i was one of the few people that loved the beginning, i hammered them till gold i loved the snow it was like 6 hours of the hateful eight, lol amazing.

I loved the beginning too. To many people have ADHD and are use to fast pace games like call of duty and fortnite. Red Deads pacing is wayyyy different.

i love everything about the game except main missions, hell yesterday i spent 8 hrs studying songbirds through binoculars and it was the most fun i've had in a game in forever, my only gripe is with story missions. they're so annoying, and when u retry it it's 10x more annoying. and it becomes a game of reloading and navigating menus. everything else about rdr2 is a dream. but the missions ruin the whole experience, because there's so ****ing many and even though u only really need 70, it's sucking every last bit of fun out of the game, one can take hours and hours.

Yeah I already finished the game, it wasn't that bad at all. I was more focused on the story. However, just take a break from missions, I did missions for 4 days non-stop.

Give me some of your fish!!! (I hope someone gets that here)

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy it here and once online kicks off, hope to run into you on there.

Yeah, a RDR2 party online would be fun.

Well im in chapter seven, money is scarce, every mission puts a bounty on you, sh*t every time you fart you get two more so please don't try to defend these retarded game mechanics. They need to be addressed

There is 6 chapters and 2 epilogues, and I already finished the game. How am I defending the mechanics when I literally just said the criminal system is sensitive? 🤷‍♀️

Having practiced all the usual bonding techniques with my horse, it is now stronger and healthier than at the beginning of the game, the personal bond is strong too.

However, the problem is there seems to be no way to feed the horse any of the elixirs you carry in your satchel at any given time. For example... let's say you're riding from Valentine to Rhodes (one of the challenges in the game) and your horse starts to tire as his stamina is critically low. In my satchel I have a number of elixirs and food items that would help the horse recover more quickly (as this is what works for Arthur Morgan when he's low). For some reason you cannot feed the horse these elixirs either from the saddle or when standing next to it. The items are greyed out in the inventory and cannot be selected to give to the horse.

Consequently they are totally pointless items and just take up valuable rom in your inventory.

Can anyone explain why this is and if there is some way of using them?

    Thanks

You don't give the horse items from your satchel, you hold L1 or LB, and then you hit R1 or RB and chose the horse, and there you can feed or give the horse the medicine or food to gain stamina.

I love how physics have been applied to so many things in the game and for most part it seems to be working great, but the Euphoria Physics Engine leaves much to be desired in terms of cloth and hair physics simulation.
When looking at things like wearing a Duster Coat or having long hair/beard, Euphoria's limitation become very apparent. Either that, or R* didn't implement it properly.
Looking at a game like The Witcher 3 for comparison, that uses the Havok physics engine, the difference is night and day!
A perfect example would be Geralt with long hair (no HairWorks) and wearing the Ursine armor at any level, but particularly level 1. Hair and cloth simulation is probably the best it's ever been. And that game is now 3 years old and was made on a much tighter budget than RDR2.

Getting properly implemented physics is particularly important for a game like RDR2 where horses are center stage and where they aim for such a high level of realism. Getting the best possible hair physics (and rendering) is quite important, especially since horses play such an important role. But as it stands, I think the cloth and hair physics in RDR2 is sub-par at best. Very much last-gen quality.
They could have used Havok and possibly gotten way better results across the board.

I don't know why the Euphoria Physics engine is praised for being so incredible, when it really isn't.

It's a shame because the physics limitations really stand out like a sore thumb in this game. It would have benefited greatly from a better physics engine.

I love drifting the horse, it's such a cool feature in the physical mechanics.

This is why I always create a backup save before starting a new mission.  It's saved my horse three times now.  With some missions, you can't save during, so I try to do it before I start off on anything new, even if I'm in the middle of nowhere.

    This is a good idea.

It has literally cost me over 10 legendary animal and fish, some after fighting fish for a good 5 minutes and it is killing the game for me. I don't even want to play it anymore

You can get rid of bounties by paying them off so they don't come and try to kill you when your in areas you shouldn't be. Just pay off the bounty and try to stay away from main cities and killing people. This should allow you to peacefully hunt.

Have you ever had a crack in the audio during some action in the game like looting an enemy or selectiong weapons and items? For me the crack occurs in the right ear. I need to know if it's just me that this happens or someone else.

     Thank you.

Never had this happen, it's definitely your headphones.

Seriously every time you try to hunt or fish it is ruined every single time. Awesome game mechanics, these developers don't realize they ruin really good games with horrible programming. You can't hunt or fish while you are wanted and literally turning your horse and bumping someone over will get you bounty hunters after you. Please fix this sh*t, I could see around towns but this sh*t happens in the middle of ****ing nowhere

Yes, the criminal detective system is very sensitive. I would love to see a fix from Rockstar in the upcoming updates.
