yeah? my horse died from when i took the train it was in front of the train and would not move...
My horse was lost because I jumped off of it near the post office and then the horse somehow ran onto the tracks while a train was coming, and unfortunately died.

I can't wait to see the customization in this game, hopefully, there is a lot of outfit options.

something like forza has where the more work you do as a team the more rewards you get would be cool
I believe they would implement ranks, that's my ideal assumption.

maybe
That would be awesome, and you get exclusive items for being in an outlaw gang.

i agree hope the posses will stay even when you leave
Or maybe there will be a gang kind of thing similar to crews in GTA Online.

Yeah, there will be definitely a lot of activities to do with friends. I really hope the posse system is a lot better.

......*Saint Denis.
I think it's also fair to acknowledge that some players are simply overstating their experience though as a few of the explanations I've heard have clearly show they are takking a hamfisted approach to the game. I'm not saying that is necessarily true for all who have complained about the bounty mechanic but I also believe that at least a portion of those players are a victim of their own actions. .....in other words, the game is working as designed in those cases but it's simply a matter of either not understanding or not wanting to understand how it does.
The bounty, detection and witness system is more complicated than some know and quite frankly, R* does a pretty lousy job IMO at describing it for players. ....with information scattered in tips, etc. within the game or sometimes not at all.
I posted the following in another thread but thought it might be of some help here as well. ......and this doesn't even cover all aspects of these mechanics:
There is a method to the madness and deeper than some understand. Here is a pretty decent explanation
Witnesses
The first thing to understand is witnesses. Any individual or individuals who see Arthur commit a crime, from disturbing the peace to cold blooded murder, will become witnesses. You can see these witnesses marked on the mini-map with an eye symbol. Use a mask around them and stop and intimidate them into not talking if there is only one of them.If you do not use a mask, witnesses will immediately recognize you as Arthur Morgan. You will know if they have recognized you are not, as it will either say 'Unknown Suspect' or 'Arthur Morgan' underneath the Wanted sign in the top right.
This wanted loop, via Reddit user BurayanFury, comes from the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app, and provides the best breakdown of the Wanted and Bounty system, and how to never get a bounty.
White eye witnesses
If the eye on the mini-map is white, they know some kind of commotion has occurred, but they don't know by whom or what. As long as you flee the scene quickly, you will get no bounty, as they do not know your identity to report to police.
Dark red eye witnesses
These witnesses didn't get a good look at you either, and so as long as you have not committed a crime in that same area before wearing the same clothes and you are wearing a mask, simply escape the scene and you will not get a bounty.
Bright red eye witnesses
These witnesses have seen the crime and know exactly who you are. These witnesses you definitely want to stop and intimidate them into not talking. However, if there are multiple dark red eye witnesses, you are best to just flee the scene and accept your bounty.
Lawmen
Lawmen appear to have super powers in Red Dead Redemption 2, as even if you are wearing a mask, they will immediately recognize you as Arthur Morgan through any disguise. If this happens, you will get a bounty. If you recently had a bounty in an area, and you return to the same area with the same clothes, hairstyle and horse, you will be instantly recognized when you commit another crime, even if you have a mask on.
If worst comes to worst, and you do get a bounty, you simply need to head to a post office to pay it off.
At lower wanted levels, when you haven't committed crimes too severe, you will also get the option to surrender to the law. In this case, you will taken to a local jail where you will wait out your sentence, but members of your gang will also come to help break you out.
Awesome chart.

Definitely Grand Theft Auto series, and Red Dead series.

I was thinking this over and the legal "gambling" age in the US is anywhere from 18 to 21 depending on the state you live in. The game itself is rated M so it is meant for 17 and older. Since you can be 17 and play this game, it means you legally can't gamble. Then we have to take into the account that the online end of the game will likely be labeled as "unrated" as most are. You can't really put a rating on online games that have player to player interactions and communication as many will swear and say obscene things that would be marked above the M 17+ rating.
Knowing all this, there really isn't a logical work around here. The only way they can allow gambling in game is if players can only use money earned by missions to buy chips to play at a table. You'd need two separate wallets for this. Even still, it is simulating real gambling which again, 17-year-olds can't legally do here. I can see why it is thin ice now but this is the only workaround I can think of that wouldn't get Rockstar in trouble but it still might be questionable.
I think you will be able to make in-game currency bets. Kind of how GTA V did it.

My name is Andrew, I'm 58, from Vancouver, Canada. I'm a child of the video game age, my dad bought "Pong" when it came out. Wow, we've come a long way. Like it says in my profile page... in 2003, while playing GTA Vice City, I found myself pulling my car over to watch the sunrise and listen to a favorite song on the radio. At that minute, I knew Rockstar had changed gaming forever, and I liked it.

Than I would suggest reporting it. .....don't quote it again.
I swear, I can't go anywhere without worrying someone is going to ruin the rest of this game for me.
Yes, we are searching and looking to take action against spoilers. Make sure you guys please report them as soon as possible if we can't find them in time before people start reading them. The forum is getting much bigger, and information gets scattered everywhere, unfortunately.

so I've read some people having problems with bonus content not being available but nothing quite like mine that I could find. So I pre-ordered the ultimate edition and have been playing since I got it in the mail. BUT I justttttt put the code in to redeem my bonus content. It said it downloaded it and had me launch which just took me to my current game I was already playing, but none of the stuff was there. I went to my wardrobe=nothing, went to the stable=nothing, went to settings to see if bonus was turned on=nothing. any ideas?
Maybe there was an error when you installed the files. Try reinstalling, and restarting the game again, and check the stables. Also, to obtain your outfit, make sure you are at your wardrobe at the camp, not the general store.

I saw some good deals for monitors if your into that kind of thing.

Cool set up, I like it. My speaker is set up is basic stereo. Honestly, I'm trying to fix the problem, because I don't like the sound quality I have when I plug the aux into the PlayStation controller. The PS4 Slim doesn't come with an Optical port, only the original PlayStation does, so I'm not sure how to make a workaround to get a more direct and better quality sound feedback from the game.
Currently, I have my receiver hooked up with my speakers, and I ran an AUX cable from both speaker ports to the controller. So in order to get sound, I have to use the aux, because my monitor doesn't come with a headphone jack or built-in speakers. I'm trying to find a solution right now because I don't like the quality coming from the PS4 controller output, it doesn't sound bad, but it can definitely be a lot better. Also, these speakers are just stupid loud, but the AUX connection seems to not bring up the volume as high as let's say Bluetooth, and god forbid PlayStation doesn't allow anything that's not PlayStation branding to be paired with the PS4, they will never support it, because the system is like what 5 years old now? Very disappointed PlayStation doesn't allow to pair any Bluetooth device we want. That's a complete shame in my opinion, makes life more difficult to get the results and set up you really want.

Ahhh, yes. It's that time of year again when hard decision making is painful, as everyone selects their favorite title of the year. The battle in my mind between God of War, and Red Dead Redemption 2 wasn't an easy decision. Don't get me wrong, God of War was a fantastic game, without a doubt. However, Red Dead Redemption 2 was more of my style, and taste which is why it got my vote for this year.
Also, if you haven't already, go vote! The game awards will be announcing which title won each category, so do your part and vote on the title you found to be the best this year.

Did you clean special for the picture or do you keep it that clean?
My gaming area is a mess. I use two of them IKEA tabletops as a desk. I have my computer on one and my TV on the other with my consoles. I have crap everywhere though. I'll likely be cleaning it over the weekend so I will snap a pic after.
I usually keep it this clean to have more space. If it gets to messy I feel isolated.

I've streamed quite a few times but I have PS4. It's so easy, I have the PlayStation Camera, and I just use that and hang it on my monitor so it faces me directly, and there is a live stream option in the PlayStation UI already, so that feature is very nice.

Did any of y’all find that guy skimming stones in the dakota river as arthur? after finishing the game, if you head there as john, you find out he has married lily-may but he hated the marriage, saying that john reminded him of a man a few years ago who told him to talk to her... If you chose the nice route with him, that’s arthur. He then says arthur ruined his life, which seems very harsh, as arthur was just trying to help. Sadly, John doesn’t realise its arthur, and so he doesn’t say the news to the guy
Nice find, might have to check that out myself. Thanks for the share.

Be extra careful while brousing RDR2 topics and tutorials on YouTube. There are tons of spoilers, especially in the comments. Some are clearly planted there to mess with your day, using one short line that you really can't help seeing even while quickly skimming over the list. If you hate spoilers (who doesn't) I'd avoid the comments altogether!
Best to almost ignore the internet entirely when you're trying to stay away from spoilers. The internet is just too dangerous when it comes to spoilers, which is why I pretty much ignored going online until I was finished with the game.

Who wants to play a game where you can't do anything without bounty hunters ruining it?
in Red Dead Redemption 2
Posted
I kind of like bounties. I like the challenge of wave after wave trying to kill you because, without the bounties, the game wouldn't be so action-packed, it would literally be do anything you want without having trouble, and to me, that would get boring. I need good gunfights.
