  1. I've been just about managing the cash so far - I've upgraded my camp, modified some guns, and always enough food.

    My tips:

    1) Having ultimate edition, with free varmint rifle and horse really, really helps.  Sorry.

    2) Unlocking ranks gives treasure map rewards.  Always worth doing.  Rank up as quick as you can by doing stuff.

    3) Loot every structure of cans of food and tonics.  You also sometimes find jewels to sell to fence.

    4) Whenever travelling (fast travel costs, only do when necessary), shoot and pick and loot everything as you go - don't worry about pelts (you'll never get them to the butcher), just get feathers, meat, talons etc - these you keep in satchel.  This is the most sure fire way of getting dosh - but it takes time.  I can spend a few hours doing this to get any real dosh.  But it's surefire.

    5) Clear bandit hideouts - then loot everyone.  Usually worth it.

    6) Loot bodies as you do missions.

  2. Yup.

Economy is weird (designed to get real world cash, I reckon), and trolls are very silly and tend to ruin gameplay at times.

Luckily I've not had too many encounters with trolls so far - about half a dozen or so.  The worst was the guy camping near the butcher who would kill you/horse just to stop you selling pelts etc.  What a douche!

  3. I totally understand the frustration with the archery thing.  Same with a number of other game modes where the objective is to capture a place, hold a place, use only certain weapons, or shoot targets or whatever - regardless more than half the group just run around shooting everyone - making the game mode entirely pointless!

I've even had people just ignore stuff on story missions and try to wreck them.  Why troll a story mission?

I think we have to admit that most people who play games are imbeciles and that games should be designed with that in mind.

  4. Yes, its very easy to get max honour just by looking after your horse and hunting - both give honour increase!

Even though I murder random passers-by in cold blood sometimes, and make dishonourable story choices every time, I'm still max honour with the gold buckle - just because I also slaughter animals on a regular basis!  Weird system ... :)

  5. Dont think I'v had that one, but I've had three or four maps so far and most have been an absolute horror to find.

Best thing to note: after activating eagle eye your controller will vibrate as you get closer (hotter/colder style), and when fairly close your eagle eye will show the item like legendary clues in story mode.  Just walk around slowly 'feeling' yourself getting closer with vibrate, then eagle eye it.

  6. That makes much more sense - I thought it would be very odd to have only one set of choices be able to give 100%.

Yes, it seems more reasonable to assume they left us on a cliff hanger until after Beta :)

Did you go way of gunslinger, or was it something else - I cant tell whether I ended honourable or not because it was so mixed in my groups.
