Is this not in the game? And if not, why would they take that out? In GTA V it is called aim assist full or something like that, and in RDR 1 I dont believe it is called anything, it is just there. But right now, all I can do in the game is switch targets by re aiming instead of flicking the right stick to switch between multiple targets quickly.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, your control options are as follows:
Lock-On Mode (On-Foot): Normal, Narrow, Free Aim, Wide
Aim Assist Strength (On-Foot): Adjustable
Lock-On Mode (Mount/Vehicle): Normal, Narrow, Free Aim, Wide
Aim Assist Strength (Mount/Vehicle): Adjustable
These are all the Targeting options as of now.

So I closed my application for the 1st time ever today. I opened it again to play later on and... All my sh*t is gone! Not only is my white Arabian gone, my DLC horses are gone and now I need to buy for $450!
It gets worse, all my guns on that saddle and the saddle are gone! They we're all gold guns, gold knife, gold dual sawed offs, Everything I did at the gunsmith, all engraved and leathered.
I now have a fkn tenny donkey and $300... The same sh*t happened in RDR1, I quit!
1 hour ago, Biggy86er said:Same happened to me but all I’m missing is the 2 horses I got from the PreOrder and Ultimate Edition! Anyone know how to get anything back?!
This happened to me, and I have the digital version. First, close application on your system, and go to the main Red Dead Redemption 2 game page. Scroll down until you see add-ons, then you should see your DLC there, or go to your downloads or purchased items. However, if your on XBOX, steps may be different but should be similar. Once you see your DLC files, they should be already installed, delete the files, and reinstall. Once you reinstall the files, go back into Red Dead Redemption 2 and then start the game. Once you are loaded, go to the stables, and your horse will be there. (your welcome). If this doesn't work, do it again.
Also, as for the weapons, they should be accessible in the gunsmith if you BOUGHT them. If however, you did not buy them, it's not your gun, and you will not be getting them back. However, if you did buy the gun from the gunsmith, go get your horse back from the stables in the steps I showed above. (it automatically comes with the saddle) and then once you and the horse exits the stable, get off your horse, and choose L1 to pick from your horse saddle of inventory of weapons, and it should be there if you purchased it. Once you have your gun, you should still have your customized weapon, if not, go into the gunsmith, and the custom attachments should already be listed as "owned" and you just select it back.
Get back to me if it works, and I hope this helps you guy.
Good luck 😎

I'm still trying to catch up on sleep. Was playing RDR2 nearly non-stop. I managed to go without sleep for like 45 hours, nearly two days. I do not recommend it.
Yeah I finished the main story yesterday. What a game.

Hi Karl, welcome to the forum. Short answer, no.
I wish this was an option. Takes years to reload, and weapon sway makes you shoot at everything EXCEPT for the person your trying to shoot. Honestly, the reload times, and weapon sway makes the game feel choppy and slow, if they added automatic reload, and took of that stupid weapon sway, the game would feel more smooth and fluid, and more fun in general.
I literally shot someone 7 times and all of the shots missed except for one shot, and then I had to take a few years to reload, and awkwardly sitting in the battle doing nothing but taking forever to reload and missing when my marker was right on the dot. Honestly not a fan of the realistic sway and aim and reload times, maybe it would be cool if it's strictly a 1st person game, but this is 3rd person..... SHOOT THE GOD DAM ENEMY PLEASE, SO I CAN PROCEED TO KILL 800 MORE PEOPLE LOL.

Ive been seeing some things regarding supposed controls issues in different places. Not sure how legitimate these claims are as the controls to me dont feel so different from GTA V. What I wanted to know is though, is it likely that Rockstar will patch in some sort of “fix” to appease these complaints? Has anyone heard anything about this?
The controls aren't bad, but the game feels very slow and choppy at times. For example, when you go to shoot someone and the weapon sway is dashing all over the screen and you are shooting at everything BUT the person your trying to shoot. Also, sometimes when your shooting, it reloads sometimes instead of firing the gun which I find is annoying. The reload of the gun should be automatic when firing a weapon, in my opinion, it just makes the game play feel less fluid and smooth.
Sometimes there is also moments when your just reloading and it takes years to reload, and the other guy is like inches from you and you are both sitting there running and reloading from each other and it feels like the action pauses. Not a fan of this, hopefully they fix this, as this is truly my only "MAJOR" complaint of the game.

I am not sure who celebrated it here, just wanted to wish you all a safe and fun Halloween. I am getting ready to head out for a bonfire. I didn't dress up as anything, too lazy for that. Though if I did, I would have loved to of went as John Marston. Did you guys do anything today, any plans for at night?
Happy Halloween, I usually go out to parties, but I'm keeping it breezy tonight, and playing the game. I have been working all day unfortunately.

Yeah i have not seen any proof that Rockstar is working on it. All this started from a support chat where the guy basicly said they are working hard on all issues, thats a normal response on any game. Doesnt mean they working on this blurring issue. And the fan sites are quoting from this forum as well making it even harder to tell whats true or not.
I think the problem with fixing this that it might give worse performance, maybe this blur is whats needed to have a steady 30fps? hope not but RDR2 is one insane detailed world, i cant believe the consoles are actually rendering this at all.
Rockstar just released the game, trust me they are wanting feedback. Maybe they are waiting for all the feedback to fix the main issues in 1 update.

Since the beginning of Chapter 2 I have been playing in free roam, a couple of crimes later and I have a $110 bounty in Handover and a $150 bounty in West Elizabeth. What is the best way to fix this? (Finding a lot of money, restarting the game, etc?)
2 hours ago, Benjo said:Loot lots of people and search every drawer etc. You will find rings and pocket watches and all sorts which you can then sell to a fence. Naturally you will make money as you progress through the story too so you can pay off your bounties as you earn.
Or you can just do the gold bar duplicate glitch, and make $15,000 easily within a few minutes. You can keep repeating the glitch until you have as much money as you want. I learned about the glitch when I was almost done with the game, so it's basically worthless to me now, as I already finished the main story. But once you free roam, you can easily do it and have to fun and do whatever you want.
Others have different views and opinions about doing glitches, but it's there if need be.

Yesterdayevening I came up with an idea to make it possible to fast travel to waypoints in the game. I use it all the time now 😄
How I use it:
- Switch to cinematic view
- Double tap X a few times
- Click the 3D printed clip on the controller
- Go for a drink, bathroom break, just eat in front of the television while you are going to the destination
- Arrive at the destination 😄
Here a demo on how I do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8NaDcwAx6Q
Very creative, but unfortunately, I'll be taking the stagecoach!

If you've upgraded your camp you can call your horse back from wherever it is too
Oh yeah, and that too. It's funny because when I was playing the story, I never donated to the camp, except for like 2 times the entire game.

Always fast travel, or die near your horse. NEVER leave it behind, or you will have to steal another horse to get it, or hope your near a stable.

Oh yeah, Black Ops 4 netted $500 Million in the first week, Red Dead Redemption 2 netted $725 Million in the first 3 days.

Any idea on no. of units?
They didn't release number of units, but you can get a general idea if you divide $725,000,000 by $60 (for each game) which equals about 12,083,333 copies. However, not everyone bought the $60 standard edition, so I don't know what the exact numbers are, but that's a general idea.

According to Rockstar (via BusinessWire) Red Dead Redemption 2 reaches $725 Million on it's first three days of launch. This makes Red Dead Redemption 2 the second highest grossing entertainment launch of all time, with Grand Theft Auto V being in first place. That's remarkable considering the Red Dead Redemption series isn't as big as Grand Theft Auto, or is it now?
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 had secured the title for most ever pre-orders, most day one sales and most first three days sales.
Full list of sales achievements by Red Dead Redemption 2.
- Biggest opening weekend in retail sell-through across all entertainment releases;
- Second biggest launch (three days) in retail sell-through across all entertainment releases;
- Biggest entertainment launch of 2018;
- Most pre-ordered full game ever on PlayStation Network;
- Biggest day one full game sales ever on PlayStation Network;
- Biggest first three days full game sales ever on PlayStation Network.
