I don't know. I think it does have some effects, but I really dont know - guess you'll need to talk to someone who played as white hat and black hat both.

Obviously, it's totally up to parental choice.
I, for example, am very lenient regarding that kind of stuff - I grew up watching wholly inappropriate media etc.
But, to be clear, the game is an 18 in Europe; it deals with multiple adult themes and has clear adult content like: violence, sex, drugs, racism, rape, alcohol, smoking, gambling, torture, murder, crime, swearing, slavery, prostitution, guns, knives, and the such like.
I would imagine most parents wouldn't approve of this material for non-adults, especially non-teens.

It took me a while to get this mission to activate too. It just seemed to be a matter of waiting plus luck. I just roamed for a few days, checking back into camp every so often, until it happened.

I've hardly ever got bounties, and pay them off straight away. I'm playing very white hat until end of story with max honor (getting all max honor awards and unlockables). Then I might fall from grace pretty hard ...

Yes, I found this out by accident. Walking and greeting as you go, plus the $20+ contribution to group funds, quickly raises honour.

I think end of chapter 5 (iirc from guide). So you can only get max honour achievements/unlocks from then onwards.
You need high honour for missbale missions in chapter 6. There is also an honor magnifier activated in chp6 (good and bad)..

I believe if you fail a checkPoint multiple times, it gives you the option to skip that point.

You can visit 5 times - different dialogue, before he stops engaging with you.
There are many youtubes (hes called the cave devil or devil man) on how to get up to his place - but there's nothing there. - except the glowing pentagram thing, like Butchers creek.

Annoying - so I might as well as spend everything beforehand and buy junk.
I assume clothes, valuables, documents, guns and items (like gold bars and talismans) don't go?
And I guess I shouldn't have bothered stabling that white Arabian - at least I can get another, I guess.

And what happens to:

I had some weird luck on the last 2 gambling challenges.
On the dominoes one, I was playing in camp and it glitched so I had no opponent - obviously I won
On the poker one, I won two hands against a full table, then on the third everyone just folded and I won straight away!

Just managed to complete the final three gambling challenges. I'm gonna say they took about five hours - and I got very lucky. That was pretty annoying, given they are luck based.

Just cant recall how to explain the button presses - but it's there ... somewhere. Might be nice for me to find out how sad I am, lol
