What is a Western without a bar fight and someone getting thrown through a window?
I don't like that when I go get drunk in a saloon then start a brawl it's only a short moment before some NPC starts shooting and the whole thing becomes a blood bath!
I want it more classic cinematic Western rather than GTO with cowboy hats.

I'm come to believe that the basic economy isn't actually too bad - it just seems mega rough because of five things:
1) Gold being unable to unlock stuff early, being too hard to get, and being an obvious set up for MTs
2) Missions not paying out enough to make them worth the time - they need better rewards
3) Purely cosmetic items, like many clothes, haircuts etc. being overpriced
4) Very arbitrary level locks on stuff
5) Trolls making hunting and fishing harder than it has to be

Seasonal events - Mardi Gras in St Denis, Halloween (zombies and werewolves) in the Bayou, Christmas in Mt Shan etc
Bring back the night folk
Sites of interest (with journal entries?)
Mexico, Cuba, Sisika Penitentiary!
Ponchos, Crossed Bandoliers, satchels
A voice for our character!
More background music with actual songs/voices - even if just campfire songs
More weather effects - shooting stars, twisters, earthquakes(?!)
Bar fights where no one starts shooting, breakable table/chairs and bottles, and people getting thrown through windows!

On the issue of exploration, does anyone know if they've kept sites of interest and weird NPCs in RDO?
I've found the tiny church, but can I also find the giant bones, snake mound, pirate ship, etc? It'd be nice if many of these have been kept as things to discover when free roaming

While we wait for minigames, new story missions, robberies and other stuff to make it into the game, what fun stuff have you found to do in free roam besides stranger missions or series events/games?
I'll list some of the obvious to start off:
Hunt, Gather & Fish
Clear gang hideouts
Steal/Ride trains, coaches and canoes
Explore and rob shacks
Craft, cook and customise items
Start bar fights, commit murder and go on NPC kiling rampages
What am I missing?

I reported the bug to R* and got a message back later saying it had been 'resolved'. When I'm next on I'll find out if it has or not ...

No, but I have had the game keep telling me I have now got bonding level 1 with my level 4 horse - but when I check the horse stats it's level 4. Confused???

Has anyone tried this?
Spend all cash and see what happens when the camp moves or you get fined for killing a horse or something?

I love how they get so bored that they cant troll the poor dude cooking that they turn on each other. Levels of crippling stupidity are through the roof!

Yes, I agree! though I got quite a 'thrill' last night when I went running up to a shack in the dark and ran straight into a Grizzly outside - oh boy that made me act quick!

Yes, there's some good shack hauls about. I always love looting homes and cabins, always nice to find free food, gun oil and especially jewellery.
I think the respawn repeat thing is an exploit, though, so I wouldn't be surprised to see R* patch it soon.

Weird ... I had a similar problem but without the insurance. Have you selected heal horse form relevant menu?

Sooooo ...
I cleared a gang hideout near Lagras and went a-lootin'. Half way through, while searching a hut, the entire gang respawned around me and started moaning about the bodies on the floor!! I tried to run for cover but got riddled with holes before I had a chance to get somewhere safe. Ouch! Got ambushed by a bug!
Oh well ... I cleared them out again after the respawn, and looted them for the second time

... not seeming to realise I can break out of it and shoot them in the head?
Happened a few times now when they lasso me out of the blue, obviously thinking they can have fun with me, only to find they get an unexpected bullet to the brain.
Have I found a rare cache of imbecilic trolls?

I'd be amazed if they did a total wipe - many folk would not be happy with that at all. They might put some caps in, or remove money or something, but I'm confident there will be at least some crossover, like challenges and awards or certain amount of levelling, or some special beta reward or something.

Did you try 'heal horse' in the menu?

When you start a session do you have your free thoroughbred with you/available? If not you have the same problem i had. I resolved it by going into the relevant menu and selecting heal horse. I have no problems now.

It does that for everyone. I guess it's to stop everyone wanting the same spot. But it moves to quick and too far away!
