Howdy Lex and welcome!
Dual shooter or single shooter? I'm honestly more of single shooter myself but I just probably don't know any better.
Leave Clark alone for a bit during your first few days (but then come talk to me so that we can devise a plan to take him out properly).

So I'm guessing (excuse the stupid question) that the PSN account is always the same (i.e. my PS3 account would be the same on PS4 if I had a PS4 with a PSN subscription)?
Do these ever expire if I had originally created a PSN account when it was free (on PS three, haha) versus what I would create if I had to sub to PSN Live (lol that sounds like a mix so I'm not fixing it)?
Anyway I had two, one was trixter (UK) and the other was a US one that I can't remember because I only used it to try and score content that wasn't available on the UK store. Can people play together across regions?
Damn I've been out of multiplayer for far too long on console it seems.
So many questions, so little beer.

Was looking for a place to hang out as i wait for and eventually play the sequel of my favourite game excited to read about everyones theories and experiences
i remember back in the day there was another red dead forum that eventually died out its exciting to see the birth of this forum from the sequel years later
Welcome aboard! Always good to get new fans along for the ride.

Might be a way for them to try and prevent people from exploring certain parts of the map especially if we do actually get to swim.
I think a few games of done this in the past with weather but the only one I can think of right now was Far Cry Primal. Not sure how I feel about it...on the one hand not being able to get into Mexico too soon in RDR was actually a good thing I guess.

Remember it's been delayed till next year so 90% of the work probably hasn't been done.
I reckon it actually gets pretty involved and it's something I'd love to see a documentary on (a Rockstar AAA production style from design to shipping type of thing). Would have been awesome in this case because then we would hopefully have known what really caused the delay, what issues they encountered while creating the game, myths on the original design that was said to be in hell for a period of time a while ago, etc.
Another example from the one bit that I read up on a while ago was a piece on the voice actor used for Red Dead Redemption. You can read up on it over here - amazing how much effort and time it goes into getting voice (and also motion capture in this case) done from casting/auditions to recording and then eventually completed product.
QuoteWiethoff entered the studio where the audition was being held, and was immediately greeted by 30 men dressed as soldiers. The session runner gave him his lines, and a basket of laundry. Say the lines and fold the laundry, he was told. Keep it natural.
He was rushed, nervous and didn't have enough time to learn his lines before he was thrown in front of the camera for a test.
"I had no idea what was going on," he says.
They filmed the short scene only once, and Wiethoff was allowed to leave. Thinking it very easily could have been a waste of time, he headed home. Both he and his agent had no idea what this was all about — until Wiethoff won the role only a few days later.
But Wiethoff is keen to stress the project wasn't what we know as Red Dead Redemption. The character of John Marston wasn't even fully formed, nor was the story — it had barely even been started. With so much work having been put into the game's technical demands, there wasn't much of a character to even explore.

I remember these! There was something else like this. It wasn't a phone though it was a handheld something that can go online I think. I can't remember what it was called but it flopped harder than a box of bricks. My mom actually got me one. I only ever used it to play wheel of fortune.
Was it maybe the Gizmondo? I also remember reading about it back in the day but they didn't make it our way

Damn....memories!
I had one set of ideas (who doesn't want to be a fighter pilot growing up after watching crap like Airwolf, Topgun, etc). while my parents of course had similar ideas but in more practical routes (plumber, electrician, etc.). Then there was the ultimate option: live at home while Ma and Pa pay for everything, leave you to do whatever it is you felt you needed to do to "find" yourself and then just support you when you had discovered online gaming that allowed you to never leave the house.
I eventually chose neither option (because two of them were never really options anyway with the third being ruled out because I'm blind as a bat).
Back on topic I remember always wanting to get the N-Gage thing that was a mix of a cell phone and a hand-held gaming console. It was too expensive (and hard to get hold of locally) at the time but I still wanted one with a passion. It did appear to fail someone badly though so I should probably be thankful for living in a shit-hole country lol. It had bomberman dammit!

I'm not entirely convinced that we've seen it all but that could also be because I've only watched the new trailer once in crappy res while being at work. That's right, I watched it "once" but not really properly because I get to keep checking back over my shoulder (work environments suck!).
This does look to be something that is dividing people though: Some appear to love it to bits while some absolutely have no reservations in laying down the hate. One thing is for sure and that is that this may not be the system seller that Microsoft and/or Sony were hoping for while at the same time it may be the system seller that Microsoft and/or Sony were hoping for.
Personally I'm in no rush until I get home tonight (what time is it again?) to watch the trailer properly without any distractions.

Most days I have no issues sleeping while every now and then (perhaps once or twice a week) I just can't sleep after around midnight. The nice thing is that one night like this means that the following night I will sleep better than ever before.
So what do you do in these hours where everyone else is fast asleep?

Smoking
Was very guilty of this myself. In three days I'll have stopped for 1 month

Not the first time I've tried stopping (the longest I've done is just on 7 months) but it's been a long time and for the first time now I'm able to actually drink a beer and resist. Sure the craving is still there but I honestly believe that my mind has been tuned correctly now. Time will tell!

It will as of 2018. I think this could be the reason. They want more games like the above to be on the console.
Thanks for that.
I must admit that having the option to optionally download the multiplayer bits and pieces is at least nice for anyone only interested in the single player portion, all games should do this so that we don't have to download 20-30GB of crap each time a multiplayer update is made to something like Doom before we can have a bit of fun in the single player.

Okay a link for those interested as well as a question (I'll search for it when I'm not lazy too):
https://www.polygon.com/2017/9/13/16305008/wolfenstein-2-doom-nintendo-switch-release-date
https://www.gamespot.com/videos/doom-and-wolfenstein-2-coming-to-switch-skyrim-swi/2300-6440864/
Okay so the question: does Nintendo (switch) multiplayer also require a subscription like XBox and Playstation?

What is pretty amazing is that they also plan to bring Doom and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus to switch. I'd have bet money against them ever doing this so I'm quite keen to see how it turns out, how long it takes and what it ends up costing when one opts for the catridge version.
As for RDR2...well I guess anything is possible but I'd still be super pissed if they passed PC again regardless of whether or not they also ported it to be available on my microwave: be fair and release it everywhere is what I say!

I read something about the Fractured But Whole game and I lost it. I couldn't stop laughing.
Apparently they have it where the darker you make your characters skin the less money you make and the more racially direct comments you will get in the story. So if you are as black as you can be, you will make the least amount and also be ridiculed the most.
Then they have a skit where you are with Mr. Mackey (spelling that right?) and he asks you what gender you identify as. When you say cis-male or cis-female he says he can relate to the real struggle of identifying with the sex you are born with.
This kind of stuff is hilarious to me!
Haha yeah I read about that too. It's basically tied in as a difficulty setting.
From Eurogamer:
QuoteIt turns out, if you pick a non-male character, Ubisoft will use the conversation with Mr Mackey as a smart retconning of The Stick of Truth.
"So the whole King and Stick of Truth thing, she was actually a girl the entire time?"
Mr Mackey then asks you to clarify exactly what you mean by a girl. You're then asked to select whether you identify as cisgender or transgender.
From PCGamer:
QuoteInterestingly, it's Cartman, normally the most wildly (if obliviously) offensive character in South Park, who points out the impact of the change. "Don't worry, this doesn't affect combat," he says during the character creation process. "Just every other aspect of your whole life." Ubisoft confirmed that aspect of it, saying that the difficulty slider impacts the amount of money players are given, and how they're spoken to throughout the course of the game.
It's a clever bit of commentary on the realities of racism, although how it will hold up over the course of the entire game (which is to say, whether it will devolve into an excuse for easy punchlines) is an open question. I do feel reasonably safe in predicting that, similar to last year's addition of randomly-assigned genders in Rust, tying skin tone to the difficulty level will make some South Park fans thoroughly unhappy. Whether or not that's a bad thing is, I suppose, a matter of perspective.
So I'll probably be playing as a pale male lol (just like in real life because I have no spine).

As an extra survival mode it could actually be fun: Can you cut it in the wild west kinda thing with just your horse and trusty 6-shooter and knife or something along those lines (maybe then compare to see how long you could survive compared to others but without having to actually play online). Making it a main theme though would suck and I also very much doubt they'd consider anything like this (hell we shouldn't even have re-generating health in my opinion so I'm probably the wrong person to ask lol).

It likely cost more because those cartridges are designed to handle interval gaming like the old school ones. Disks have always worked better and I am shocked they went back to them now after seeing that on 3 (Gamecube, Wii, WiiU) consoles since the last cartage console they did (N64).
Yeah agreed, going back to cartridges does seem a bit odd but I guess they're also pretty unique in doing that. I always prefer physical media myself over digital but I'm quite happy with DVD/Blu-ray especially when it's so much cheaper.

These sites aren't specifically for game shows however I did catch a few in browsing. Pretty cool idea for sites overall I thought:

Nice! I wonder if this means we will see another one in the future. This is my second favorite Rockstar game next to RDR so I am hoping for it.
They were working on one but sadly it did get canned. I'm hoping that they do revive it (quite possible they decide based on the reaction to this remaster).
Oddly (or maybe not so oddly) enough the switch physical version costs more than the other two physical versions that'll be available. Makes me wonder if the cartridges were really a good idea.

Also been a while since I watched a really good gameshow.

I get where this is going, role-playing as an "entertainer" from the period. I like it!
Would be nice if they had that sort of focus on creating little "packets" of content that you could dive into to focus on but if they did I suspect it would be a combination of what we'd like versus that they think we could afford, i.e:
To be honest I'd probably push the sale of these if I was a shareholder:
