If he already opened the game, then you are 100% correct--he's past the point of no return and should just let it play out.

I´m not a big fan of this game
So... you came to a forum for the game?
1 hour ago, Poggy said:It's a truly great game, but across the board 10/10?? Not convinced.
It's laughable that they can grade an incomplete game when the online mode hasn't even been released. Are they only grading the story mode? Fine, but the game is riddled with bugs and errors. I can't tell you how many times I've had to shoot someone or choke them to death in a fistfight after ten minutes of beating the crap out of them because they won't go down.

No idea why they removed Liar's Dice, but I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it.
I'd be willing to bet it comes back in RDR2 Online, with the caveat that only actual people can play, not npcs

Not kidding.
It costs less than a dollar at the Valentine hotel.
always pay extra for the "assistance". Arthur gets pretty lonely out there on the prairie...

Anyone shot a Lion lately?
I had someone being attacked by a Mountain Lion. I used deadeye to kill them both.

Who wants to play a game where you can't do anything without bounty hunters ruining it?
