they are likely too young to buy the game
Has this actually ever stopped someone though? I've never considered age limits on games to be a thing, unless it comes to parents I guess.

I am an unabashed shill for all things Guinness.
I also may or may not have even filled a bathtub with a 2 kegs of it at one point and soaked in it while watching college football for an entire day (and it may or may not have been the best day of my life).
Can I ask what country you're from?

I want the physical copy. I am old school and like feeling like feeling like my younger self ripping off the cellophane and getting a whiff of the toxic plastic fumes when I pop the case open.
It's not really possible for me to get physical copies where I live, so I'm going digital. Earlier in this thread I think I talked about the US version being more expensive than the UK one (which is where my Amazon account is based) but I've read a way around this so will be digitally downloading after preordering from amazon US.

Guess there's my answer.

On The 26th, if you listen closely, you can hear the minds of a million dork’s exploding.
What strikes me about this game is that it's not just dorks whose minds will be exploding on the 26th. Going to change gaming this one.

Not sure if you've seen this but looks like how NMS should have been done in the first place.
Thoughts?

That's because these sons are now 30-40 and are both playing games themselves and also buying them for their kids.

After the s*** storm that EA has been creating over the last few years, painting their portrait as a money grabbing bag of w*****s with no regard for their customers, many are boycotting Battlefield V and opting for RDR2 instead.
Some are just not buying it because either it's too close to RDR2, or it just doesn't look a great game. The uproar about having a disabled woman fighting on the front lines has led many to disassociate from the franchise completely.
Preorders have been described as "weak" which is not surprising given both EA's image and the game they are pushing, not to mention their "either accept it or don't buy the game" comment the other week.
Thoughts?

Well, I knew a few players that hated GTA cause you were always bad people doing bad things for bad reasons. To me RDR, you had been a bad guy that started doing bad things, but for good reasons. RDR2 from what I have seen, Rockstar has returned us to our roots of just being all bad. Yet it sounds like you can make better choices to change your fate (nothing confirmed, just rumors). Yet those players I mentioned before have been asking me about RDR2 and it sounds like they will be buying it.
Not buying a game because you don't like it, or don't like the genre or something, I can understand. It's the people who just aren't bothered, kinda play games but haven't bought one for 6 years and don't even know a new RDR is coming out, and if they did, still wouldn't be that interested. It's those people that I don't get. My mind can't comprehend it.

This made me think of something: I know it would have been oogie, but shouldn't dynamite have blown animals and people into body parts . . . ?
In the original RDR, they just rag-dolled in the air and landed dead. Would have been much better if they tore to pieces.
The same with shooting people with a shotgun - you could walk up to a dead body, shoot them in the face with your shotgun from a foot away, and they just kinda shift. It would have been much better if it had made the head just -- kinda -- atomize.
Hope they fix that in RDR2.
Gore levels have always been diluted in R$ games unfortunately. Can't see that changing now, as excellent as it would be.

I can't help but think this is exactly how religious people talk when they speak of those who don't believe.
Examples:

Come the reckoning and beyond, Heaven will exist in all its glory, and these people will go about their daily lives and never know it. They will sin and take part in sinful activities, not even bothered about the majesty that they would experience by taking the Lord into their hearts.
I just can't get my head around that.
Discuss.

I couldn't believe when we met and he said he didn't believe in a young Earth. I guess its just down to personal belief. Maybe seeing Heaven in all its glory will change his mind!

I hope it isn't longer and more accurate. Nothing like hunting bear in Tall Trees and getting mauled by a bear while you are carving up another and unable to do anything about it.
I believe there will be the option of skinning or not. In the IGN video the guys said that he shot a rabbit, then tore of its skin there and then. In the gameplay trailer we see Arthur walking with an unskinned buck on his back, which is also seen on his horse.

So here's a little thing that goes on in my head when a new GTA or RDR game is set for release. I have friends that don't even own a console, and my brother has a PS3 but never plays it.
Come October and beyond, RDR2 will exist in all its glory, and these people will go about their daily lives and never play it. They will sit and watch TV or read a book, not even bothered about the majesty that they would experience by playing RDR2.
I just can't get my head around that.

I don't know if they ever fixed it. Kind of curious to see if I can do it and see what happens.
I read that they fixed it in MP but didn't bother for SP.

That's both gross and cool at the same time.
On another note, did you know in the original RDR, that Dead-Eye worked for molotov cocktails, too??

Is that a hack or is it legit? I've done a zillion hours on this game and never seen that.

I've never replayed the story in any R$ game, I much prefer to mooch around the SP environment on my own completing side missions and generally just using my imagination.
