  1. Hi @Prior2142

    Welcome to the forum!

I saw that you have posted this in the "Introduce Yourself" subforum and I also wanted to inform you that I had gone ahead and moved it to Red Dead Redemption 2. Please make sure you are posting in the appropriate category so we can keep things tidy, and easy to find.

Again, welcome to the forum, and I hope your experience here at RDR2.org is above and beyond your expectations. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me, or one of the staff members.

    With appreciation,

    Bandit 🤠

Do you want to rule the west? Murder, burn, and pillage everything you see? Are you toothpaste and orange juice, step on legos, hardcore, tough skin mean guy and you want to be surrounded by people just like you?

Well too bad. That’s the Wild Bunch. We’re…
    The MILD Bunch.

A group of outlaws who are really just looking to make friends, and run around together. Mischief, more than mayhem, we’re a mixed bag of players who wanted something a little more casual than the raid level intensity of other groups. There’s no interview, no strict hierarchy, just a bunch of gamers who enjoy each other’s company and want to hang out with other fun people. We consider ourselves on the border of serious and casual, leaning more toward casual. We’ll run events and plan, but if you don’t want to join those sorts of things, and just want people on your friend’s list who will always be down to posse up, we’ve got that covered too. Even if you just want friends who play the game, and a place to gush about it, we’re all over it. Of course, there will be murdering and we DO intend to have a branch of the posse that runs our patch of land, but we also have plenty of players who just want to fish, gamble and be merry.

So we look forward to seeing you in our Discord (PM or comment for an invite to it), but if not, see you out there on the plains, hopefully on the right side of our shotguns.

    Hello @bitHead

First and foremost welcome to the forum!

Your introduction for your posse was a brilliant read on my end, and I hope the best to you on recruiting. Also, may I suggest you to the "Introduce Yourself" thread?

I know a lot of shows start up in January after the holiday season. I haven't been watching much lately. I am trying to find some new shows to get into for when I have some downtime.

Anyone know of anything good coming out in early 2019?

I know that not bathing and looking like you've been through Hell can affect NPCs interactions, but.. Can your honor as well? Like if I get really low on honor will my gang members start to speak and act differently towards me? And what about regular NPCs in towns and out in the wild?

Have read about the perks of high honer.. Costumes, discounts, etc. But I haven't heard this mentioned and I was curious.

    Welcome to the forum @Xiertic

I don't believe the honor system affects NPC behavior, in my experience at least.

    Cheers 🤠

Can anybody tell me the name of the song when Arthur goes back for the money in the last mission of chapter 6? I cant find the song anywhere

    Hi @Dragaunis

First and foremost, welcome to the forum!

Secondly, with your interest in the question, can you be more specific? There is a bunch of soundtracks during this process, and I would like to pinpoint exactly which soundtrack you are talking about.

Also, be sure to use spoiler tags when explaining spoiler content, even if it's very minor spoilers, a spoiler is still a spoiler. I've gone ahead and put a spoiler hider on your post, but please remember next time, as we don't want to ruin others experience.

    Regards 🤠

You break Micah out of jail

I failed the mission partway through but when I reloaded the checkpoint Arthur had completely changed into a random outfit that I did not even own!

Not that i'm complaining at all, the outfit looked pretty cool actually and when I got back to camp I saved it to customs so I got to keep it.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Nope, this hasn't happened to me. Possibly somehow the outfit you had previously didn't save?

I went into this game feeling like I would hate Arthur but seeing how he made Marston the man he was in part 2 (or RDR) made me have respect for him in the story.

Not only that, but he felt more raw and real. I actually ended up liking Arthur WAY more than I thought I would.

Same for me, and I agree.

I've just killed a rancher in his home, after leaving the shack and returning within two minutes he was alive again. Is this a bug or is it just how the game plays. Thanks!

It's pretty much how the game works. Eventually, the people will respawn again.

rockstar you need to learn how to make story missions, not awful.

what is the point in creating a story if you expect people to skip all the cutscenes to get a shitty pointless gold medal? it should be 50 gold medals not 70. you've ruined your own game by forcing everyone that wants this shitty medals to play and replay and replay the same boring sh*t missions over and over and over and over, skipping all the pointless stuff you spent all theese years making whats the point?

after like 100 hrs i think i barely started chapter 4. all because i spent up to 7 hrs on one mission sometimes.

i bet this game has broke allot of sales records, but **** me in cex there was about 50 copies of the game. so i bet it broke trade in records too.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience @juxax

Not everyone in the world will love the same video game, as it's all subjective. Hopefully, you can find a video game that sparks your interest 😃

Obviously, it's totally up to parental choice

I, for example, am very lenient regarding that kind of stuff - I grew up watching wholly inappropriate media etc.

But, to be clear, the game is an 18 in Europe; it deals with multiple adult themes and has clear adult content like: violence, sex, drugs, racism, rape, alcohol, smoking, gambling, torture, murder, crime, swearing, slavery, prostitution, guns, knives, and the such like.

I would imagine most parents wouldn't approve of this material for non-adults, especially non-teens.

    1

That's a decision the parent has to make. I remember being that age and playing San Andreas with hookers, blowing peoples heads off, stabbing people, robbing, and it was fun. I clearly never grew up to be a serial killer after my childhood obviously, but Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't for the faint of heart for younger children. If you're worried about the graphical content for the child, simply don't let them play. It's a game about the wild west, and it's pretty realistic... BLOOD WILL BE SHED!

I've learned children are really stubborn. If you tell them not to do something or play something or watch something, it's in their nature to crave and spark enormous interest in doing that specific thing. If the kid really wants to play, and you won't let him/her play, they will most likely find a way to play anyways at a friends house.

    Kids these days! 🤷‍♀️

I am not sure why they didn't give us a date but I guess they learned their lesson from promising dates. Either way, I am looking forward to hopping on it soon as it launches and goes live!

They learned their lesson as well, which is probably why they won't give an exact release date as they don't want to promise something they can't keep.

You mean older as Ghosts and prior to Ghosts or everything after?

Cod Black Ops 1 and 2 were the best games they made to me. MW3 was also decent but the rest of them, I didn't much care for.

Older. As in 2012 or older (2012 and prior).... 2011, 2009, etc etc.

Black Ops 2 came out in 2012, so anything 2012 and older is the best Call of Duty's of all time. Anything prior after 2012, I don't really care for, and that's where Call of Duty (in my opinion) ended.

I hope this is true man. I am still going to wait just cause I don't want to put my time into the game, really enjoy it, and something happens in beta that causes me to lose all my stuff or something.

Rockstar will more than likely address our progress will either stay with our character or be erased after the Beta phase, we just have to wait until they give us more information.

and we know theres a battle royale mode

Yes, there is a Battle Royale mode. However, it won't be the main part of the game, as Battle Royale in Red Dead Online, will most likely be a small-scaled mode, nothing close to the size of Fornite and other games Battle Royale based games. Rockstar has claimed it's going to bring back the best things about GTA V into the Red Dead Series which is Heists, and all the DLC content that made it really fun, that kind of stuff will be in Red Dead Redemption 2.

And owning property like in GTA would be nice

Owning property in Red Dead Online has already been found in the game files and confirmed. I made a post about this particular subject, which can be found here: https://www.rdr2.org/forums/topic/1461-leaked-list-of-vehicles-properties/

What are your thoughts between the two character's personal stories and struggles?

      Reveal hidden contents

I find myself feeling more in tune with Arthur after having completed the story. John's story felt more impactful in RDR than it does now for me having seen the "before". Arthur felt like the guy that made John who he became. A family man who put his priorities in check. Throughout story we see John constantly fly off the handle or at least come close to it and Arthur is kind of there to set him straight. It is like he molded him into being the character we loved so much in the first game. Maybe this is just me but I am curious to see what you guys think.

Honestly, Arthur Morgan was just a great character, and I actually liked him so much more than John Marston. Don't get me wrong, he's still a good character, but Arthur Morgan was just so good, the voice acting, the story, everything about Arthur was pure legend.
