I deliberately went ugly.  But I want the option to change because I didn't go ugly enough in hindsight!  My backstory is that I came from Butchers Creek, and I'm diseased.

Yeah, they had to split the cash for gambling.  I'd rather they do that, and have some MTs than not have poker.  Fair trade IMHO.

The increase should make it roughly in line with 'normal' hunting/fishing.  I would consider that slight, but YMMV.  If it helps explain my thinking   At the moment the missions are not profitable enough in comparison.

I think the economy needs tweaking and balancing, but I'm not an overhaul, IMHO.

It's a bit pointless, tbh, to compare in game prices to RL prices from that era, because the earnings potential are unrealistic too (think how much you get for a single fish!).

I'd be very surprised if they reset everything.  I can see them maybe banning some folk, or maybe resetting somethings (like gold or cash), but not everything.  Especially given that the Beta period seems set to last quite a while.
